  1. I do usually! I value my quarter panels and my license! But you know when you try and pull away while turning , especially after coming off a car wash , and as you pull out some nutter comes flying towards you? I've had some anxious moments sitting going nowhere fast as the TRC cut power..... I must give TDI a shout so...
  2. What are the options for an LSD for the IS ? as in what makes are there , and are there many/any options for the percentage lock, the ratio etc? and of course the major question 'ow much? I'm fed up of spinning wheels when leaving petrol stations.....
  3. Sorry for postiing in the wrong place , Colin :duh: What do u guys think of geting a set reprofiled?
  4. Did a quick search onsite and found nothing...are there uprated Cams for the Nat. Aspirated IS 200 ? If so , all the usual Q.s ......where , how much , what power increases etc. I know Demon Tweeks can reprofile shafts , anyone ever try this?
  5. Okey dokey , just wondering as some of the "Grey Imports" coming in here have b-r-uuu-t-aal bad lighting!
  6. Are the JDM ones legal for use on this side of the world? And can they be got in any colour other than black , I wonder?
  7. He's a good bloke by all accounts , always helpful to me when I asked him anything.
  8. The magic question , "How much ?"
  9. You notice any difference mate? In the handling I mean
  10. Did u check the tyre pressures mate? Sounds like they're all underinflated to cause wear on the shoulders and not in the middle....BTW overinflation causes the opposite to occur. Welcome to the LOC too.......1 thing , Go GOLD B)
  11. Well done mate , how much of a job for the clusters? I'd be afraid to tackle the radio myself....
  12. Slightly off topic here ,but somr time ago I was trying to sort a budget version of these with Geoffers , using E-L lighting (look up Coolight.com for more info on it_ and even using the brightest wire available , the results were still disappointing.....the E-L DDE's were only visible in very dark conditions , and would have been illegal for road use IMO..... Ergo , it seems the Umnitza types are the way to go.
  13. BTW this is for a enthusiasts site I help run in Ireland.
  14. Guys, I've joined up with paypal but there doesn't seem to be any instructions on how you can easily add the old donate button to a site. I know we've done it here with this site so any help would be cool. Cheers T
  15. Eibachs are fairly cheap....... :winky: :winky:
  16. @Maz : I got them done with a Specialist company in Co. Kilkenny , @Dunkie : I used the + and - of the park light wires (BTW White is the earth/negative)
  17. I know its been said/typed before , but after a 300 mile drive on all sorts of roads from cratered Irish Backroads to dual carriageways , all I can say is ""WOW"" . Better handling , better looks , and get this , more comfortable!! I don't understand it either....
  18. Thing is , You look at the car and not that much really stands out , it just looks like it should've when it left the factory IMHO , and then I wonder where did all the money I've spent go!! :o :o :P :P Sorry for going
  19. I did it to mine , using a heat gun , not the simplest job I've ever done ........I got mine dark chromed and fitted custom DDE's , and removed the orange bit , then to finish , fitted TOMS eyelids , 1000% improvement in appearance. BTW I got the fogs dark chromed too , and ot sets off the other lamps nicely. The fogs are easier to pull apart .
  20. Cheers guys , I'm in the Garage trade , and have a 2 post lift so that obviously helped ..... The car is going to a show / cruise 100 miles away on Saturday nite so that'll bed in the springs nicely
  21. To any one handy with the spanners and considering fitting lowering springs , Just Do It!! Piece of p1ss , relatively speaking, I started at 10.00pm and was finished at 12.30-01.00 ish. Tired but happy!! Now :winky: to get the 4 wheel alignment checked......
  22. I always like to open thema bit then retighten with the wheelbrace after an airgun, on all cars/vans. A universal crossbrace is well worth having in any car, at least you can stand on it and pull on it at the same time
  23. Saab do one as well , saw one on a 2002 9-5 today...
