Hi Nick yes i bought the car from Tunbridge Wells Lexus Dealer I asked the seller if it had been in any accidents and he said No I never noticed the gap near boot and bumper I took it for a oil change to lexus Hull and that was when the Gent told me, he looked it up on the Computer and it had had a replacement bumper fitted. Due to the slight bow in the crash pad it had not been fitted correctly hence the gap when i asked if they could do anything he said Body shop will have to have a look. So as i said i took it to my local body shop in Thorne and he had it done within the hour as been ok ever since.

Had Exactly the same problem when i purchased my Gs450 it was noted to me by the dealer when had first Service. I took it to my local Body Shop the took bumper of and found the (crash pad i think thats what he called it) had a bow in it not allowing the bumper clips to align with it. He had it done within an hour he charged me £50 been ok since

Hi all I am in the process of getting Apple Car Play fitted to my 2018 GS 450h but have a few concerns I have seen the Carlinkit system here for around £350 and the info on the site doesnt look too bad however I like to have Nav on one side (the largest part) and Range ,Time and MPG on the other, does the carlink allow this as all the photos shows either Full screen Nav or Full screen Icons. I have looked at the beatsonic but its around £900 a bit out of my range, maybe because there are'nt too many GS s here I have looked on line at the images but i could'nt get a definitive conclusion from the display. I do on occasions Have full map on screen and use the small dial in Dash but prefer the main screen. I do also have the Quick Dial window up as well so i dont want to lose the ability to have no display on the Main screen. I would be obliged if anyone could enlighten me on this topic Regards

Hi all While sat in car awaiting my daughter i was messing with the display I found a email section but have never seen a email come in while I have had the car. I do get SMS sometimes as I have set up the Online Option ( which by the way is Ok for The What Where Screen in Navigation) but the screen does say it can recieve Emails but it does not. As anyone tried this or is the option not set for UK its not a deal breaker but I just wondered if it could be Implimented car is 2018 Gs450h Premier thanks Robert

Thanks for that John it was a lady that answered she said they were awaiting the parts. i have sinced rang again and they confirmed what you said and will send me an invitation to come in to have it done. I have not had a letter of recall as yet as i said i got the info off the DVLA MOT Site to check my MOT date thats where i found the Recall info nothing specific Just that there is a recall Notice. Robert

Hi Richard Yes i have same well not the letter but was checking on DVLA for my mot date and there it was "There is a recall for this vehicle contact your Dealer" well i rang Lexus sheffield and they said it was for a Fuel pipe as my car needs servicing in Feburary said leave it till then its not critical I did say well why is it on if its not critical. The answer was a few Vent pipes have perished so have to be replaced so ithink i may take it in dont like the idea of fuel Vapour leak. Robert

Hazel If you have just bought the car from a dealer get him to put it right he may have serviced it and changed that cabin filter without putting into the Recirc Mode to change the filter(if not the flimsy arm on that lever breaks) Its a few years ago but it cost 25 for the Lever and shaft and 50 for fitting took 30 mins Robert

Contact Lexus there is a repair kit for this I had this happen on my old Gs300 the glove box needs to come out, I did document it in a post a few years ago 2012 or so , The problem it causes is that you have no control over Recirc and fresh it mostly drops the flap which puts it in Recirc Sometimes if you accelerate sharp the flap pivots and makes a Slapping sound and goes to Fresh intake then drops back to recirc

Umar I am not saying that it is this that as happened, but there is a procedure for removing our batteries To remove battery you must remove negative first then positive last this is where it can blow that fuse and if the radio is on can blow that, Install Positive first Negative Last I have doubt that its the wrong battery 12v is 12volt i may be wrong as i am in my 70s i do get things wrong now and then
