  1. Yep! Got a 2010 White one, had it since Jan 2013 now. Need to update the profile! Which White Glenn? Pearlescent or flat? Must admit I love the pearlescent white ones. :) Might be the only car I would swap mine for! ;) Would get a newer one with less miles if I do ever change. Hopefully you can do a few meets with the rest of us Essex, Kent, Londoners! :) Cheers. Pete
  2. Hey Dave, Sounds like the sort of knob I'd expect to drive a VXR! ;) Had a bog standard Carerra up my bum on the M25 this morning. Given we were on the camera section before the Dartford Crossing, decided to move to the middle lane and let him past. Sure enough, he passes me at around 90, then slows down for the 50 bit (still 60 mind). I picked a better toll booth than he did, and we ended up level at the barriers! ;) I chucked on the Apexi throttle controller(red mode), put it in Sport, and floored it. The chaps face was a picture! Must have made six car lengths on him before I slowed down. Had a face like a bulldog licking pee when he finally passed me!! ;) Such a good all-rounder the IS-F. :) Love mine!!!
  3. I stand partially corrected having spent a bit longer looking at the advert in more detail. The photos at the top are for illustration purposes only (see the footer on the ad), the main pictures of the actual car are towards the bottom of the ad. These show the correct controls/steering wheel for a 2008 model. I would have expected some detail of the damage that resulted in it being classed as a CAT D though?? Couldn't see any description or details of the repairs etc? There is nothing wrong with a CAT D as long as it's been repaired to the right standard. I'd have liked photos of the damage, details of who/where it was repaired (was it a Lexus approved repair centre for example), and details of the servicing etc. Could be a cheap car for someone who plans to hold on to it, but the lack of detail relating to the damage would worry me. :(
  4. This is VERY dodgy if you ask me! As Dave mentioned the interior shot shows the later model steering wheel with the sport button and blue section at the bottom. Trouble is it states it's a 2008 model?!?! If that's the case, must have been quite some accident to need a different steering wheel!!! :( I'd avoid it big time!
  5. Hey Philip, I was over on the Z4 forum myself for a while. I also wrote a column for Performance BMW magazine for several months. The ISF is an incredible car in every sense. The ride is considered by some to be too firm, but I don't think it's very firm at all! The E85 3.0i Z4 I had was firmer in my honest opinion. It's all relative I guess. with a rolling start, coming off a roundabout, I slaughtered a Porsche Carrera 4S the other week! ;) There honestly aren't many things that can show up an IS-F. Servicing costs are a lot better than the M3 as well. You also have only 200 or so IS-F's on the road in the UK, making it very unlikely you'll ever see another one! :) Don't mind Dave, he's a Northerner! lol. ;)

This is what I got in my kit: So we have: - Reverse Lights - Map Lights - these are the 3 in the front dome - Dome Lights - rear dome - Couresy Lights x 2 - one was the puddle lights, one was the door lights - Vanity Lights - the ones behind the sun visors - Trunk Light - the one in the boot I'm happy with the strength of the puddle lights to be honest. The second picture is misleading, as you can see the street light is giving a false brightness. Guess it depends on what you want from them. Mine are plenty bright enough when added with the domes that come on when you unlock the doors. You can always pop over one evening to see for yourself mate? Photos don't do them justice in my opinion. Cheers. Peter :)

  11. Hi Paul, Good questions! Not sure what the answers would be to be totally honest chap. I don't believe there would be any stored data for the G force achieved. If there was, I am pretty sure it could be cleared from the ECU prior to any sale. The same would apply to any error codes that may have been recorded at the time of an accident/failure. I'm guessing your VIN question is more a case of what the differences are between a pre and post LSD/DRL equipped model?? Each car will have it's own unique VIN (I'm sure you already know this), but maybe the later cars have an additional letter or number that identifies if it has the LSD/DRL fitted? May be a dumb question but have you tried speaking with a Lexus dealer about the car you are looking to buy? If you can give them the registration number, they can access the Dealer Network database, and send you screenshots of the information they have? Lexus Woodford did this for me when I was looking to buy mine. :) Not the best response I know, but maybe helps a bit. Good luck with the purchase chap! ;) Cheers. Peter
  12. Hey Guys, I've made some enquiries through my very helpful friends in LA about a group buy of sorts on the LED interior lighting kits from Precision. I'll post an update on here with prices etc when I hear more. If we could get together a list of those who would like a kit, what colour bulbs you want (6K or 8K), and if you want the complete package to include the LED reverse lights (highly recommend these - much brighter than stock, more definition on the multimedia screen when you reverse in dark conditions). I'll probably limit the first order to 5 units, unless we have enough interest to get 10. I'm due over in LA/AZ towards the end of May. Once I know the prices, will ask you guys to transfer the cash into my joint bank account. I'll then buy the dollars for the kits before I head out in May. For those not familiar with the kits, this is a link to their website: http://www.precisionled.com/vehicle/lexus-led/is-f-led.html If anyone wants to see the kit in action so to speak, you are more than welcome to have a look at mine (provided you don't mind travelling to Kent!). :) Really can't recommend these enough. Pictures don't do them justice to be honest. This is the YouTube install video they did which is pretty self explanatory. The sunglasses holder is the only discrepancy, and you just remove the cover to expose the two Phillips head screws shown on the video. Again, happy to help with installation if you are worried about anything. The puddle lights in the side mirrors are by far the trickiest ones to change. Any questions, post them here, or PM me.   13. Pretty sure Stu is right on the post code only searching. :( Not ideal, but you do get used to it after a few times. Being able to use it on the move is better for sure. The instructions and animation for exits etc is better than Tom Tom in my opinion. Never really bothers me as I'm normally only driving to places I know! ;) For new places, I'll take the time to do battle with the sat nav! :)

  15. Hey Andy, Most important thing is to keep the surface moist mate. I use Meguiars Quick Detailer. You also need to make sure you pick off any larger tar/dirt particles from the clay, and fold the dirt into the clay frequently. If you drop the clay on the ground, best off binning it for a new piece. Concentrate on specific areas, and make sure you buff the area after you've finished claying it with a microfiber. I tend to mask off trim and seals as well with detailing tape. Just prevents you from getting lumps of clay in places that are hard to remove! ;) Hope this helps. :)
  16. Congrats Stu. :) Keep this up, and you'll have a new car! Lol. :) Mine exhibit a small amount of condensation sometimes. Not enough to worry me, but if you can do it under the warranty, why not! ;) Just need some new bulbs to finish things off! Lol. :)
  17. Looking good Stu. :) I'll be getting a full set of the Vredsteins for mine soon. Very good tires. The Supra guys have been using them for a while now. Mine needs cleaning AGAIN!! :( Poxy Sahara desert sand all over it at the moment! Lol. Another job for the weekend! ;)
  18. Hey Sim, Main beams should be more powerful, in addition to being a closer colour match to the dipped ones. Haven't fitted them just yet, but should be done first thing Saturday morning. The additional brake lights in the rear bumper reflectors look great chap. More importantly, they add an extra level of safety, by making other drivers behind you more aware when you're braking. :) I'll ask my buddy in LA to contact Precision regarding a group buy/discount.   19. Hey Steve, That's two sets I'll need to grab in May so far! ;) Just need to decide on whether you want the 6K or 8K (mine are the 8K). Not sure what you mean about the license plate bulbs?? Mine are still OEM mate. May look brighter due to the LED reverse lights? They really are powerful compared to stock! ;) I'll need to get some prices from my buddy in LA for the kits.   20. Thanks Sim. :) Yes mate. Those are the Cool White 8K LED's. You will have to see them in the flesh though to get the full effect! ;) Really pleased with them. :)
  21. Hi Andy, No mate not getting mine from Sewells. Using the California shop that advertises on eBay. It's a lot cheaper, but has had rave reviews from people who've bought them. I'll get plenty of pictures up when I get it in May. :) Works out around £400 or so? :) Cheers. Peter :)
