  1. If you get yourself to a meet I can attend Dave, i'll shout you a nice big bar of Galaxy chap! ;) That's two happy ISF owners that you have helped so far. Maybe they will let you out earlier for good behaviour/ISF community service?? Lol.
  2. Proper carbon is expensive unfortunately. :( I did ask Whifbitz about doing some parts for our cars, but the machining/molding costs make it impracticable unfortunately! He does some awesome carbon stuff for the Supra, but then again they are the largest Supra tuner/parts suppliers in Europe (so have enough customers to warrant the outlay developing new parts). Wrapping can work quite effectively. Did the rear spoiler, and front splitter on my last Supra in wrap:
  3. Sounds good Andy. :) Think I may start a new thread about cleaning/care so we can see who uses what polishes etc. I'm a big Meguiars fan myself. :) Have nearly every product they sell I think! ;) Do like Poorboys, Autoglym and Dodo Juice as well. Happy cleaning chap! Was out most of Saturday doing mine, but already needs work! :( Hasn't even moved since! Lol.
  4. I must admit the blue calipers would be something I would consider. :) At the end of the day Stu, you can always have them re-painted before you sell it? That way it wouldn't affect the resale value etc. Wheels are a tougher decision though (more costly to re-finish if you did go for something to OTT! Lol). I think hyper chrome black would be a nice finish. Have a look on the Rimtec website (based near me - did some work on one of my old cars). Think it'll be somewhere around £300 to have them re-finished in the hyper chrome. This is the website: http://www.rimtecrefurbs.co.uk/
  5. Hey Andy. :) Congrats on your ISF fella. As others have already said, these look so nice in that blue! ;) Glad you are liking it so far chap, interesting to hear you also think the ride isn't that hard compared to your previous IS. I personally find the ride very forgiving (has to be with all the potholes! :(). Look forward to seeing some more pictures when you get time. :) Cheers. Peter
  6. Felt good on the short drive home chap. :) Will let you know after next weekend (will have driven 320+ miles on them).
  7. Three were metal, one was rubber. The sleeve hides it though. :) Again, it was a freebie. Guess it's like most chains mate. Some are good, others not so much! ;)
  8. Roheel, Sorry to hear your local Kwik Fit weren't any help mate. :( The Strood branch were the complete opposite. Chap did a brake check for me for free, and even dug out a new metal valve sleeve and cap to replace the one plastic cap I had. Worth the trip if you want them done chap. :)
  9. You're a natural with it Dave! ;) Fast considering its conk powered!!!
  10. They let you go on the internet a lot though Dave! ;) Lol. Guess funny farms are moving with the times at least! ;) How do you type in your straightjacket though?? :)
  11. That's better mate ,I can sleep well now lol You're easily pleased Dave! ;) Lol.
  12. Yes mate. Will be changing those at some point. Found LED fog lights as well in the US! ;) You can pop round anytime fella. Plenty of parking in our quiet road for another ISF! Happy to help anytime chap. :) Cheers. Pete
  13. Not Strood mate. I'm in Higham (lower Higham to be precise). It's between Strood and Gravesend fella. :)
  14. Hey Roheel, Went to Kwik Fit in Strood mate. Running 40 PSI all round. Yes mate. Still got a full set of Bridgestone's on mine. :)
  15. Don't rub it in you two! ;) Lol. Very jealous! There wasn't anything around when I bought mine with that kind of mileage. Enjoy it Rob, amazing cars. :)
  16. Congrats mate. :) Very nice indeed. Not many around with that kinda mileage on an 08 plate. Has it been serviced correctly? Should have 6 stamps in the book.
  17. Looking great Rob! :) Is that only 17K miles on the clock? Nice!! What year is it? Very nice mate. :)
  18. Hey David, Just got back from my local Quik Fit. It's £1.50 a tyre (just shows it's cheaper up North! Lol), but for £6, wow! :) Does feel nicer than it did on normal air. The young chap who got to do the work was really chuffed to drive my car as well! ;) All in all, very pleased with it. Thanks for the tip fella. If you're going to clay yours, goes without saying you need to use plenty of quick detailer or similar to keep the surface nice and moist. Have fun! :) Cheers. Pete
  19. Nice one Matt! ;) At least we now know who the 5th ISF belonged to! ;) There are a couple of pictures of yours on this thread! Did think it was unusual to have another one at Bluewater that wasn't there for the meet! With only just over 200 in the country, what were the odds! ;) I'm certain we'll do a few more Bluewater meets mate. Just keep your eyes peeled for the thread! ;) Be nice to see another one parked up with the rest of us. :) Cheers. Pete :)
  20. I think someone touched on this earlier on the thread, but Lexus would have set a target figure for the ISF when they built it. The engine, intake, cam, exhaust, ECU etc would have been chosen to achieve that target output. The simple fact is the engine can produce closer to 500 if you add different parts. Yes it could alter the low and mid range figures, but it will gain in the higher range and produce more power. I've not started digging into aftermarket ECU's yet, but if something like the SYVECS we used on the Supra will work, Ryan at 2bar tuning can re-map the car to achieve an optimum setup with all of the extra components. Look at the GTR. it's a well known fact that no two GTR's produce the same horsepower. Some got more than others, despite having identical blocks, heads, cranks, cams etc. Lexus also play the long game, and may have held back the ISF, so they could add power to the RCF. Either way there are good gains to be had if you have deep enough pockets, and a desire to gain more power. Same applies to most cars, but turbo'd and supercharged cars are generally easier to do it with than n/a's.
  21. Bargain! ;) Know what I'm doing today!! Lol. Think a good polish is in order as well. Sunshine!!! Yeah! ;)
  22. Not to rain on anyone's parade, but dyno's aren't a true representation of a cars 'real' world capabilities. The conditions are simulated, and not something anyone should be hanging their hat on in terms of accuracy. Does the intake and exhaust improve the performance? Yes it does. As I think every single ISF owner that attended the Bluewater meet last weekend would agree, Stu's car sounds awesome. :) Has he lost power by fitting the exhaust and intake, I seriously doubt it. The US guys run 95 RON fuel I believe? Know from the Supra side of things that they are massively de-tuned, due to the poor quality of fuel over there. Whilst I'm not 100% sure if the OEM ISF ECU adjusts for fuel quality, the dyno operator may back off early if he thinks the car is at risk of detonation. This would occur much quicker on a car running lower quality fuel. Hopefully the dyno day will give us some numbers to study, but it's not just about HP gains. The main reason for the exhaust is to replace those crappy fake tips, and give it the true V8 burble it deserves.
  23. Ummm, nah! Noisy will be just fine! ;) As we discussed, can always add a muffler if it's too much. :)
  24. Guess I may opt to be the guinea pig! ;) Guessing they can do a de-cat for the 2nd cats Stu? May cost a bit more, but worth it in my opinion. That would be good to test back to back with yours on the dyno as well Stu. We can see how much difference it makes. :)
