What have you got old paper licence or the new card type?

Gear oils i change every year its only a few litres and costs less than a new gearbox or diff work The transmission oil is a GL4 And a GL5 oil thats used every year when its drained it dirty as expected started doing this on many customers cars sevral years back and seen a huge decrease in gearbox repairs and issues there after......

as said earlier this is becoming more of a problem now anything with DPF appears to be doing shorter mileages before faults occur Is it good or bad the more that is attached to our cars to stop a variety of others things the more faults occur????

As a general question regarding the is200 handling. Tramlining and twitching rear end Common issue or not? Anyone get this even have it when for example on a roundabout normal driving feel rear twitching not following round the front wheels in a normal way. ALso get it on a straight road uraban type std street road or town road it follows like its on rails if i twitch it out it will feel fair but follows road lines then further on ?? anyone have this.Tyres? geom?

a common complaint seen many times after weather such as we had picked up either large grit piece or a stone If big enough it will scrape until worn or will stick in pad material to become a pain. Best bet is take pads out to check it has not lodge inside

grind as in rubbing dull sound or metallic high pitch noise?

there is an ls400 1994 auto going on there also spares repair only because its been standing 1 day left at £360.00 looks a good for a little project or for spares for someone been standing 7 months put in lexus ls400 project it shows then

whats it ability off road like

well again we have it snow cleaned the car off at 6.30am went to have the usual breky and by 8.00am its got 3inchs on it cannot beleave this as usual roads have not been touched yet again loss of wages for another day

faulty fuel guage ?? sure there is fuel in there seen it before guages shows fuel in tank but tank is empty also how many keys do you have try another key just to see? also when it turns ov er is it turning very easy no sounds of compression or turns over flat no firing? T belt ok???

Marina 1980s sand in boot spot on been there done that never failed or let me down at all on mud snow tyres part worns i was able to buy out of my weeks wages just so i could get to work each day LOL old ways are good

Have you had pump checked? my is200 get to approx 1/3 to 1/2 way depends how far i go and heat temp in car is just as required set Do you mean temp does not feel hot enough for you ?

does the heater get hot if you park it and rev it to say 2500rpm for 2 mins? Hoses are they hot or luke warm when at idle?? is there a smell of antifreeze at all outside when you pull up or switch off the car for say 30secs or a minute?. Check the normal thermostat doubt that as you say its stay same no increase while driving etc.... Would look at water pump flow have had a few toyotas do this and each time the pumps u/s due to it still rotates but fins have worn due to corrosion and only get half the flow through the system no overheat because moving cold air sorts that also snapped shaft on pump but still goes as two pieces are touching but not at full speed.... thermostat and then pump because one controls the temp the other makes it all flow round thats why the question above about hose temp top and bottom after 2 mins at 2500rpm standing still let me know on the above things happy to help as a well known store says,,, cc

thats what i was getting at but we all pay enough to the local authoritys so an extra ton here and there is covered really when they mention they have 100 th ton etc etc ready and when its looked at in march it looks just as huge a pile :eerrrmm:

witter we fitted for many years and the really thing toyota wise..... Also with the right supplier and the product it will fit.,.... i have seen in the past bars from some suppliers that have been made but not to spec holes not quite in line etc etc this just adds hours of fitting and frustration to the job. Bumpers most come off and many need to be cut to fit over the bar or some part of it,.,, I would get the pros to fit it (unless you really want to fit it)and all is guranteed then when you tow should anything become a problem... PS make sure you get the bar retorqued after the first run of towing (not many people know or get this done) yes they do come loose after time also Also make sure the tow ball is suitable and of correct size for what you are towing....ball and pin or std ball just make sure the ball size is the same as your trailer or caravan etc ,..... May appear expensive to have a dealer or specialist company do it eg witter dealer or lexus but in the long term for piece of mind and quality of products have it done this way better than an issue while towing.

Snow mode on my other toyota works great and thats an auto snow mode on gently throttle work and its all movement not revs and no go not like the 200 thats why i used the 2.0 auto in snow not the 200
