  1. Have contacted one in Manchester he is going to check for me. Fingers crossed.
  2. Its none of those as far as i can see. It's a kind of guide next to the rear headrest that is attached with two screws. I'm currently phoning round breakers yards to see if any of them have any ls400 in. Needless to there's not many about.
  3. Its probably cheaper to buy a new one rather than replacing all the parts lol. Everyone seems to be getting all their parts from the USA , I've heard RockAuto are good anyone use them?
  4. Yeah that's what I was on about lol in my cack handed way :-)
  5. I'm not sure if this is the problem you have but I've heard other members talking about a linkage by the rear wheels that breaks and causes headlight levelling probs. As your wheels have been off recently it might be the problem if it was damaged or dislodged. Apparently it's a cheapish fix and I'm sure it was recently mentioned in another thread. I'm using my phone at the moment so can't search for you but I'm sure one of the more knowledgeable members can help. Good luck.
  6. I know its a long shot but does anyone happen to have one lying around they no longer need? In the mean time I will keep checking online as well as checking my local Toyota dealer.
  7. Bump. What he said. I'm clueless about wheels offsets etc etc all gobbledygook to me. Can any kind soul clarify what 16 or 17 inch alloys fit a mk3 97 LS 400 please. Also had a bit of a problem getting tyres for my LS last time, is there some alloys I should avoid?
  8. Don't think I've ever heard of one breaking. In fact the engines are sought out by the build your own looney fast vehicle brigade! It would I would suggest, be easier to find all the non ls cars with an ls engine in than to find a broken one in an actual ls ! If that doesn't say something about how good the engine is I don't know what does.
  9. Don't suppose they have a picture or illustration of that part do they?
  10. You might be onto something there Steve thanks. My leather is grey and so is the clip.
  11. Just fitted mine today took about 20 mins. Quick delivery and reasonable price. Thanks again to the OP
  12. Er, bit of a strange question, I've been trying to get a replacement seatbelt clip thingy (CRAP DESCRIPTION). Its the clip that holds the belt in place just next to the rear headrest even Benfur doesn't have one. I have a picture of it but haven't worked out how to post it, if its even possible for us non goldies.
  13. So, just to clarify. If I go to Profess I will get my conversion done along with certificate in One day. Am I also therefore to believe that taking it to another company the next day was duff info. I only ask as someone else mentioned earlier some of us live a fair distance away. Mind you, if you can book one of those cheap rooms from travelodge it wouldn't be so bad.
  14. Hi parrot, i dont suppose you have a link for those modulator thingies do you :-)
  15. Ah that's a little more reassuring. Why was one of our other members told he had to go elsewhere then?
  16. Do you mean Profess don't do their own DVLA registration!! That's a tad worrying. Do Leeds do the whole package including registration? Or as usual am I missing the point here?
  17. Personally i feel lpg is very worth while cash wise. I've been considering doing the conversion for some time and recent circumstances have made my mind up for me As a general rule of thumb i ignore most neigh sayers as on closer inspection of alleged facts most dont hold water. Is it just me or have recent calculations on these forums ignored the important imo factor of the ppl of gas compared to petrol! My vote is go for it if you are keeping the car for a couple years or so. Pros ~ Cheaper per litre. ~ Greener, cleaner fuel. ~ Good for most engines. ~ Longer range due to two tanks. ~ Will increase resale value of larger engined vehicles. ~ Did I mention cheaper per litre. Cons ~ Initial conversion costs. ~ Less service stations compared to petrol but getting much more common every week. ~ Pub experts who quite frankly know Jack S**t and think google is something to do with cricket! I would personally be grateful if people who have actually converted to gas would share their thoughts and experiences as this is the power of these forums to inform. Thanks and sorry if it sounded like a rant and for gods sake NEVER ask me about insurance costs! :-)
  18. I will hold off on purchase until discounts if any are negotiated. It can't do any harm to ask :-)
  19. Anyone else used profess? I'm watching with interest another thread about Leeds lpg to see how that goes.
  20. Slightly off topic but does the mk 4 unit fit and work in a mk 3 minus satnav obviously.
  21. Mine are on their way :-) looking forward to getting my brolly back!
  22. Congrats on the successful install, have you got any pictures? I think I am going to have to tackle this myself soon unless I can find a working original.
