i have a centre console arm rest that doesn't always lock down, sometimes it opens straight away which has left me thinking if i've pressed the arm rest down far enough but today i noticed that the latch hasn't been returning to the locked position as quickly as it should,luckily it is an easy fix. 1) open arm rest and remove 2 cross head screws 2) unclip the plastic undertray down the sides until there is just enough room to unclip and remove the lock assembly 3) on one side of the lock there is a plastic hook attached to the release button (stops the button coming out too far) gently lift it to release the two halves 4) once seperated give both halves a good clean,you will find some heavy grease around the spring and runners 5) i then used a ptfe spray on both halves and re-assembled jobs done i have seen on other sites that owners have gone back under warranty for this but its not worth the time and effort its a 10 minute job to do.

personally i use cold water to defrost my windows and it works fine as its warmer than ice with it still being a liquid

has anyone watched watchdog this evening on bbc1 they where showing how theives where taking cars by creating new keys these manufacturers included BMW , LAND ROVER and AUDI but after watching tonights programme do you feel lexus owners have any thing to worry about ??? what are your feelings as it happens i only spoke to lexus head office today about this and they tried to assure me that lexus is safe (but they would say that) as insurance companies are happy with the lexus security sytem fitted

i watched some of the 1st formula e and i have to say i didnt like it and dont think i will be watching another race, for me there wasn't the impression of speed ,with there being no exhaust noise's that gives you that feeling,they just sounded like my first rc battery car .

is the obd II port always powered i am asking this as i want to buy a small elm327 adapter to leave plugged in the obd II port permanently but i dont want to drain the battery by doing this, does anyone know

what you have said makes sense to me now, why the windows look dark from the outside but are easy to see through from the inside

i have 17's fitted on my ct and on a rough road surface you can tell low profile tyres are fitted but you get used to it very quickly so it doesn't become an issue,it could be down to what the individual likes,personally i like the look of the low profile over the std 65 / 70 series tyre wall but thats just me

i had plenty of battery power left the road i had been travelling down is flat / slightly downhill so battery use is very minimal, as i dais i thought is it was strange to see the miles to go getting less

i know the on board mpg figures are never right but i am not sure if i may of found the reason why, it could also be the reason why when the fuel guage reads empty you still have a good few litres left. the other day i had been driving on batteries and had the miles to go before empty screen on the display and i noticed that even on batteries the miles to go where going down i started at 24 miles before empty and ended up showing 19 miles before empty when i got home, now surely traveling on batteries this figure shouldn't change, has anyone else noticed this.

i would be taking it back i dont know how much you paid for the upgrade but whatever you paid it is too much since you can only tune into half a dozen stations,if the installer told you could only tune into 6 stations the purchase wouldn't of been made by you ,i feel that the upgrade isn't fit for purpose so you should be able to have a refund if they cannot give you the variety of stations that are widely available today.

today i managed to remove the trims from around the front fog lights it is a little fiddly due to lack of space but it is manageable. in each wheel arch there are two 1/4 turn screws, turn through 90 degrees and remove then on the corner of the bumper / undertray there is a steel screw remove this, the wheel arch liner can be moved out of the way. from the back you can locate the 5 clips and release them. here is a photo of the rear of the trim to show you where the clips are at this point i hadn't trimmed the film on the back so it doesn't look great and here is a photo of a finished trim and fitted back into the car

how do you remove the surrounds off the front fogs,do they unclip from the front of the bumper or do you have to work from the back of the bumper to release them any help would be great thanks

yes the button is only functional if smart entry is fitted ,i have tried it on my car that doesn't have smart entry and nothing happens

i replaced the dash speakers with some infinity reference speakers and they sounded worse than the originals so i swapped them back. i have the basic 6 speaker system the 10 speakers system is wired up a little differently,on the 6 speaker system the dash speakers go through a condensor which filters the frequencys that can pass to your speaker. then 10 speaker system doesn't have this condensor.

19 years ago i fitted my 1st reversing system and people laughed at me i received the std comment "i dont need it as i can park my car" but everyone has it now and would be lost without it,the systems give you that bit of extra confidence,we also have a 14 plate aygo for my partner,i fitted a monitor and a camera for her again she didnt want it but i know she always has a glimpse at it when she reverses just to double check. i have to agree with you paul whats the difference between the press of a button on the remote and a press of a button on the door or boot lid ??? the car still requires you to make that press of a button.

i have a 2014 ct courtesy car at the moment going back in the morning it has the smart entry fitted and i do like being able to lock the car by touching the indent on the door handle and the large boot button unlocks the car and the small boot button locks the car

well i am not in northern ireland, ok i was a little over but at kwik-fit it is £13 for valve,balance and disposal of tyre then maybe £3 tyre fitting charge so in total £16 its still £64

its a good price if you can fit them yourself otherwise you will pay about £80 for the fitting of tyre ,fitting of valve a balance and disposal of old tyre you are then back in the ball park of kwik fit except you can have them now no waiting
