  2. Scott thats a generous offer but I have the grill, just don't have the emblem :( Anyway if we do go for the temporary swap for eSVA that wont harm my car will it? i.e. won't affect the fueling requirements etc etc
  3. the trd emblem is a stuck on one and not the genuine trd one. as they have trdsports Scott> any luck in sourcing them?
  4. my offer still stands you know? just waiting to see if w/e is ok
  5. C'mon, There MUST be somebody who can help a top guy who's looking after us Altezza owners!! :) Alex? Mark?
  6. I can see ALOT of ppl willing to help you now! :) I can't promise you anything but can we talk offline? you will have pm with my email address k?
  7. Well it was originally some aftermarket one which was LOUD, now it is the standard muffler........ So I could get the use of the 'kit' for a few days and then go back to my standard setup? Arrgghh that would kill me....... talk about 'tease'!
  8. Scott I can help you out but the problem is I need access to another car PLUS I'm in Essex.... if thats any use?
  9. Hi, Just wanted to some advice and info from the gurus on this forum..... I came back from swindon yesterday (to essex) about 150 mile journey, plain sailing no stop start traffic did about 70-80 mph all the way. I parked the car up on the curb and got out. There seem to be some signs of smoke coming from the underside, I look and it seemed the CAT was producing this bit of smoke (which I could smell) not bellows of smoke just some. Really wanted some advice of what it could be, what could cause it and implications (costwise) I had the car serviced and had the aftermarket backbox replaced wth its original standad one (due to noise) recently (about 2 weeks ago) I'm sure there was no smoke before the service and after (although I never drove it for more than 30 mile stint) Can anybody help? Didn't get much sleep last night :( Cheers
  10. nice choice.......... is the nismo kitted ones for sale yet? or are they options?
  11. Sorry to hear that dood. maybe find out how much sva centres are charging to get cars to UK spec and 'do it the other way round' perhaps? Is there anything salvageable btw ;)?
  12. I think this guy hertsALTEZZAcol bought some off ebay and said they were good (maybe the 5000k ones not sure), if you do a quick search on bulbs or xenon lights or something it should come up.
  13. Dannyson> The only worry about the fact that it's an import is determining what it is from the seller. If we knew the chassis number we would know. The other issues can be associated with uk sourced cars also, some cars don't have any history - with japanese history surely they could be resourceful enough and get it translated? Well you say the altezza is a toyota which is totally different from a lexus IS. You do know that the Lexus brand was introduced for purely marketing a brand for the non domestic market - for those who want to buy.........even brag about the badge on the car! The Altezza AS200 isn't an IS200??? The points you have made are invalid imo.
  14. Did she 'really' say that? Also agree with AltezzaScott........ you'll get more bang for buck and even more exclusivity! :P
  15. Dave> you from the lakeside area? I tend to park it as far away from the trolley bins as poss and away from the entrance....... or failing that take the missus' car :P
  16. Saw a very nice IS in Aztec Fire with a very different bodykit and green calipers? I'm sure it was someone from here as it looks familiar........... very nice!
  17. you lucky so and so! Anyway, I take it you will be importing the car into UK? Probably sell it here in the future? Well I'd put my money on selling the manual one quicker than the tip in the future. I would test drive both and make up your mind from that. You could get the manual one and as you're in HK get some bits put onto the car before exporting and you would have saved some money (and spent some too!) Perhaps you could sort me out with some stuff also? ;) Initial D stage 4 DVD would be nice and some TRD bits!! go with the flow and don't let the 'saving a bit of money' thing cloud your decision too much
  18. Having had a tip FTO - I found that it was a big mistake, as i coudn't make use of its variable valve timing as effectively. Totally different car but I wished I waited for a manual FTO. Some ppl like the tips as it is soooooo much easier in stop start (something I miss in the fto!) horses for courses as they say! Are the tip controls on the steering wheel or by the gear knob? (Not that this matters but I would prefer on the wheel and I guess you were aware of that?) ps couldn't bring back some gear from HK could ya?! :P
  19. So those prices.......... that is excluding customs and tax right? how much for a set of graphite nuts all in? cheers oli
  20. Nah... Just get a 4 cylinder Tezz, and get it charged mate.... that way you have the classy looks with the grunt to back it up... Deinitely agree with that! scooby's are the next escort RST'!! I'm afraid............
  21. ahh ok... just read your spec.. don't think it had 18's! plus the guy wasn't that friendly :D
