  1. I find sometimes in drive when I come to a stop it feels like a shiver vibration when idling. Or on a very rare occasion if I have to brake harder than normal it feels like its about to stall but doesn't? Has anyone come across this before?
  2. £125 including fitting, which I thought was pretty cheap considering. Feels nice, thicker grips and a bit more cushioned.
  3. I'm normally really skeptical about this but had a friend service my car, and chucked in some fuel treatment, and its the first time I ever done it. I must say i'm getting a better fuel return even 3 tanks down the line by about 4/5 mpg. I do the same journey day in day out, not something I'd use all the time but pleased I did it. I thought I would just share my experience. I was going to do an engine flush but got scared and didn't. Its using a little bit of oil now and thought the engine flush may clean the stuff keeping the oil sealed at bay.
  4. All done, gone for blue stitching as I will be getting the F-Sport shifter soon to match.
  5. People who have used this foam and padding is it still providing a good fix for some of the noise?
  6. The only other option which seems more of a pain is the dark marble looking colour found on the later Advance trims, they do look quick nice.
  7. I use Shell V-power, firstly as its my local and secondly I just feel the better additives in the fuel will look after my engine just that little bit better. Interesting read - http://www.simplemotoring.co.uk/supermarket-vs-branded-fuels/#.VcfT2iZViwg
  8. Hey guys, I'm looking for some opinions about how I should wrap the interior of my car. I have grey leather seats and was debating to wrap the wood effect parts with carbon fibre. Now I could do it in standard colour or a silver looking colour carbon fibre a little like the ISF, which do you think would look better with the grey leather? This is a link to what my interior looks like (just taken from google.) http://www.parkwaymotorgroup.co.uk/vehicle_image/large_3402_13.JPG
  9. My very first mod is underway, getting the steering wheel re-trimmed, with a slightly thicker grip, perforated sides and blue stitching to match the f-sport line. The process takes two weeks so will get some pictures of the end result.
  10. I have heard and please dont hold me to this as I dont know how true it is, but the oil off these filters can cause the sensors to mess up.
  11. I see the prius going for silly money 4 years old and moon miles then again I have seen one of the first ones with over 500k on the clock.
  12. Hybrids will hold there value better than normal petrols, if only we know what to buy now and keep to make some money on in the future. Different brand but I see Renault Clio the v6 mid engine car selling at an impressive price and going up not bad at all. Especially when p'ex prices on Renaults are dropping big time due to the massive pre-registered number of cars out there.
  13. Hi, I'm looking to change my alloys to some 18's. Do the rear alloys need to be a different size to accommodate a wider tyre?
  14. I'm interested to know as well, I had 19" BBS CK's and no rubbing on the front.
  15. I can see your point of view and on a car at that cost then yes, on a cheaper car it could be ok and you could actually save money. Trouble is these days they offer better deposit contributions on finance sometimes and cash customers miss out a bit unfair. Luckily Toyota now I'm not if Lexus comes under this but they are one of the better mainstream brands for holding value.
  16. Also there is loads of schemes which offer deposit contribution and low rate where the interest you pay is lower than the finance deposit allowance. Secondly if you change your car on a regular basis why put 100% in where you could just pay 40% and get some equity at the end.
  17. Sometimes why would you put all your hard earned cash into a car which is a depreciating asset, PCP offers a great solution to keeping the cash in the bank. Some finance companies do longer PCP upto four years but you may find little difference as they may have a higher base rate of interest, of the GFV payment at the end adjusts alot.
  18. Basically I think over time heat and sun has got to it and the plastic flexes, and the clips un-align themselves then you get the horrible creaks and no your not alone sadly to say.
  19. I have heard of some people using a thin felt like material down the edges of the dash where it meets the windscreen. I believe with the sun and heat have a part to play in the noisy dash, my central speaker does it.
  20. In my 250 on a run I can get around 36-38mpg and keep in mind the cost of fuel is cheaper and I do think they are more reliable.
  21. Cheers for the reply, they do look a bit larger but I will have a proper look tomorrow. Thanks for the replies I will report back with the findings. Toffee what design MTEC's did you go for as that's what I'm looking at, also what pads did you use?
