Tristan , with (obviously) Red IS200 Single , by the choice of all the girls I know, :P 24yrs old , Self Employed-ish in Family Business selling Motorhomes On the road to personalising my IS , Interests include hapless females , Rallying , Reading , Classic Cars and Auto Forums , Other cars in the family include Lancia 037 Rallye , FIAT 131 Abarth , Renault Alpine A110, 2xFord Escort Mk 1's , Rav 4 , M*rc E-Class Previous cars include Xsara VTS , Citoen ZX , VW Jetta and other undesirables... All Lexus models are still fairly rare here in Ireland , compared to other premium brands , Thats why I've mine B) :winky:

Do they affect the comfort level at all ?

Manifold heat shield ? Mine jingles a bit when cold.

Factory Fuel cutoff ? Whassat?

Franmac is running a Peco Big Bore on his IS , very little louder than standard , and feels marginally more responsive . I can't comment on price however..

I notice the innocent/whistling smilie ( ) getting a lot of use! I've been on the Autobahn a fair bit , but only in Campervans/Motorhomes (Don't laugh, we sell them....) and agree with all you say . Also 90mph is very fast ,and fun in a kind of dirty way in a 6.5 metre long , 10 feet high Motorhome...... My baby should be minus precats(whenever I finish the bloody manifold!) and plus Unichip and freer backbox by then anyway. B) Heres to hitting the limiter in 6th! :o

I'll be going to the Nordschleife/Nurburgring in the new Year with a group of Enthusiasts from an Irish Site. Some of the guys have pretty potent machinery , and are frothing at the mouth at the idea of letting rip on the Autobahn!! I'm wondering will my honour prevail? ! What's the true top speed of a Standard IS on 215/45 by 17s ?

So the lamps will work without the surround then ? I probably won't stick 'em back , only in a couple of spots , I wouldnt be worried about fogging up for only a week.

I'm getting my Headlamp Surrounds Dark Chromed with a firm over here , to match my rear lamps , Just wondering if you can take out the chrome surround and leave the lamps functioning? The process will take about a week , the guy who does it is very busy. I don't wanna be without my baby that long. Do the surronds actually support or mount anything? Can they even be removed from the lamp

SAI stands for Swivel Axis Inclination , same as KPI which means King Pin Inclination , AFAIK its best described as the angle formed between the vertical axis and a line drawn between the upper and lower balljoints of the wishbones , to the ground .

I'm getting wind noise in the drivers door , it used be only at about 80mph , now I after a couple of weeks its audible at 60 . I wipe the door rubbers with trim shine regularly , and I can't see how to adjust in the door latch . The car is an undamaged '02. Suggestions , anyone ?

Cruise can be fitted to any car , its reccomended only on cars with a decent bit of torque. I got 4 systems (1 for me) from Conrad-Andersen, they arein the UK, 0121 247 0619 , if you're interested. the price was right.

Have you seen the Nemesis Kit for the IS? Hubba , Hubba!! Only problem is I can't seem to access their Website , who's a dealer for them?

Just wondering if anyone knows what wire to tap into for my aftermarket cruise control , it needs to tap into the signal from G'box sender to Speedo (Manual G'Box) , the supplier says some cars have this signal on Pin No.1 of a Din standard stereo. Any of you got any ideas?

How do you take out the Stereo on a 2002 IS? I'm changing the Aerial and fitting Cruise Control so i need access in there!
