Does your windscreen have heater element in it?

Autoglass fitted a new windscreen on my IS200 today. I paid the £50 excess and noticed the invoice to Lexus insurance was for £650!! Also the fitter told me that the 53 plate IS200 uses a differant screen to all the others...Is he right???

or did the crack break the element? The crack only appeared after the element went POP..

Yeah, Only my sceen has cracked due to a fauly element. Im waiting for Lexus to call me. Just hope they dont try to blame it on a stonechip...

Got into my car thismorning and windscreen ect was frosted up. So I started up engine turned on heater and rear/front screen dimist. After about 2 mins I heard a "POP" sound come from windscreen and a small crack about 4 inches appeared near where the alarm/headlight sensors are in my Front screen. I got out to examine the crack and noticed that the heated screen element had blown (it was glowing red at each end of the break). Anyway I got back in car and drove to work but on my way the crack has grown right across my screen. My car is only 12 weeks old. Anyone else had this problem?

I know someone that has fitted this system in an Audi A4. Also he has a wireless network fiited to it. This allows him to park outside his house and download MP3's via his home broadband connection. Also if your pushed for space in your glovebox, you can put the box in the boot and use a Bluetooth mouse along with the touch screen. -

Nice... What date is it being done? Also will you be flying back from City airport or Stanstead? City Airport is very close to TDi. You never know I may be able to gove you lift to airport. :D

Ive interested in a mp3 player for my IS200. Is the dension easy to install? Also does it just plug into to back of my existing Hifi or do I need to change the whole thing?

Im taking delivery of a new IS200 in a couple of weeks and wondering if I need to run the engine in? Do I take it easy for a certain amount of miles or is it ok to "floor it" from new? After testdriving the IS200 I will find it difficult not to put my foot down to give it a good test ect.
