  1. I have noticed my car won't go into 6th gear unless the engine has started warming up is this normal? I think it will go in doing alot higher revs than usual but I cant force it in with the paddles either? Its only because I live right near a dual carridgeway and usually heats up pretty quick.
  2. I have been looking at EBC grooved discs with redstuff pads for some better stopping power and looks a bit better too.
  3. My guess would of been rear brakes had seized on which seems to be fairly common on our car. Is there less lag when placing the car in PWR mode, on gear changes? Have you noticed any noises on start up, and I'm not sure if this would cause it and hope another member would know. Could the timing chain become slack and cause performance issues long shot I know but all the normal avenues seem to be explored.
  4. If you sold your car plus the cost of work, the kit etc your probably not shy off a decent used ISF. You could always look at the GS350H not bad economy, and plenty of grunt.
  5. Any update if a meet and cruise is likely?
  6. I have owned both and there is not much in it, and I would say on a longer journey the GS can get slightly better mpg. My opinion the IS250 is better looking but the GS300 has the superior comfort and power wise there isn't too much in it with the extra weight.
  7. I would come but work the majority of Saturdays so Sunday would only be a viable option.
  8. I had a powerflow on my first IS250 and it was bloody loud, of which I asked for a subtle sound. But hey back to pure bliss of silence, it was also the reason why I sold the first IS250 for the GS.
  9. Just so you know you can still drive the car with a dead fob, just place it above the push start button and press. The cars when new before being set up in the workshop only allow you to start them with the fob placed above the button, due to not being programmed with the car. Also if you have a manual and stall and the key is not with you, lets say your partner took it. As long as the start button light is red you can restart upto 2/3 times I believe.
  10. No problem, just take into account though, yours is SEL with MM. I had to travel 4 hours to buy mine for that specification in the colour I wanted, so just keep that in mind too.
  11. CAP is the best valuation tool, its what the cars are selling for at auction currently and what they are retailed for so a middle ground between the two and you have what its worth. Every dealer uses CAP, parkers and all that are generally alot further out.
  12. My IS250 around town is about 24mpg on a run 37mpg, the best I had was 44mpg. However when I had the GS300, I went to Belgium and got 46.7mpg not bad for a 3.0 :)
  13. Same as mine, great colour combination inside. Strangely enough after having owned 2 IS250's and a GS300 all with reverse camera I have only just noticed when in reverse you can change the guidelines from paralell park to bay parking.
  14. I know that slotted will make no difference for me on everyday use other than looks, which is my aim anyway. Drilled I want to avoid due to they can make a slight noise, I have considered getting some from a GS300, although that may wait until I do get myself some new alloys.
  15. Are they road legal and will they fail an MOT as side lights? Was looking at these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PHILIPS-X-TREME-VISION-LED-W5W-T10-4000K-BRIGHT-WHITE-TWIN-/231217852306?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item35d5a86f92 Will they throw any errors up?
  16. I like the grille, but I do think its too small a larger badge would finish it off nicely.
  17. Yokohama's have been proven to provide one of the best dry grips going.
  18. I have the bright white dipped lights as HID's but the side lights look a bit feeble as they are a yellow tinge colour, is there a certain bulb I can replace them with to turn them a brighter white? But I want something that will be reliable and durable as well, if that combination is viable?
  19. I'm looking to upgrade my brakes on my IS250 but I have a few questions, firslty what size are the front disc's? Now I was planning to get EBC slotted discs and red stuff pads, but is it ok to have slotted on the front and solid on the rear?
  20. I would be interested in this also.
  21. Apologies if this is elsewhere, but just thought I'd copy it here too. Now if this country had the 350 hands down that's what I'd get but the 200t seems a well laid out decent spec. http://lexusenthusiast.com/2014/05/27/lexus-200t-trademarked-australia-europe/
  22. bg244 and egr to cleaning and watch those lovely mpg numbers rise, that us Lexus owners care for so much :) I think there has been a fair few people on this forum and with that combo or one of the other has seen a smoother and more economical drive/result.
  23. Working Saturday :( otherwise I would be there.
