Are calipers on different places on the IS? - McDaddys's are on the left and mine are on the right on mine.
-
Its measured where the tyre bead sits on the rim AFAIK as that is more of a 'controlled' dimension
OK thanks, interesting though!
-
Why are the alloys stated as 17" when they measure at least 18 1/2 "?
If it's me being daft then I'll accept it and go and hide somewhere!!!
Where is the measurement from if it's 17" is it inside the rim?

Thanks all! Special thanks to Colin, I didn't realise the plugs needed changing every 30k!!!
-
Got my IS serviced on a 60k yesterday, the car doensn't feel any different. I want to check that the plugs were changed.
If I take the air intake off can I remove the covers on the plugs and will I be able to tell if they're new?
Cheers all!

Think you should have blurred your number plate out mate!
-
Thanks for all your help guys - it was a Lexus dealer who quoted me.
Don't really want to say which dealer it was but it was near the Mersey Tunnel....
-
That's what I thought mate - I'll order them off you later this week ok! Any link or should I just go to your www?

Is £136 a lot to replace rear pads? 75% worn
Can I supply them cheaper and are they easy to fit?
TA!
(Sorry just noticed the topic description should say "Rear" duh!)

Sounds like the sort of thing you could buy from Liverpool market!!!

I've got the K&N standard filter which seems to do it's job but I want a bit more - what's the best induction kit for the IS200 then?
Thx!!!!
-
Hope you get the problem sorted Scarface!
Does anybody know if this kit will fit an IS200 as well and has anybody any instructions on fitting it as I'm going to get one for the bhp gain it gives!
I've tried a search but it brings up everything and can't find anything specific!
Cheers!

That's why I posted the pics to show everybody!!

Wrexham is famous again!!! I remember the speed vans on the A483 bypass with no pre-warning - right B******S! Anyway, haha to them I bet Clarkson has something to say about his old mate Richard Brunstrom !
-
Sorry to hear that parthiban - might be worth a visit back to the garage you bought them from? Especially if you paid more as the Lexus ones are £5-£10 more expensive.
To help answer other questions, my IS had Bridgestone Potenza's on from new and I swapped them to Dunlop's based on the recommendations (and price) from LOC.
-
Perhaps I am wrong then Scorps, Thought the IS came out on a T plate!
You learn something new everyday - that makes the current IS shape well old then!
-
Hi Congrats on getting the car of your dreams
Picking my brand new IS200 SE with aero pack & sports grill sat morning changing from a focusST170.
Can't Wait :D
Hi Hammers,
It will be interesting to see what you think of the IS compared to the Focus St - in terms of performance & spec etc!
Enjoy the car mate!

Am I right in saying that's a Tezza? It's on a S plate?

Thanks guys,
Well the warranty run out at 60k (3 years old in May) so I don't think there's anything else under the bonnet that's covered for 5 years!

Hi All,
My 60k service is due and I'm currently on 60700 and will probably hit 61k next week.
I can't book it in until the end of the month as I'm busy with work etc.
Is this risky going over by 1k or will it be ok? The warranty has run out so there aren't any problems on that side anyway.
Any advice much appreciated!
-
They do look slightly different tbh, and they seem to stick to the road better. I'll try and post some pics later!

Got 2 Lexus SP9000's fitted today and they have a larger lip rim protector than the standard SP9000's. If anybody else is after them I purchased them from johnsons tyres in Wrexham @ £108 each.

I'm sorry but this is becoming a JOKE!
Change up under 3k revs, don't speed! You drive a petrol 24v twin cam, 6 pot and it sounds good when revved (and it cost you a lot of money)
- So enjoy it don't drive it like your Nan!
