  1. I wouldnt go so far as to say the best option. Its the easiest. What i dont like about it is that its like a switch. The pulley on the supercharger is pretty much the same as your AC compressor pulley. It has an electronic clutch that engages only at full throttle. This means that changing the pulley is a bit out of the question not to mention that if you do swap it for a solid pulley of a different diameter you would have to completely revise the fueling. The blitz sc kit is good for small power and fuel economy. If you are looking for a poweradder with room to grow and develop i would suggest the Power enterprise (rotorex based) centrifugal supercharger kit (will need to get custom intercooler kit made) or if you want a little more power the next step would be the Apexi turbo kit with their power fc...looking for more than that? HKS GT-RS kit. ← Thanks for insight Nik. So having chosen the mods for NA, you have the intake and exhaust sorted, is this more driveable? and do you know what you have released hp wise? has anyone seen the 2.2l stroker kit from HKS? Just wondering if this is a mod for adding/complimenting a turbo ?
  2. Wow They seem to be breeding! where do you buy all your bits from?
  3. Ok, I will wait to see Am's blitze'd altezza with baited breath..... JDM parts..................... How much would all that HKS stuff cost tho!!
  4. So what avenue would you suggest to compliment the high compression 3SGE engine? NA? Turbo? Supercharger? For a quick easy solution it seems that blitz is a good solution (until you want to run high boost levels)??
  5. Are what nitro or battery? I thnik the ones mentioned are battery apart from Maz?? his may be nitro The drift ones (that I'm looking into) are I believe battery too Just need to find out what deals my uncle can get out in HK!! :P
  6. According to Fensports website.......the Blitz charger "This raise power to 255bhp and gives the car 220FT/LB torque" which is I guess the 40-50 bhp increase however they did use aquamist........ and a fujitsubo header and muffler. Makes me wonder what produced what increase?? I think the supercharger does what is required from the 3sge engine............more low down torque! Zee........ if you are looking at the EXTREME side of things for the 3SGE, then look no further than HKS D1 incarnation....... over 500bhp
  7. Yes I have seen the other ones cheers for the input. I take it linksys are pretty good? (told its cisco or something?? :)
  8. wow Some nice rc cars.............goes to show we may grow up but we still love our toys! :P £60 for the kit? all mechanical bits too? I want just the shell, to go with my 360 and my carbon fibre mocked up 350Z and then it times for some rc drifting!!
  9. what about a good deal on just the adsl wireless router and wireless pc card?
  10. I just checked (went to smiths) The car is a black or even green altezza the guy is from cornwall........... with the trd bodykit, funny alloys (not to my liking I'm afraid) I'm not too fussed about the pace car bit, I'm more interested in the 270 ish bhp from the turbo! :) Might email banzai.........
  11. wow.............those models look so fine. the cars are too bling tho imho :(
  12. iirc it says the guy's from devon or somewhere!?? (memory is rubbish I know!)
  13. hi, ws looking at the new issue of banzai and there is a section for readers cars. There was a turbo'ed Altezza featured that I was hoping was someone from this forum. Appraently it was an ex pace car for Suzuka Please tell me it's someone from here!!!
  14. Hi, No I didn't go for these but I think it's the same guy I spoke to. He said he'd sell them for £250 and that he was over here for a drift event so I could have met up and saved in shipping! I don't like the offset - I want dish if I was going for new wheels! :P I'll pm you his email if you want
  15. Scott......... very valid point! I failed to realise that he wanted to sell the car when he got here. I think it still would be a right pain to return to std when it was over here. Mat..................I can see your point about the market easing but with certain 'elements' coming into play I would see the market for altezza's pick up over here in the uk, thats my intention and some of the other altezza appreciaters/owners
  16. would suggest getting a TOTALLY STANDARD manual one with low mileage and lots of history with some nice deep dished rims with tons of -ve offset!! But then buying lots of aftermarket parts like turbo's, induction kits, fmic, all electronic gizmo's, suspension bits, trd/bride bucket seats, full system mufflers, some spare rims (Rays, Gramlights, SSR's, WORK's or similar) and chuck it in the car while you ship it in a secure container............... Purely because of the model report that requires it to be totally standard when it goes thru the eSVA, once past this - then the fun begins! bolt everything on and you'll have a :tsktsk: of a car and whacking huge bill!
  17. That is the wrong unit for this car. ← no offense but what is up with this neal guy!?!?! does he need to post in all those threads?? ffs
  18. Mat has fitted a blitz to an altezza or a hks turbo kit? The price for the GT-SS is about £3700 rrp in japan this kit doesn't include but requires: F-CON V Pro Upgraded fuel pump Upgraded Clutch Also lowers ground clearance due to the movement of rad (?) It does include an intercooler (600x244x65mm), bov, rad cap, gasket, F-CON harness (but not V-pro)all plumbing and turbine When's it all going in?
  19. really? thats interesting, but I'm guessing it's less of a bolt on job....which I assume is one of the reasons why you went for the blitz sc?
  20. well I knew they were quick...... and I knew it was a rover coupe, but didn't think they were all turbocharged!! fair enough, I did give a nod of acknowlegement and he gave a thumbs up....... learnt my lesson now lets get into forced induction lessons :D
  21. 220 turbo got me from virtually stand still............ I blame my ******* std back box (my other bean can with faster flowing less angular pipes is much less restricting would have helped!!) I reckon I would have been chewing on his bumper through the twisties................... I thnik it was slightly tuned as it was a young lad and I could here his dumpvalve really want to see the result of the 'charger............ I'm looking at (only looking atm ) the HKS, APEX'i or TRUST turbo route........
  22. After being severely embarrassed by a rover 220 turbo coupe , I am interested in the forced induction route and would definitely be interested in seeing your blitze'd up altezza and it's performance increase! How goes it? Perhaps link me to a thread of your progress? Cheers :winky:
  23. Had one for xmas Top bit of kit!! Only gripes are: Can't get gps signal in house (why would you want to? don't know, but i wanted to play on xmas day!! :P) Can't type in FULL post codes (only RM16 6R_ have to leave the last letter out - something to do with post office having full rights to post codes or something??) Not really a problem as you can type in street etc No excuses for getting lost!! anything less than £400 is an amazing price!!!
  24. The super silicon ones are amazing!! As i said in my post the civic had standard honda ones, then replacement ones from halfords then bosche and they all juddered and smeared. The piaa silicon ones are smooth and really do the job. I think the trick is in the preparation of the windscreen. wash screen thoroughly, wipe dry, then use the little wipe it comes with, leave to dry, then use wipers in the dry to coat a fine layer of silicon for best effects. My altezza has piaa ones on (not silicon ones) but they seem really good as well (dont know how long they've been on the car tho') in short YES!
