  1. Thanks Mike. I noticed that TTE have a couple of bits that I'm interested in. Any idea if you would buy these through lexus or direct from TTE? Cheers.
  2. Hi, Has anyone got a list of styling parts and prices available for the GS300/430 through Lexus? Is there anything similar to the TTE/TRD bits and bobs which you can get for the IS? Really looking at a front lip/bumper and sports type grille. Ta, Miles
  3. Got a bit of a dilema now. Was only gonna pay the RAC £156 minimum check to spot anything major, however, as it's an import this check is not available. I can have the same check for £360 The AA won't do the check at all on an import car but directed me to Insitute of auto engineers or something. Now it seems that these are mechanics who sit exams and get certain recognised qualifications. However, if something is missed and does go wrong then I don't think there'll be any form of compensation cover Do you think that I could pay a mechanic from a garage to perform the same job? Ta, Miles
  4. Hello to an ex scouser from an adopted one! Don't think you'll ever be an "ex" as it always keep a twang in your voice mate! Great stuff! :D Thanks for the comments guys. Did they check much that you wouldn't have known how to check or probably would have missed? Ta, Miles
  5. Just a quick one :P Has anyone ever bought one of these inspection checks before buying a used car? I can look for obvious stuff myself on body panels and that, but wouldn't have a clue if something mechanically was on it's way out. Do you think they would be worth it considering paying about £135 could save me a fortune in the future, and they're insured should anything be missed. Any thoughts? Thanks, Miles

    My New Car

That's one nice motor. The exhausts look very aggressive and funnily enough spotted wheels similar to those on an american site today. By far the best wheels I've seen on the Aristo so far....and look quite easy to clean too! :P
  7. These cars are getting far too common! :P
  8. Cheers Man! That's some more great info! :D Got the Pm and got in touch with Luke. Realistically say I wanted to spend about 3K how much extra HP could I be looking at. See I'm just trying to compare this with the IS (which does seem very limited), cos when I get bored with a car I look to modding to prolong my interest. Thanks, Miles
  9. That is spot on mate!!! :) Any idea of the cost involved with the tv conversion? It's something that's in my plans if I get one. Do you know at what milage the cambelt/timing belt changes are required? And lastly what are the best mods for this car and approx value? Thanks again. Miles
  10. Gonna go looking at a mark ii Aristo V300 tomorrow. What do you guys think about trading in the IS200 S/c for a V300? Do you think there will be a noticeable different in performance? What will i miss from the IS200 and has anyone done this? Also has anyone got any advice on what problem to look out for with this model? And how to spot them. Can be a little impulsive so definitely do not want to walk away with a lemon. Searched already and it seems the turbos blowing may be a problem - how would I notice this without comparing performance? Was there any type of face lift models and what extra equipment were on these? Also I presume any satnav/screen will be in Japanese is there any way to convert this? bHas anyone done this and how much would it cost? Sorry for the bombardment of questions, but thought I'd ask the experts and anyone else for their opinion. :duh: Cheers, Miles
  11. Did you drive the Aristo Seagram? What was it like with the additional mods added? Check out Parkers or even autotrader for a rough idea of price.
  12. I change my mind every day on music. Latest track to get me going is War from the Rocky Soundtrack. Flippin' class! :D
  13. As the Aristo is a Japanese car only would this be serviced at Lexus or Toyota? And would this be at a greater cost that a GS300? Also would the parts be covered as a mix Supra parts and GS300 parts, or are there any that would be specific to the Aristo and would be difficult to source/buy due to the cars origins? Nice one :D
  14. That's a shame as it's a very nice looking motor, you should keep both What type of ball park figure would you be selling it for?
  15. Good stuff mate. Very nice car by the looks of things and had some tuning done as well. You'll have to let me know how it drives.
  16. Hi, where abouts have you seen the Aristo as I'm also umming and ahhing over getting one and that seems a reasonable price? For info on the Aristo check out www.lexusvertex.com For info on the GS300 Sport I'd check out www.parkers.co.uk I'm sure the technical bods will be about soon to bombard you with facts and figures :D
  17. That's got to be the sexiest Lexus I've ever seen!!! Awesome!
  18. From just seeing pictures of this car and of the monster, as aposed to seeing them in the metal, I think the monster looks a lot better overall. It just seems to have the right packag! If you know what I mean. ;)
