  1. The LS430 has this facility. There is a switch for the mirrors with 3 positions. In/Out/Auto and it is useful. Be interesting to see if it will be on the new RX300, as these things usually filter down.
  2. Having reviewed the Lexus Approved Used Car Locator, there are a few cars beteen £12000 and £13000. If you can stretch your budget sightly, a Lexus dealer will give you a great warranty and a high level of preparation. Jenners who posts here regularly also has a car you may wish to consider.
  3. The dark green on Mk1 GS is called Regent Green if my memory serves me correctly.
  4. This spoiler appeared in Sept/Oct 2001 on IS200 Sport and IS300 at the same time as Curtain Side Airbags, Brake Assist, piping on seats etc, etc
  5. Can you refine exactly what you want in terms of mileage and budget and I can offer more detailed advice
  6. Are you sure it is there, I can't see it!
  7. Question 3/ Apparently there are three of these Asparagus, Rhubarb and Horseradish
  8. Question no9 Is it a banana? Doh just read the "banana fritter"
  9. Hi Zee, I'll have a look at the US site and mention it to the Lexus team here. Next you'll be recommending drive through banks, and the "off duty" golfer look!!! I trust you are enjoying yourself in the States. Are you somewhere where winter exists or is it just a long sleeved shirt in the evening. The range of climates is amazing, in just one country.
  10. I will let them know this and get it amended. Please pm me if you spot any other errors, and I will get them fixed.
  11. As of today the main Lexus website LEXUS has changed to a new design. More in keeping with the European site. All the dealer sites have changed at the same time. I like it, but then you could accuse me of being biased. What do you think?
  12. I'd be amazed if a leasing company would be worried about parking sensors being fitted, particularly if you went for the Lexus ones. What they don't like are dents, scratches and other forms of damage.
  13. Of course now a number of you are driving around in a replica of a TV car. That man of the moment Alan Partridge and his IS200. "Back of the net" !!! :hohoho:
  14. Personally I prefer the slightly less bassy noise from the newer cars, but having said that I unfortunately was blessed with ears that struggle to tell the difference between ordinary and expensive systems, although I would like to be able to hear conversations in later life so can't ever see myself fitting bass tubes etc! No,no,no I'm starting to sound like my father.
  15. Leave it on, otherwise you will effectively only have three speeds, which will ruin your fuel consumption, and stop progress being so smooth
  16. Or as per the link above, if you prefer We have done a number where we have cut the bumper and fitted the headlamp washers, which looks good, so if you go for it this is an option and saves fitting blanking plugs. I would re approach Bristol and quote the part numbers Chris has kindly supplied and you shouldn't have a problem. I'm sure Chris or I would be delighted to help although distance may be a problem. My other branch in Oxford could help you. Speak to Craig on 01865 865111, if you don't have any joy at Bristol.
  17. The styling kit is available in individual parts as normal Lexus Accessories, in fact it is in the Accessory brochure. See link for pricing. Good time to go gold to get a decent saving as well! Styling Kit
  18. Never heard of this apart from being damaged on potholes or kerbstones. Have you had your tyres replaced before? Could have been damaged by someone with the wrong equipment, but this is only a guess. The other option is "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" - If someone is racing your car around without your knowledge!
  19. The switchable function is great, and it's ability to lower at speed, and firm up under load would definently get my vote for the Air set up
  20. Our experience of LPG conversions is not good, although it does give my technicians practise in rebuilding engines!! From memory, and I am not a technician, LPG conversions tend to burn the valves or valve seats. Lexus advise against LPG, and also I have seen one or two absolutely horrendous installations. My advise honestly is to buy a more economical car or leave "as is". Have seen some good LPG conversions on Land Rover products, but I don't believe anyone has developed a system for Lexus (hence the bodges I have seen). Hope this helps.
  21. In the U.K everybody want's luxury cars to be fully equipped, particularly when they are being sold second hand. The lower spec car is far harder to sell (now available special order only)
  22. I personally wouldn't recommend it!
  23. True, we can send snotty E-Mails, but he can respond on TV/National Press and Magazines, which given his peculiar popularity would be heard by millions. Better methinks to let him move onto his next victim!!!
  24. Personally, I think the more anyone rises to the bait, the more it will run and run. Like all "headline news" it will have a short shelf life. I would recommend ignoring it and it will have disappeared before you know it. Also I don't think the IS200 works in Partridge anywhere near as well as the Rover Vitesse, which like Alan was out of touch with the real world and I don't think it will have a detrimental effect(like his blazer with embroidered crest). Rise above the mud slinging, as without a reaction it is fairly pointless, and then we can all get back to the reality that we are driving a car that those in the know rate as COOL!!!
