  4. panda car... I think he meansa cop car with the colours of the panda white and black....... Or am I thinking about old skool corolla colours too much?? :?
  5. cheers for your help here guys...... Tony, thanks for the warning about ecu running closed loop......Glad there are people here keeping an eye out..................but as Mat pointed out its not for an IS! :) Not for my altezza either, its for a friend with an ae86 trueno running individual throttle bodies and needed to map the fueling Anyway someone translated the jist of it if anyone was interested?? oh yeah and thanks for your witty comments! :D About the fuel control system This system contols fueling by altering the boost sensor signal. With this boost errors can be corrected and optimum mixture obtained. with this controller the adjustments can be made as follows (reffering to graph) vertical axis: output voltage horizontal axis: vacuum sensor with the knob in centre position the mixture is as standard. in the + direction it will become richer and more lean in the - direction. colours in circles (from top to bottom): red yellow white black i hope that makes sense.... seems like a posh resistor to me
  6. That car was registered feb 99' the car reaches here march :winky: feb '95 I meant............ having one of those days!
  7. See topic! will change to linky later ok mods! :)
  8. Yes they are! Good eye! its a 1jz powered drifty barge! i.e. 4 door soarer Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiice
  9. A friend has just imported this piccy1 piccy2 piccies to linkies and I think it's so pimp.................jdm 4 door saloon drifty Was wondering if this a lexi family or not? Are chaser's lexi??
  10. Sweet......will look out for you while in the area (dont forget to flash if you see a de-spoilered black tezza with private plate!!) back on topic: I can think of many other coupes before the celica if practicality isn't an issue: s15 silvia r32 skyline r34 skyline soarer's are nice dc5 integra (new integra) rx8 is niiiice car especially with your nipper not needing car seats!? As you are into the rwd I think (no matter how good a fwd car is) having dedicated wheels for the power delivery and the other set for direction will give the most true driving experience. I think a good progression would be the RX8 or the integra (fwd i know!!).......
  11. Yeah, but he's been trying to flog that Celica on TOC, E-bay, UJCC, Fensport etc for over 6 months now.... personally, if it hasnt gone theres either something wrong with it, or its too highly priced... ← Just noticed you're in wilts Where abouts (or have I asked that before?) You going to be going to japfest this year? oh yeah sorry for being
  12. Wasnt there someone here who wanted to swap their TRD celica for the IS?? It was a very tasty celica as well...trd suede seats and trd special headlamps!! but I would still stick with my altezza :P
  13. hope you had a good one (bit late I know!)
  14. Looks quite good, like the sharp creases and influences from the DB9 and also from the celica (from the trailing edge/rear) Don't know about the huge extractor fans below the rear clusters?? I like the rear diffuser and also the detail to the front wings (aero reasons?) wonder if its a rolling shell or with actual running gear??
  15. nice......... you'll need more bhp ant torque to make it move! :winky: you could always get a lower profile tyre! or do it jap style and have smaller tyre and streeeeeeetch them over the wheels dori style!
  16. I find online quotes not the greatest, its always better to call up and do some haggling with other insurance brokers. I would try a few of the larger companies like tescos and admiral etc and the the more specialist ones. I think you have a few hurdles - your age, you're an overseas student (so haven't had a uk licence for long? - in fact have you a uk licence? Reason i ask is one of my uni friends ws from malaysia and iirc she couldn't drive without a uk licenceholder in the car........ but then another friend, she had an international one and she could) I take it your fmaily are not over here?
  17. Wow some of you are paying some serious insurance premimums!! Mind you before my altezza I was paying over 1k for the fto, and the puma iirc!! Justin, as a student do really need a lex? When I was studying I had a brand new 106xsi and then a puma......... I was forever worried about parking the car in the student scummy areas as they were not standard for a start, let alone a pimp brand!
  18. Blaubar, same make as the covers Aren't the wheels BBS'??
  19. If I go with them I sure will use your id! Thanks again! Oliver
  20. Cheers for the info Totally agree with the maintainance thing......my car was serviced last year and as I now have a decent drive I can do alot more than I could have before (apart from washing the car!) Will go down the induction route soon I think and get that muffler I bought from Scott (ages ago) put on Altezzas are you still about?? Zee> ............... Do you 100% want Mr Singh's Induction kit? As I am after one either from Altezzas or Mr Singh's Apex'i and understand you now have first refusal :(
  21. Cheers fella. ← Ahhhh........ the plot is revealed............... Zee does your 'potential' car have TRD cluster?? :winky: niiiiiiiiiice
  22. I've only heard good things from these guys........ I am looking for cheap adsl and was thinking about going with them, I know they are new, I know they don't have a huge customer base but it seems a good deal and their forums are not censored (not to my knowledge anyway) As you have used them can I pick your brains? How long have you been with them and have you had any issues? What plan are you on? Do you get any contract? i.e. prices fixed for at least 1 year although contract is 3 months. What are the options for payment? Direct debit? bulk payment? I would really appreciate your comments, as I am seriously looking to get on to human download speeds (finally!!) Cheers!!
  23. JZZ30's are the canines cahoonas! I would love to have twin turboed rwd'ed drift slag (and not the lardy supra's :P ) Not feeling the auto tho......... I know should provide links but you have to see this drift b!tch d1 drifty thing another soarer....... How can you not love the long wheelbase pimped toyota!! :winky:
