  1. i tried the super petrol that turned out to be not so super petrol, no difference in mpg at all ,so in my opinion its not worth the extra
  2. here is mine from today and
  3. i have managed to get rid of most creaks and squeaks from the car ,occasionally i do get a creak and yes i am on 17's
  4. of course not, waitrose shoppers would sit down have a cuppa and talk it over and arrange a time they could meet again.
  5. i do always wear my seat belt but when i am driving on the service road leading to my house i normally take my belt off as i need to open my gates and reverse onto the driveway and the buzzer gets so loud on our aygo you can override the buzzer and mute it, just thought you maybe able to do on the ct
  6. does anyone know if there's a way of turning the seat belt buzzer off ??
  7. i hate people that park in child parking bays without children if i have my way i would wheel clamp all four wheels and have an individual charge to remove each of them or string them up by the bollocks if they couldn't pay. we have an 8mth old baby and yes we use the bays and only when he is with us in the car, if he isn't i would'nt park in them.
  8. look at item number 8 i feel this maybe the option you want turning off if it is ask lexus to do it
  9. just thought i would post a link for the breaking a ct200h as you dont find many people breaking these cars and could save loc members some money http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lexus-CT-200h-2011-Breaking-/321413944688?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4ad5c39570
  10. You can test the coil by using an multimeter set on the resistance setting if on the sub it states 4 ohms then you want to see a reading of 4 on the meter if it's higher then the coil has started to breakdown, your sub may have a rating of 2 ohms so just read the specs of the sub. The car audio centre have a good range of subs that you could fit in its place, I would keep the ml sub so when you sell your car you can put the original back in
  11. I have a ct200h and was quoted £460 for a 40000mile service today
  12. i dont know much about the lateral dampers that are fitted to some ct's i am guessing that its the F SPORT that has them fitted as standard ,i was wondering if they actually make a noticeable difference in the way the car drives / handles and whether creaks are reduced. any help would be great
  13. i've painted the calipers and put some lexus decal on them here are some pics of my car
  14. i have just bought this item off ebay for our other car http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/380721685680?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 these are great little clips that securely hold the foot mat in place just like oem mats and at the price they are, great value in comparison to buying new lexus mats
  15. I would say that this is unlikely: you need to be within close proximity to the car and you have to keep the button pressed for a few seconds (at least 3) for anything to happen. Furthermore, as soon as the button is released, the opening/closing stops... the risk is similar to the car unlocking itself while the remote is in your pocket. dan i have to disagree with you ,whilst at work a while ago i was working on the forklift truck when the spark came in and asked who the ct belonged to as the windows had been down for ages so i had pressed the button without knowing ,i was about 60ft away from my car ,when i had it enabled ,lexus did double check with me that i did want it as other customers had complained their windows had come down without them knowing
  16. make sure your sensors are clean maybe get the hose pipe out at them and give them a blast especially around the circle that you can see in the middle of the sensor as dirt can get trapped there
  17. you can do it yourself but you will need to buy an elm 327 adapter http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_odkw=elm+327+bluetooth&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1311.R1.TR11.TRC1.A0.H0.Xelm+327+&_nkw=elm+327&_sacat=0 i then downloaded carista (free download) then i paid £6 to upgrade the software this allowed me to access the lexus personal settings using my android phone / tablet ,i then turned off the window open and close function that was bugging me.you can alter the reverse beep as well. if you are using an iphone then the wifi version of the adapter is what you need
  18. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kEfzGpgP7c0 fast forward to 3 min 20 sec'ish
  19. does anyone know if the writing on the passenger sunvisor can be removed, the reason being is that i want to buy some sliding ones from america and since they drive on the wrong side of the road their passenger visor is my drivers visor and i would rather have a plain visor on my side. can anyone help me
  20. i know i posted up a link a short while ago for ngk partfinder and it didn't include our ct model but good news we now have a listing www.ngkpartfinder.co.uk it is suitable for all cars, lorry's,vans, scooters and bikes so its a helpful site it will give you part numbers for spark plugs std and iridium glow plugs ignition coils & lambda sensors
  21. in the 6 months i have had this car the charge level has never exceeded the minus sign or half way up the plus sign but today after coming down a fairly long hill the charge level went to the top of the plus sign, so my question to you all is how high does your battery level indicator ever show. can you ever have a fully charged battery ???
  22. alloy wheel bolts are longer and when you use a steel rim the will protrude further into the hub and may foul on the internal parts, i am sure the aygo my partner owned had a seperate set of bolts for the spare wheel ,she had alloys as std and a steel spare.
  23. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LEXUS-CT200h-17-SPACE-SAVER-SPARE-WHEEL-REF-001-/151288629692?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Rims_Car_Wheels_ET&hash=item23398149bc here is one on ebay but dont forget you will need a set of steel wheel bolts to use the space saver
  24. Why? What happened? They ran out of canapes :) just £750 off the price of a new car plus the small amount of equity that i have in my car then £425 a month when i am paying £209 a month its a big jump
