  1. Are you having any protection coatings applied? If you are that's a good price for a week's work.
  2. So..how is everyone's front bumper? I don't know if it's just the USB colour that is massively affected by road rash but mine looked as if it was a spotty teenager. I used the Chipex pack today and whilst it is a lot better, it's not perfect. My whole front was resprayed late last year but still it looked bad. I'm guessing that a white ISF will not show it so much as when the blue paint has chipped off, there is a lovely white mark which I am guessing is the undercoat. I know Japanese paint is supposed to be very soft but it really does take a battering on our roads. I'm interested in how other owners cope with it or are affected as much as I know it bothers the hell out of me. I can't keep on filling in road rash indefinitely and I suppose the next step is to get just the bumper resprayed and then cover just that part in some kind of film. I'm sure I saw a solution advertised in a car mag.
  3. The idea of derestricted roads and one way makes me think a forum meet on the Isle of Man is one for the bucket list.
  4. Isn't it Oct 2011 for the DRLs and instrument cluster? My early 2011 doesn't have these and I always thought it was just a few months later they brought them in. The latest update also put the Sport button on the steering wheel.
  5. Sure seem to be keeping busy Pete....I do prefer the bonnet now it has been painted.
  6. Ive found they always offer the least. I didn't know that..the lying gits have always told me they offer the same as everyone else.
  7. Lexus use the same px prices as all other garages though don't they?
  8. If you need a stock I will be happy to come up and help out.
  9. It says it has a full service...I very much doubt they would change disks, pads and tyres unless they needed to. At Lexus prices that would close to £3K of work. A full service would be just fluid changes and the like. Mine had it's done in February and even though my brakes were approaching a time they needed to be changed they only advise that it will need to be done soon. It is a nice car tough and I would rather buy it from a Lexus dealer than a Renault one.
  10. So north Hampshire seems good. What would people prefer...a Bluewater type meet at Basingstoke for example or a good pub for a meal? I like the idea of the pub as I couldn't make the Cambridge meet.
  11. If I had a white interior I would use a product like this http://www.theultimatefinish.co.uk/nanolex/premium-textile-and-leather-sealant.aspx It's supposed to be great at keeping marks and stains off fabric and leather interiors.
  12. Might have been the wife around there....she works nearby and has borrowed the car a few times. A Hampshire meet would be good. If we make it north Hampshire then we may get some more people attending. Will have to look into possible venues.
  13. Glad to hear there should be no issue about warranty on the replacement...my dealership are usually very good. As for the Smart car...it is more fun around town than long journeys on the motorway, I'm dreading the drive back when I go to pick up car though. Motorway driving is no fun at all.
  14. Tell me about it...it's going to be like driving it for the first time. Must make sure I don't risk it on the M25 though...would be gutting to get a speeding ticket on the way home.
  15. Mine apparently didn't need the fuel pipe recall...so they wouldn't have picked up on it at the service. The warranty should cover it...it's not a wear and tear item so I will keep an eye on it and get them to sort it out if it drops any more. As for the noddy car....it's not physically possible to enjoy it.
  16. My heart sank when Jez said he was getting the Smart car for me to drive home..maybe my expectations were a bit too high. The one thing I did like about it was as I was sitting so far back my all round visibility was spot on...I could see when a lorry was about to roll over me! Sadly I have no friends able to save me from the 2 hour drive from hell.
  17. ..about getting a CT200 as a courtesy car. This is the monstrosity that Ultimate Finish gave me as a courtesy car. Possibly the worst car I have ever driven.....especially driving 100 miles along the M25 and M3 in the pouring rain this morning. My ISF is getting a full detail there and I'm picking it up on Saturday morning....should look nice and I will post some pictures up. I had the wheels refurbished last week as they all had minor scuffs and dings that needed sorting out. Some of them were times when I am sure I haven't scraped a kerb and looked like road debris has hit them and UF are coating the wheels so hopefully they should hold up better over the summer. It really is going to be an expensive month. One thing I have noticed with my ISF is that the coolant level has dropped to the minimum. I topped it up last year after buying some at the local dealer and I have looked for any residue around the engine bay but there is no sign of a leak. Will have to keep an eye on that in case it needs sorting out under warranty.
  18. Tame??? He He he....I tend to only be a hooligan where there is no chance of any pedestrians. Will have to keep a look out for you though.
  19. Go on Eric...you know it makes sense. Glad you have seen me around....hopefully not being too much of a hooligan.
  20. Welcome..the white does look nice with those wheels. It's good to know that even with all those miles it's still going strong. Fantastic car.
  21. Welcome to the club...you are going to have some fun. Thought your one went quickly...the dealer seemed very generous on the price and you got a real bargain there.
