    monster posted a topic in Aristo Club

    Hi, Never drove an auto before the Aristo and not got a handbook/manual so just wondered if anyone can tell me what the M, 2, and L mean on the gear lever of the auto? Also what gear I'd need to put it in to use the tiptronic? And would I need to put it into one of these gears to get the cruise control to work...or it's broken Thanks guys! :D Miles

    There's a guy on the Toyota import forum called Luke who should be able to give you a bit of help regarding the stereo. He's menat to be the best in business at this type of thing but unfortunately for me lives in Bournemoth. Been meaning to ask a couple of questions to any Aristo owners anyway, but have you got a red switch inside your glovebox - what does it do? Have you got a greenish switch on the bottom right of the steering column - what does it do? And does your cruise control work? You'll have to post some piccies, I'll do the same when the weather gets nice and I can give it a little clean. :D

    Snap! It's an amazing drive isn't it? :D :D Been looking myself for a handbook without much success. There doesn't appear to be too much info on here regarding the Aristo mark ii in general but a lot of help can be got from the supra mark iv forum and GS300/400/430 section on Clublexus forum. If you do come across a handbook please give us a shout. Miles

    Hi, Is there any kind LOC member out there who could possibly borrow me their GS300/430 handbook so I can photocopy it? I'll only need for a couple of days and then will send it back in exactly the same condition it arrived by recorded delivery. Or, if you don't want to part with it, even scan it/photocopy it themselves and send me a copy. I'd be extremely grateful and may even buy them a bag of sweeties for there trouble!     I know it sounds stupid but have you tried putting the disc in upside down? Sounds similar to the problem I had on my Aristo but then got told that the laser is at the top so reads the disc upside down. Give it a try and let us know how you get on - Edit - don't blame me if it f+cks up your cd's/cd player though. :) :) Miles

    If it's the same as the Aristo the Japanese sat nav unit will not work over here....not even with an English disc. Ta, Miles

    Rematch must definitely be on the cards. It will be in the US and a big pay out for Joe. Make no mistake about it this will be a massive fight over there and Lacy will still be a big draw even if though he's lost his belt. I can imagine that would be an even better fight!!!

    Great display! Seen that Lacy fight quite a few times in the last couple of years and he wasn't all hype but big Joe destroyed him. Joes always been awesome just never been recognised for his talent and had problems with his left hand. He's not a big head either!

    Thanks Colin. Any idea if these are then different to the Aristo footwell? Do the GS300 + GS430 have accelerator pedal floor mounted rather than suspended (sorry if this is a stupid question but never driven a GS300 or GS430 )? Any chance anyone could take a quick snap of their drivers car mat so I could see if there is any difference with mine? Thanks again, Miles

    Hi, I bought some lexus car mats. 2 sets, in grey and beige. They've got lexus written on them, come on lexus hangers with fittings and are absolute quality (similar to the ones I had in the IS200). They were advertised as GS430 mats so thought I'd try them in the Aristo. They fit except for being ever slightly too large in the drivers side which I can live with. Gonna sell a set but need to know how to advertise them. Does anyone know if there are any differences in the drivers footwell between the GS300, GS430 and Aristo? Thanks, Miles

    Just tried your method Brettster and didn't have any success. Is yours multi CD and touch screen? If so, when the Cd is playing does the slot indicator flash green then blue constantly? Cheers, Miles

    Thanks Chips! The sound is fine from the radio. There's just no indication of if it is playing or not. Cos all the options are in japanese I don't even know if it's just a matter of pressing the play button. Has anyone with a mark ii Aristo had a similar problem or even just got a CD to play?     Discount would be nice mate! :D There are some after market ones popping up all the time on ebay.com that you can buy from the US, but I couldn't vouch for fitting or quality.

    Hi, When I put a CD in the multichanger the EMV recognises that a disc is inserted into the correct slot and flashes between a relevant numbered symbol blue and green. I can hear the disc being accessed but can't seem to get it to play. I'm sure it's something simple and staring me in the face but I've tried pressing every button and touching everything on screen and nothing happens. Can anyone please help as I'm getting Kanye West withdrawal symptoms! :D Thanks, Miles

    Nice one, I'll give the cruise control a go tomorrow, can't be too difficult. Do you use it much or is it not really worth it?
