  1. hi kinda stuck loading those picture up... but there's easily find on google image search just type in is200 sat nav and u will see couple old post picture on the satnav mod. the dash unit power came from previous nokia hand free kit hardness to power up the dash motor... not sure if its the same power wiring cable connected to the stereo. It wasn't auto flip up when the ignition on/off as i wasn't going to use the satnav every time i get in the car. a simple push open close will do.... as u owned a tomtom... basicly just press hold lil bit longer for it to on/off just like what you do with the tomtom nav. it's much wiser to use a cheaper gadget at first for testing. when you get the hang of what you going to do then move to next stage like what i do from reverse lcd to cheaper brand satnav. well, i still have the reverse lcd screen as i could stick to the head rest for another extended display as long i didn't break anything... then again too much wiring to do :megaangry: (label every single wire connection for safety issue) tell the truth i'm no rocket scientist as i'm zero knowledge as you are m8.. 90% from internet search and 10% "don't give up" lol...... i'm using an 12v compact battery jumpstarter to power up the unit indoor on testing... connection clip hardness rather then fix dead as for easily removal on the dash unit. i'm shock to see a 10 years old mint condition dash (faulty or non faulty unit) still fetch almost £200. talking about hard to find parts... probably because it can be use on mod that's y it cost
  2. try adjust the foot clutch pedal see if any help
  3. the flip up dash unit cost almost £100 in lexus america ex shipping and you're lucky if you can find one who sell it in good condition in the UK
  4. it's a 5inch version just cut it to fit the 7inch lcd screen. and i bought Item number: 180941767651 on e**y just open up the case and transfer it to the dash unit .. kinda like school project assignment and then done few wiring adjustment. just need to put more time to tidy up to make it look more neat look that's all. well, i can see there's a 7inch dash unit up for sell Item number: 170902434240 perfect fit rather doing all the cutting and sanding since i'm not in hurry to sell my is200 yet as it's running tip top condition. i guess there still many things to discover. the screen might came in handy keeping the anyone quiet on long journey (especially kids) who's know you might need it one day. Hate buying expensive gadget and u not getting much back or dead after couple months. will post picture later if i have the time will quote a new post
  5. Hi Guys I been doing the dash unit almost few months now due busy at work. as doing few test already mostly using cheap part bought from e**y. Bought the dash unit under £50 many months ago after many searching. started by using the reverse 7inch lcd screen £40. instead of using the reverse cam i hook it up with ipod to play music video as i did the stereo relay mod (thanks LOC forum). Not bad really as i can play music video on screen and the music to the origin speakers amp(save me from buying a GROM unit) then i got bored as i wanted a touch screen. so again got this window ce 7inch with satnav (igo8) for under £50. start play with it. very straight fwd as the power from the dash motor unit (little help from a mod 12v usb charger) to power the 7inch unit. extend the the power switch ON wire to the "open close" dash unit. As if (my opinion) connect direct to the stereo unit it might weaken the engine start. so, balance or separate the power usage. the only issue i'm having here now is that the thick dash unit is blocking the sat nav signal. unless it's "uncovered". it doesn't have any plug for extension signal cable (that part i need to do more google search.... (anyone is welcome to share this issue i have) need few soldering to extend the wiring and fixing for extend the bluetooth hand free (save another ££ on hand free kit). actually the dash unit is a pretty nice piece of gadget you can do many mod with it. make a extended display from a double din stereo, reverse display, sat nav , turbo meter mod... and many more As some guys here did say "easy to store it with a push button" :hocus-pokus: hope i didn't offends any guys here as well the LOC site...

  17. hi depend what the mileage your car has done I've changed my engine oil last month on my 160k engine is200 sport. I've use Mobil 1 oil mix with "Lucas" engine oil with help at friend garage... been running real smooth with no problem. Some say use semi and some use fully synthetic for high millage engine (like mine ) not entirely sure and if u search around you'll get your answer. good luck
  18. Finally, success done the conversion rear fog light on weekends. Does anyone who did this conversion think the red fog light is brighter than the rear brake light itself? need to get opinion/solution from all guys here before i get into big trouble thanks
  19. back from he garage where i instal the clucth kits recently. what causing the smoke is from the clucth oil which over fill. he just say it will eventually burn away the excess oil.not to worries. is he pulling my leg or i shud drain he clucth oil?
  20. good to know which garage dealer anyones prefer to shop for tyres?
  21. same happen to my is200 sport. what i do was peel the boot rubber seal n turn 360 degree and refit and rubber seal (just slot in the gap) and all sorted for now as the previous top part wasn't good anymore and water will get it in especially heavy rain this few days unless u wanna replace it a good one from ebay breakers. it's a good idea to have a check what Captain Lexus post. :hocus-pokus:
  22. so true... cheap tyres won't stick to the ground on any sudden stop above 50ish (i've been there) just take it easy on the pedal to be safe on any condition
