  1. Space Shuttle landed this morning🙂. Quite fancy the Land Rover Defender next.
  2. I think my last two sets have taken nearly 2 weeks to arrive from just across the Channel in the Netherlands.
  3. Direct from Lego online. The previous code number is discontinued but the new number (92176) is still available.
  4. Bit odd that. Definitely not one to retire as it’s awesome although a bid fiddly at times. The one I recently bought was 92176. Maybe 21309 has something wrong with a part.🤔
  5. Impressive stuff you’ve got there. The M-Falcon is epic. Yes, that’s the space shuttle set. Released tomorrow. I know what you mean about it being an addictive hobby.
  6. Only got into Lego in January. Started off with cargo train, then Lunar Lander, Saturn V and Haunted House. I’ll be ordering the Space Shuttle this Thursday🙂. Found out at Christmas that the two Senior NHS Consultants that my wife works with are into Lego plus an RAF officer who lives a few houses away. I though if it’s good enough for them it’s good enough for me. The boy cat likes cargo train whilst the girl cat just wonders what can be so interesting in a train. 7. Amazing spot. I hadn’t even realised that an antenna off my array had gone astray. It certainly has been in the car’s boot but hadn’t realised one of the pieces had worked loose and come off. Grub screw now tightened.
  8. I don’t keep anything in the boot bar a rain jacket but yesterday was the first time I lowered both rear seats and removed the tonneau cover (a bit of a pain) in order to bring a new bike back home. After returning the seats back to their upright position this was revealed. It’s definitely not from off the bike so it must be from the car. It’s a thin metal, chromed bar about 2’ long and slightly thicker than a bicycle spoke. One end has a plastic end cap. Anyone any ideas what it is and where it has come from?
  9. My last 3 factory built Lexus cars were bought from David (Breckon) at Lexus Teesside as he’s a nice guy to deal with but Tom and Chris are both great guys too. Starting to think I’ll go electric next time though. So much choice: Mustang Mach-E, Ioniq 5 (favourite), Kia EV6, Polestar 2, Tesla 3 et al but I think I’ll miss the solidity and reliability of Lexus.
  10. Love the combo as I’m a big fan of light interiors. Lexus Teesside is my local and I’ve bought 6 new cars from them. Who did you end up dealing with? Tom, Chris or David?
  11. Sorry to hear that. That really sucks. Lexus Link shows where your vehicle is parked up and where / when it’s driven. Do you have that connected?
  12. Thankfully the ES has now been sold. Someone will have a mint deep blue Takumi with low miles and benefitting with Lexus dash cam and Gen 3 ceramic coating.
  13. I didn’t know they should blank out (makes complete sense though) but I’ve followed lots of cars where you can clearly see the camera view in the car in front. Bad enough in daylight, positively distracting at night. I accept your system is much cheaper (and probably equally as good) but I like my Lexus Centre to fit their approved dash cam so I know there’ll be no issue if it fails plus a Lexus technician fits it and I get a 3 year warranty rather than 1 or 2 years. But it’s good to have lots of different cameras to choose from and lots of options to have them fitted. All is good.🙂
  14. Mine were installed by Lexus Teesside. The supplied cameras are a bit more pricey but they are very neat and don’t have, to me, an annoying and distracting screen showing the image ahead. Why do you need that? I can see the live image on my phone if I need to make a camera adjustment but because it fits flush to the screen you probably won’t have to adjust the view as it’ll be set up by Lexus. Worth checking what the warranty is as it’s certainly 3 years if fitted at the PDI stage but I don’t know about retrofitted.
  15. I find the process interesting as you can see the progress of your car travelling from Japan to the UK and all the places it passes. For me, at least, it’s part of the experience from order, build, ship, delivery plus it helps to pass 4 weeks. I’ve done this for my last 6 factory order Lexus plus 2 Toyotas. I guess it’s not for everyone but I enjoy tracking the ship and seeing the message ‘armed guards on board’ as it approaches Somalia and the Gulf of Aden.
  16. Oooh, I stand corrected. It’s showing hundreds of ships now between India and Africa.
  17. Don’t forget, it’s the MarineTraffic app you need (costs about £5) rather than the free other shipping apps. Literally taken just now is a screenshot from both MarineTraffic and Ship Finder of the Red Sea and Suez. Your car will travel this way. The difference between the 2 apps is clear. MarineTraffic will still have a couple or so areas where there is no coverage due to the ships distance from land but generally you can follow it from Japan back to Bristol. The largest gap is when travelling between India and Africa.
  18. I’ve owned 6 Lexus including an NX Premier which was very nice with comfortable seats but a test drive in an NX F Sport can me crippling back ache after 30 minutes. The lumbar adjustment (for me) is poor and I found my lower back wasn’t supported properly. I didn’t have this issue in the NX Premier. I’ve driven and owned other F Sport models such as the GS and RX without seat issue. Always worth an extended test drive to check seat comfort. The NX F Sport though does look very, very good over other trim levels.
  19. Hi Phil. Is there a way to easily see what firmware is current for a particular model? I’m sure mine is probably not current but I’d like to find out. My Centre aren’t much help. Thanks Peter
  20. My immaculate and very low mileage ES Takumi is still for sale at Lexus Teesside. I’m surprised no one has bought it as I left it there on the 14 November when I picked up the RX. Looks very sad.
  21. The paid subscription is expensive so I’ll stick with just using my iPhone.
  22. I have AVS in my 450h (not an F Sport) and it does make a difference if you’re pushing on. I have set my custom setting to engine and HVAC to normal and suspension to sport.
  23. For those of you with an MY20 RX F Sport or Takumi what do you think of the BladeScan headlights? I personally think they are hopeless and the headlights in my previous ES Takumi with adaptive lights were better. So hopeless in fact that I’ve turned off the adaptive bit and now just run them like a normal light - flick forward for high beams and back for dipped. I get more light out of the headlights this way. I think my two biggest criticisms are the lights are not very bright and they don’t travel very far up the road on high beam. The may be ok if you live in a city but I’m in fairly rural North Yorkshire and many of the roads are fast, unlit roads were good lights are important. However, the adaptive headlights on my wife’s Mazda CX-30 are epic and turn night to day.
