  1. From what I know just disconnect the battery for like 30 mins and everything should reset. never heard of resetting the ECU with removing fuses, but I guess it won't hurt if you want to be extra sure everything is resetting.
  2. I actually liked the outcome of the gold wrap, looked better than I expected and makes the ISF curves stand out
  3. Wait mine is actually Nebula Grey and not mercury grey. is there a difference? when I googled mercury grey my car came up lol
  4. Really? only 5 in the country?!? So if I import mine it'll be the 6th :)
  5. Well they do have an RCF that they're playing around with now :) and owner does have a fat wallet but I believe he's mainly into setting records for crazy fast drag cars going up against guys in the states
  6. Yes this is in Bahrain, Ekanoo racing to be exact and they are one of the best in their field. This ISF has seen many great runs, but unfortunately for this run it didn't turn out well. I believe its also down to cross wind as difficult as that may be.
  7. Yup must have had something in front to cause the PCS to activate. Mine used to come on all the time if i switch lanes and come close to a car, it can be scary at times. I now deactivate the system when I plan to drive aggressively :)
  8. Well my car had/has Catless PPE headers with Cateless Joe-Z exhaust. When I was asking about getting my car road legal in the UK I was told I would only need to install cats on the Joe-Z (right after the headers). Currently I still have the PPE headers installed with the OEM exhaust so it should pass MOT in this setup. Further down the line I will be adding the HFCs to the Joe-Z so I can drive with the exhaust and pass emission test. Eventually it should look something similar to this (post #1583 has the pic of the HFC installed) : http://www.clublexus.com/forums/cl-vendor-products-for-is-f/809681-rr-racing-isf-ecu-tune-finally-106.html
  9. I was under the impression that you can run cateless headers but you need to install cats after the headers (exhaust side piping) to make it legal? That's what I'm planning to do eventually with my Joe-Z (Cateless exhaust).
  10. Thanks Linas, yes my worry is when it comes to changing the wiring loom and if it's a major change then I doubt I'll be doing it. In future I would plan to install the rear clusters and wire them on a independent switch to make it at least look OEM from the outside when it comes to the fogs being on.
  11. Yup thanks Mate, just ordered it should be in the house within a day or two and then I'll ship it to here and install it before shipping the car over so its all good to go. Thanks for the help, will update you guys on pics once it's done.
  12. Now I'm thinking for the time being just getting the below retro kit: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Import-fog-lamp-kit-MOT-or-SVA-/222413932500
  13. Looking around OEM Lexus part suppliers I have only managed to get the correct light assembly from these guys (Megazip) I have no idea how good or reliable they are but they seem to have everything: https://www.megazip.net/zapchasti-dlya-avtomobilej/toyota/lexus-is-f-1919/use20-3646/use20-fezrh-425234/rear-combination-lamp-5518439 I have made one order before but still waiting for the part to arrive, has anyone tried them before?
  14. Does anyone know if I get the below switch assembly (jap spec which should come with rear foglight switch): http://www.oemlexusparts.com/2013-lexus-is_f-base-gas_5.0_v_8-transmission_automatic_trans_speeds-steering_column-shroud_switches_levers-8916300/ and buy the rear Foglight assembly would it be a simple plug and play? i.e. will the wiring already be connected up from the rear lights to the new stork? From the pictures the plugs for the wires all look the same as mine, I'm just wondering if within those plugs there's a difference if that makes sense.
  15. Thanks for the replies guys, Yes I'm trying to keep it as OEM as possible so if I can install the UK type rear lights then that's what I plan to do. The only thing now is if I install the UK type lights then I would need to change the stalk, From the pics the stalk doesn't seem that difficult to change. I've already taken out my steering wheel before so I'm sure its just another step from there. I'll try and see the diagram for the stalks and figure out if it's a simple plug and play.
  16. Thanks for the pics, it seems like even my stalk is different, I wonder if there's a way to integrate both front and rear to a single stork switch if that makes sense. here's a pic of mine, only 1 selection for Fog lights :(
  17. Thanks mate, appreciated. I thought it would have been only 1 side lighting up, I guess it's both sides. I'm trying to do this as OEM as possible so lets see what the US guys tell me about the wiring and if its a simple plug and play. Do you activate the rear fogs from the indicator stick? and is it 1 click for front fogs to come on and 2 clicks for the rears to activate? or do both front and rear activate with a single turn?
  18. Hi guys, so I'm in the process of getting the car ready for shipping, just doing some research on how I can get a rear foglight installed only my rear lights. Currently this is what I have in place of where the fog lights should be ( a blocked off hole). Can someone send me a pic of how theirs looks? from the outside with the light on and preferably also from the inside how the wiring looks compared to mine.
  19. Oh and forgot this one, Now this race was a bit unfair because the E92 was sitting waiting for me (heat soaking) so I don't consider it fair to be honest. I have PPE Headers + Joe-Z exhaust while the E92 only had the catback exhaust. The E92 has loads of mods, Tuning makes a significant difference and so does the Transmission tune which you can see in the last Vid before this one, it really makes the E92 fly.
  20. I know this might be 100% revelant to the topic here but since we're talking about weight and M3s I figured I'll share my experience racing my cousin's E92 M3 from nearly stock to fully tuned (N/A). At the end it comes down to a driver's race. On the last video I discovered afterwards that I had a bad exhaust leak on my Joe-Z exhaust so in theory we should do a re-match :) First Vid: IS-F Stock E92 has cat-back exhaust: Second Vid: IS-F Has PPE Headers, E92 has Cat-back exhaust: Third Race: IS-F (PPE Headers + Joe-Z Catless Exhaust + RR Racing Tune (Stock Limiter) - Figs 2-piece Front Rotors + Full Size Spare Removed) E92 M3 (M-DCT Trans + Eisenmann Race Cat-Back Exhaust + Macht Schnell Stainless Steel Race X-Pipe (Catless) + ESS ECU-Flash Performance Software + ESS Performance DCT Software + 19" Volk TE37 SL)
  21. Yeah agree country roads will be more challenging lol. Hopefully the final cost won't come out to be that much, I'll start getting quotes and see how things look.
  22. Understand what you're saying, but yes the plan if ever I'm going to sell the car would be to the continent, so I hope there's a bigger market there for Left Hand Drives. Honestly driving around in a Left hand drive car in London isn't that bad, there are quiet a few lhd cars there driving around.
  23. Yeah Agreed Rusty, I grew up in London and lived there for 20+ years I know how bad the roads can get lol I've already changed one of my rear suspensions because it started leaking so I'm not happy keeping one side newer than the other (if that makes sense) and the roads I drive on here (industrial Area) are very bad and my oem suspensions have gone through abuse, but they've held up pretty well. So it's time I give the car some love
  24. lol Yeah fuel prices will be a killer, but I should be ok. I will still be working/living in the Middle East so the car will be parked up and covered for maybe 80% of the year. I honestly just want to take it to the drag strip and maybe a few track days as there are no places here for "legal" racing or any sort of tracks. lol well I am planning on installing a tracker once it's in the UK just to be extra safe :) I don't care if the value drops, I honestly believe the IS-F is a very unique beast and will eventually hold it's value down the road. Even if it doesn't it'll still be a very rare car to see. Thanks for the help guys, I'll be trying to sort this out over the next month. Will keep you guys posted if she ever lands in the UK.
