  1. I thought gearboxes from end 2002 don't have this problem.
  2. And with a short shifter fitted it gets even louder (and harder). This is cool. I like that clunk
  3. I think every Toyota blues a bit when shifting down a gear in high revs. Not like beemers but you can see it when hunting behind them.
  4. If so, please count me in for the armrest (dep on price). Is it a OEM armrest?
  5. 1989 Opel Kadett C 1.2s (good car) 1990 Opel Kadett C 2.0 GTE/WEBER (very cool car, The AntiGTI) 1990 Ford Granada 2.0 Kombi (good but rusty car) 1992 Ford Granada 2.8 Ghia (very good but rusty car) 1994 Opel Vectra A 2000 16V (cool, fast, reliable, rusty, none-expensive car) 1997 Mitsubishi Sigma 3.0V6 StationWagon (VERY expensive, but cool, unique car) 2002 Mitsubishi Galant 2.5V6 StationWagon (This car drove me sick and my banc-account into .................) 2003 Lexus IS200 Sport (cool, best, worth the money, reliable, fast car ever) 1992 1978 BMW 525A (chamonix, Alpina) (In my garage till now, nice one, but accident)
  6. Are they the same on all IS-Models and years?
  7. Can't belive that it is so difficult for Lexus to inform all dealers about the extended warranty on the radio. It was a long way to get USA, GB, Germany and France to change a faulty unit within a warranty of 60 month. But now Austria is not willing to change a radio if the car has past the three years of its warranty. I'm disappointed about it. Austria: LINK So tell me, where a Lexus dealer can get all the information about this extended warranty? Telefonnumbers, eMail-addresses, whatever (head office worldwide Lexus). Lexus Autria will be the next............ and its not a little dealer over there, its the main importeur and head office of lexus cars in Austria (Frey). And they don't want to change the radio-unit. Andi
  8. I will do next year (about 125000km then). Don't care. If the engine crashes I will buy a new one. Perhaps sell the S/C-Kit to be able to pay for it :) BTW this is why I opened this thread. But now I know it will be fine. I will drive my little Lex forever I think
  9. Wow, this news is a must for Euro-LOC
  10. Sorry, but you will be bored. I found the thread: LINK
  11. We discussed this a while ago. Do a search. You won't get bored :)
  12. Connect it, turn ON and upside down, shake and bump it a little bit. This is how mine came free several times
  13. Short run and wet weather conditions can cause this. Its normal. Just hold the key till it runs. Think its to vent the cylinders and get the condens out of it. Did I say this right? :D
  14. @Mat For a word. Will it look great? Will a today IS-Owner see it as a must to go for the new IS? What do you think?
  15. Maz said that the Greddy universal A-pillar pod will fit well. He has it. But its quite expensive. So not sure. Even about the gauges. I would go for a double universal A pod and EGT and Oil-Temp gauge. Think a boost/pressure gauge won't say anything on a S/C. But perhaps we need more input about this.
  16. I will/would go for the A pillar. Does a boost gauge for a S/C make sense? What will it show? Think its very low pressure and it will lift the needle not very much. I like a EGT and Oil-Temp. But dont know which manufacturer. Like the new DEFI BF very much. But can't afford them.
  17. I think, the new IS will look similar to this: But also have a look on this photoshop (but this won't be it, not conservativ enough ;) ): I would buy this You can see its an IS.
  18. So, after a few weeks.. what do you say now. Do you like it? Never will go back for OEM? What about the fun factor? Or will it decrease driving comfort? How does the car drive if fully loaded with passengers?
  19. Mobile 1 5W-30 --> UK (because of the weather :) ) 5W-40 0W-40 Study
  20. Have a look for the K&N-Filters. They are very good. Don't save money on your filter. It's a important thingi. Stay away from foam filters like AirinixII. Not as bad but a amount of dust goes thru (much more as with K&N). If you are not sure at all, please fit a new OEM-filter.
  21. Give your old filter a try. Perhaps do a ecu reset and drive for a while.
  22. What dó you think about this items? LINK and LINK Combo: LINK Combo DEFI: LINK
