  5. 11400-50090 is the part number for the short block assembly And this is what you get:
  6. I just have the full size wheel in the boot OR If I am doing a long journey and need the full boot I put the wheel behind the passenger seat in the rear passenger footwell standing up. Fits very snug but it does fit Just get a spare wheel bag to keep it in or wrap it in an old bed sheet

  11. http://www.ryanair.com/en/cheap-flights/manchester-to-dublin/?out-date=2014-07-01 There we go, I am debating it but don't know what needles I will need to get to go to Ireland !!!
  12. If you don't mind I will analyse what you just wrote: "One big advantage the BMW has over Lexus is that there are independent specialists in this area" Basically the reason for this is because it is not financially viable to be a Lexus independent specialist because they do not break often enough to earn an honest crust. The reason why there are an abundance of BMW specialists is because there are an abundance of knackered BMWs needing to be fixed And for any smart arse who comes up with a comeback saying there are no independent Rover Montego specialists in their area is this because they are reliable too ............... Just don't :P Stick with the Lexus ............... you know it makes sense
  13. Found this http://blog.lexus.co.uk/2013/08/how-does-lexus-hybrid-drive-work/#.U5yc5Sg63eA Very interesting read Tells you how the petrol engine is used to power the batteries when they are needed to be charged up Also tells you how when going down hill how the electric motors kick in in reverse to gain some charge from the wasted energy there too All of this in my opinion just adds friction to the running gear and would be like driving a car around town with 2 clicks on the handbrake and 5 bags of cement in the boot. Also read this for a bit of information on the REAL LIFE MPG figures http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/car-reviews/38182/lexus-ls600h-l It states that around town you will get no where near the stated 30.4mpg more like 20mpg (which is what my LS400 gets) Basically from reading all of this I have come to the conclusion that it is a lot of car (very nice car) but there are nicer cheaper things out there
  14. Laugh all you want as far as I was aware to create energy you first must use energy Kind of like driving a bike all day. If it is just a bike then you will need less energy than if there was a dynamo on the front wheel powering a front lamp Anyway please enlighten me as to how the electrical engines receive power as I really do not know.
  15. Tried this and it didn't really help too much I have spoken to the local lexus specialist and he said in the 15 years he has been independant and the numerous years before that when he worked at lexus he has NEVER had to replace the bush in the lower suspension arm. Only ever the FRONT lower suspension arm which goes. I then explained that my discs were new and were fine for the first 1000 miles and then the brake wobble came back and he said it will be to do with the disc not sitting flat on the hub and rubbing against a caliper because of this and its basically cockeyed To test this I jacked my car up and spun the wheel and the caliper sticks on a certain part of the disc and then frees off. When I say stick I mean ever so slightly so I feel that this specialist may be talking sense. The discs are under warranty anyway so I will get them swapped over and really clean up the hubs so I can see my face in them
  16. Nope no laugh What do you think happens when you put your air con on - the engine is put under more labour because it has to turn an extra pulley I am guessing that the generator for the electric batteries/engine is some form of alternator with a clutch pulley which when enabled will put the petrol engine under more stress causing it to use more petrol to generate electricity Please correct me if I am wrong
  17. Well when there is no electricity I am lead to believe that the car will run on petrol and charge the batteries Maybe there is a fuse you can pull to disable it all, Maybe the car would get more MPG too because the petrol engine would not be laboured by generating energy for the electric engine
  18. do you think you can knock them out and then back in again without physically taking the hub off the car Reason I ask is because I still have a TERRIBLE brake wobble and I have a feeling I didn't wire brush the hubs down good enough therefore making my discs not sit square (or round!!!) so what my plans are are to knock all the bolts off so I have a flat surface and get a wire wheel on the go
  19. PM me your reg and I will tell you all you need to know about your car :P (in terms of registration date and things like that)
  20. I have the bigger more expensive wheels on mine and they don't flake They are the DHP wheels, come to think about it how do I find out if my car is DHP or not !!
  21. 90942-02070 is the part number of the stud you need Looks like they are about £3 each from Lexus
  22. Yeah it can but as you have just looked on toyodiy you will see that the pump is different for a 5sp or 6sp and on the 6sp there is 3 different pumps it can be depending on month of manufacture
