  1. Thanks very much mate. I'm talking to the garage over the phone so it's a but difficult. Could you point out the wires from the ecu going into the car so I could explain it a bit easier to the garage...i'm not very good at these things. Cheers, Miles
  2. Have a good un fellow Red. :D
  3. Hi, The garage still can't match the diagram from tte to the car itself. The diagram has 3 rows of pins on block E6 but the car only has 2 rows. The diagram shows the black wire going to pin 21 but obviously the pins aren't the same if there's only 2 rows on the car. Can anyone help with a speedy reply or take us a picture of where their wires are entering the pins on the actual car that would be great. It's doing my head in. Thanks, Miles
  4. I think you had to stick another cd in about 1cm then press eject if memory serves me correctly....don't quote me on that though! :D :D :D
  5. Thanks Rob got it! Looks like the garage is closed so I'll pass the info on on Monday. If they've got anymore questions I'll give you a shout mate. Hopefully they'll have it fixed by then cos it's dragging on now.
  6. The diagram supplied has the wires going into the ECU from 5 E blocks (2,3,4,5,6) however when the garage is looking in the car there is only 4 E blocks. If you can PM your email address I'll send you the diagram they supplied. Can you help mate?
  7. The wiring diagram sent by TTE doesn't corrolate with the atcual ecu that is on my car/has been sent. Could anyone help me out with info on what wire connects to which block and pin number so I can eventually get my car back? Cheers, Miles
  8. I had mine done at TDI North in Warrington and Paul did an excellent job fitting it. Took his time and ensured it was perfect - wouldn't give the car back until he was 100% happy with it. Both TDI (mark) and Prolex (dave) offered excellent prices and were very helpful. Where abouts in the Nort West are you?
  9. The actual supercharger doesn't make that much extra noise (if any). I believe it's if you attach the iduction kit to it...then your ears bleed! :D
  10. ....makes it a totally different car mate. Million times better with a supercharger! :D :D
  11. It's definitely something I may consider, however this ecu is brand new so shouldn't cause any problems. There's a possibility I might be changing the car in the near future so I'll see how it goes before spending any more money on it.
  12. It ended up being a mistake :( They sent out the silver one when they should have sent out the black one. They've asked for it back and the black ones getting sent today.
  13. Hi Zee, I've currently got it set up for the black one, and I've been sent the silver upgrade. Would this need new wires or can I use the existing ones? Cheers, Miles
  14. The top guys at TTE have sent me a replacement silver ecu. There are no wires with it which I presume is normal. However I don't want the garage to wire it up incorrectly so can someone send me the wiring diagram for this or tell me which wires connect where. The quicker I can pass this info on the quicker I can get my car back. :D :D :D Any help from them who have fitted the silver eu would be greatly appeciated. Nice one, Miles
  15. @ Gord - how easy is it to take off the ecu and also is there anything else you need to do to take the supercharger out of the equation? @ Matt I've only charged it and added an exhaust nothing else to the engine. To be honest the mechanic asked me how old the S/C was and said he'd start with the basics. He said it looked as if someone previously has been fiddleing with the fuel filter and the crack in the housing was causing a lose of pressure but didn't know if this was the cause. He's run it through a diagniostic and got faults on the following:MAS, MAP and TAC. Don't know if this is revelant to the problem or not. Any ideas? Ta, Miles
  16. Is this part of the fuel pump or ecu/electrics of the engine? If electrics where abouts is it located? thanks!
  17. Right..... they've changed the fuel filter and pump this morning and got the pressure up to standard. They've also had it running for 3-4 mins before it cuts out. They're now looking at the electrical side of things and the piggy back ecu to see if that's the problem.
  18. I did the same a couple of months ago. It was the first time I'd tried ultimax. Got a an address to complain and everything...20 mins later the guage moved up. Made a fool outta me!!
  19. I'm sure you'll be fit again soon mate...stay positive!!!
  20. Right here goes mate....... From my understanding the garage has swapped the fuel filter which was blocked and are in the process of replacing the fuel pump which had a cracked housing. The pump apparent costs £360 from Toyota so I'm getting a second hand one for £140 which needs to be posted. All fuel lines are clear so hoping that this is the reason for no pressure to the engine rather than anything else not found. Still going to add up to some much needed Xmas dosh :( Also got me thinking about whether to sell up or not as I wouldn't want the car to go again with a little un on the way....and it's already been around the planet a couple of times!
  21. Just got it into the garage now. Hopefully it won't be anything too serious....and with water coming from the exhaust it does sound like the fuel filter. The guy at the garage said that they don't usually replace them so it could be a possibility. Anyways I'll let you all know when I find out. Cheers for all the help!! :) Ta Miles
  22. I do normally let the fuel get just above the red light before filling up so could this be the prob? If it is the fuel filter how easy a fix is it? Where is it located? Any idea how much this would cost to replace? Could it be a diy job for someone with no experience? Nice one guys!!! Hopefully it won't be the ECU as it fairly new, but I do tend to gun it upto the required speed limit!
  23. Hope not...he said the belts looked fine and I only got this done when the charger was fitted 8 months ago.
