And about time! Looks good though!

Thanks guys.
Well I'm gonna try these on the front and see what happens.
Will let you know in a couple of months when they're ready to be changed again !!!!!!AAHHH!!!

Ordered 2 SP9000 Lexus type tyres for my IS200 @ £109 each incl. fitting.
Anybody had any experience on the Lexus type as I've been running standard sp9000's. The garage advised me to get these as they're harder wearing and less prone to feathering.
Cheers!

Cheers Scorps...good job they were only a fiver!

Just bought some sidelights off eBay, hoping they would be white & not yellow so they would match my PIAA bulbs and they were only £5 on eBay.
Fitted them today and they are very blue, not ice blue but blue blue (!)
Are they illegal - if not are they good to have or will it make me look like a boyracer?
-
They're the same as from Xenondepot Uk based in Canada, I bought some of these - they are ok but no better than the oem bulbs in my opinion. I was fed up with the naff visibility they gave and went out and bought PIAA bulbs for ... ahem... £85 a pair, upgraded my main beams as well and these bulbs are the dogs doobries but expensive!

Has anybody seen this go on eBay today

Just over £8k for a 51 plate IS200 with 15k miles!!!! What is happening!
-
I wouldn't complain - i took an rx8 out for a drive the other week and their front washers trickle out a stream of water on the screen and it really really works - much better then the 3 nozzles on the lex!

Hey TheDon - could be side line for you mate - mobile lexus servicing!??!
Still haven't had the bottle to do my plugs btw!
-
Complete and utter rip off mate - if I was you I would shop around and even drive somewhere (even far) and you will save money. The 40k service was the major one and 50k is a minor, you don't need your cambelt doing until 100k.
I paid £252 for my 40k & £136 for my 50k service & even together it's still cheaper than your quote - this was at Lexus Stockport (with gold discount) so if I was use I would even drive to stockport and sacrifice a tank of petrol and your still quids in - good luck!
Think I deserve a beer for giving you that information my friend!

Acronymns acronyms - now I know!

Never heard of an is300sx - is it different to the is300se or was it a typo?
-
what size tyres on the 18"s? are they 225's?
-
It does sound like it's coming from a relay - I'll take it into the dealers today and see what they say.
-
Thanks mate - that's a great help!

OMG, I'm in panic mode - washed the car tonight and started to hear a clicking sound coming from the fuse box where the ecu lives.
Locked the doors and with the bonnet open it carried on.
Opened the doors, shut the bonnet and put the key in the ignition and without turning the key the clicking noise stopped. Took the key out and it started again.
Got out of the car locked the doors with the remote and it stopped. Unlocked the car with the remote and it started again.
Locked it and left it and it has gone.
Any ideas? I've done a search and can't find anything on this.
My warranty ran out 2 weeks ago !!!!!AAHHHH!
Please any help much appreciated.

I'm just glad all the documentation has been kept in a Lexus leather wallet!!!
Seems a bit of a tight a**e if he charges 20p a mile for delivery, imagine if you lived 3 miles away he'd charge 60p !!!!

OK, I got scared - I took off the air intake & air filter cover. found the 6 black things but one of them is covered by a cover which surrounds the oil cap.
I was concerned as I wasn't sure if the bolts connecting the plugs had a special torque setting (I'm no mechanic) - ask me about IT instead!
Anyway, look forward to seeing how The Don get's on!
-
Cheers Don - I was thinking of taking pics at the weekend - much appreciate your time if you do this ;-)
-
Thanks Zee - I've had a look - got scared! And will get a mate to do it at the weekend!
-
Well I've tried to take off the 3 bolts where the aircon filter is but it won't budge!
Any ideas guys - all help is very much appreciated!
-
I've just been quoted £273 by Lexus Stoke for a 60k service, providing my own spark plugs & fitting them myself and providing and fitting my own aircon filter.
Use your gold discount it pays!
Beat that then ! :P

i ordered them on Tuesday last week and they arrived yesterday, top service from that trader on ebay.. havent had time to fit them as yet though.
Mine arrive today! Will fit them this 'avvy - will let you know!

My bit - i've got an SE and it was my choice when I bought it at the time, I could have bought a Sport but wasn't bothered about the LSD or tints, chrome pedals etc - it's down to personal choice, the SE is as good as the Sport IMO.
Auto / manual - as already said above it's where you live that suits the type of driving, I live near Chester and the manual is great for me. And to add to add the straight six sounds great when your driving the car hard and changing gears manually !
Mine's due for a 60k service soon, it's 3 years old and I have had no problems other than the corroded alloys which have been replaced under warranty.
I think for £6k you'll only get an S model, as said above pay extra and at least go for an SE you will not be disappointed.

I had potenza's on mine when it was new & they only lasted 17k! That's why I swapped to SP9000's as well.
I'll get the tracking checked whilst I'm there tomorrow.
