What have you done with the old alloys - are you selling them?
By the way, I have seen a lot of IS's on here, and I have to say yours looks 'kin gorgeous mate! Was the paint enhancement by Supaguard? I remember mine had that one when I bought mine - worth it isn't it!
-
AWW, thanks Phonedrome - whilst I was in bed you were thinking of me ;-) !
0-60 is faster than an IS300 great!
-
I'm sure this has been said before, what is the 0-60 on a s/c is200?
I'm really thinking about getting one rather than buying a new IS200 later this year.
Do you have to change anything else along with the s/c - i.e. brake upgrade / air intake etc?
Anybody recommend a garage in the NorthWest to fit one? Or anybody want to earn some cash to do it for me?
Thanks....

Sounds like their gonna be great - performance is much better.
That's more like it!

Andy - correct me if I am wrong but the procedure you have described disables the internal alarm sensors if you have a dog / kids etc and want to lock the car without setting off the internal alarm!
Or am I wrong?

Well spotted mate!
We should have a bet to see how long it stays on there!
I reckon 2 weeks, finishing on Thursday 7th July!

if you have changed the batteries and they still do not work i know the receiver units for the remotes can go faulty. it is fitted between the rear speakers under the trim and cost around £200 fitted from lexus!!
Well that's news to me, I thought that was the high level brake light!
Aren't the sensors build into the dome light behind the sunroof???
Anyway, wherever they are I doubt it's them - have you tried your workshop key - the one without the boot unlock button on it to see if that works?
-
What about LSD Colin? Maybe the way to test if it's a sport is to test the LSD!
-
Nope mate there is a metal plate that sits behind the seat. Unless you can roll your bed and squeeze it thru the ski hatch!
-
Plugs, aircon filter, oil filter, air filter, change oil, top up coolant and they think they change the brake fluid.
If you can do it then go for it - depends on whether you want your book stamped for resale values etc.

Still looks like a Mazda 6 to me, shame really. None the less nice spec on it - what's the 0-60 on the IS350??
-
Not sure what you mean by open up on the actual events mate!
Maybe I'll get a second opinion on the alignment elsewhere!
Thanks for your help.

Don't worry about the miles it's all relative as long as it's got FSH.
Make sure it's got decent tread on the tyres - you don't want to be forking out over £400 on your new baby!

I changed my Battery yesterday for £2.50 from a jewellers. It's dead easy to replace, just pop the key off your keyfop unscrew the small phillips screw with an electricians screwdriver and then open the cover, inside you will see a smaller casing this pops out by pushing the buttons upwards. then unscrew the 2 tiny screws with an electricians screwdriver again and open the cover. You will then see the Battery which is like a round watch Battery and it just pops out! Replace and follow the reverse of the above to refit. Just remember that the positive on the Battery goes face up.
Don't let the dealer do it they charge about £10 !!

Any of you guys know how much a bush costs to be replaced - been told by a garage that one is no good and they couldn't adjust the read alignment because of it.
TA!

When I first had my IS200 it had 6k on the clock and the garage advised me to go up in incriments of +1k to get the sequencing back, e.g. I had it serviced at 17k, 28k, 39k and then 40k onwards.
I've just had my 60k service, provided my own spark plugs - iridium denso ik20 off eBay from the us for £35, supplied my own air filter k&n - £40 and fitted my own aircon filter. I paid £340 with LOC discount. I didn't supply my own oil - but I probably will next time as they charged my £35
If you do all of the above you should expect to pay £300-£350 for the service - not bad eh!
Oh, you can fit the spark plugs if you want and that will drop the cost of the service by 1 hours labour. I chose to have them fitted by the dealer.
Just reading back your thead, to be honest mate if it was me I would have a minor service as your car is out of warranty the dealer won't be bothered and probably won't stamp the book and get the 60k service next year - as your car has only done 45k the plugs will be ok (good for 60k at the least)!
Good luck!

Cheers Fluff - guessed this after and fitted them last night!
Well chuffed now as they only come on when in reverse.

The lexus ones have got thicker rim protectors, I will defo recommende them - I wont buy the standard ones anymore!

Forget what I said before the colours were wrong, they are:-
Blue & red - live ??
Black & white - neutral ??

Thanks Phil !!

Hi All,
Just fitted reversing sensors and was wondering which cable off the reversing bulb is live (there are 2 cables one is black & red and the other I think is yellow).
My reversing sensors have a cig lighter adapter which I want to cut and connect to the reversing positive, the power is 4.5v on the sensors - is this the same as the reversing bulb?
Thanks all!

I've just come back from Cyprus and tbh I saw a lot of Lexus IS200's around Nicosia and not Altezza's as there were there last year! I also drove past the Lexus dealership - looked the same as a UK dealer as well.

Just buy a white lacoste polo shirt (has to be the vintage style - did you see how big the croc was!!) and iron on a caliper sticker on the left arm!!!!
Seriously though, I doubt you can buy them - might be worth emailing Lacoste direct.
