  1. The space saver is only intended as a "get you home". It's speed and distance restricted and to my mind not unreasonably. In 35 years of driving i think I've only had to resort to a spare 3 times so I can agree it's just not worth hauling the weight and commiting the space to a full size wheel. I'm not expecting everyone to agree but just offering the counter view. Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  2. My accord was fold down seats and one of reason I left honda was the later accords don't fold. The facelift came in at January 2014 though deliveries wern't until March when j got mine. I have a premier in ultra blue with cream yellow leather which I think is a great combo but I note the anti leather view of your father. There was quite a lot of upgrades in the facelift which improved ride, noise deadening, engine take up and importantly replaced puncture goo with a space saving spare wheel. For me the improvements tipped the balance towards the later model. Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  3. I prefer the ct - I had the accord for ten years and another before that - the boot is smaller and there's no opportunity to override the auto like in the accord - but the fuel saving is massive - use about 60% of what i used in the accord. I test drove the pre facelift on 17" wheels but bought the post facelift on 16". The test ride was a little harsh but I've no complaints with what I bought. 16" as definitely preferable. As to colour look at the ultra blue it stands out from other blues on other cars. Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  4. Not sure what you mean by display on dash - if you mean the central video screen it's foldable on pre 2014 models and fixed following the facelift Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  5. I moved from an Accord auto and have been very happy. Suggest you look at autotrader - the specs of the cars are often listed extensively - after very little time you'll see what's available on which model. Alternatively visit a lexus dealer. For your budget the pre 2014 facelift models are likely. Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  6. It was an addition with the model upgrade in 2014 - my premier delivered 31/3/14 had one so yours should - hope you enjoy as much as I do Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  7. The door label says 32 or 35 depending on speed - I think you'd be ok a little higher but definitely not lower Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  8. Hi I've got 16's as standard from new. Lexus had not deflated them from the shipping pressure so I lowered them to ...... I need to go to the car and look at the plate on the door Some of the websites suggest a little over inflation reduces full consumption by lowering rolling resistance or some such I'll post again shortly Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  9. Absolutely agree - the camera is very useful - important to remember to keep it clean especially at this time of year Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  10. But that's how I do it - button on steering wheel and voice act - don't touch the phone at all Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  11. I drove both 16's and 17's and the 16's are a better ride - consider adding the rear load cill protector - Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  12. I too have no blue tooth issues and with my iPhone I can voice call contacts with comparative ease - my accent not the phone being issue Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC

    Mpg

You will get it at that level of daily mileage if you keep sub 70 - what kills it is high speed, heavy acceleration and most of all short journeys where it fails to warm up - why they don't provide an engine temp gauge ?? What it seems to love is a roads averaging 50-60 over a long distance - introduce traffic, roundabouts lights hills etc and down goes mpg Now at 9000 from new and about 48mpg and that includes a huge amount of very short daily commute - reasonably happy with the mpg but very happy with the features comfort ride quality and handling Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  14. Defaulting to blank with word set is usual if fitted standard but then it reverts Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  15. I have a 2014 premier registered March 14 - passenger seat is electric forward and back and seat back angle up and down - there is no up and down height adjustment of seat squab which is only on the driver side together with the in and out lumbar adjustment on driver side only Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  16. Check out the paint under the trailing edge of each door - despite being careful both of mine have been scrapped they drag especially on adverse camber when full opened fully - I've retouched mine but they could be rust spots - other than that no issues here. 17. If you take a direct feed from the battery don't overlook to fuse it Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  18. I drive a 2014 premier and am very happy with the headlights both dipped and full - I think they're led low and hid high but I'm no techie - suffice to say it hasn't been an issue since I got it in March. You might like to park a bit away from a garage door and see if there's any unusual patterns Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  19. That's v impressive Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  20. All interesting but I wouldn't want to machine polish a car that had not been clayed. The removal of impurities by clay ensures there's no abrasive particles to be polished into the paint. The lexus paint seems quite soft - it's supposedly self repairing - and whatever care steps are taken will contribute to long term good looks. Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  21. My son's method is snow foam (apparently fairy liq is a no no) clay with lubricant , snow foam again , rinse, dry first with a silicon blade then cloth, then (and I don't know which order) wax and polish Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  22. Claying and wax and polish certainly makes a big difference - my son's hard work earlier this year brought this post. Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  23. Good call - I'm sure you'll enjoy it very much Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  24. Mine to at that level 17.14 a month based on a new premier in April 14 and 10000 miles pa Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  25. The NX is flying out 10000 last month across Europe - but bear in mind it's base model is the virtually same price as premium ct and the premium NX is 10k more - the NX mpg is in the 50's so real world will be much less than that and the emissions are well over 100 so car tax will feature I think - but is does look good :) Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
