  1. Yeah, Lexxy's right about the gay scene! It's not my thang, but other right/wrong attractions in Brighton could include : a quickie in the Queens Head (with a picture of Freddie Mercury on the sign!) or a cruise round Kemp Town (known as Camp Town to Brightonites) or a trip up the Devils Dyke!!!!!!!
  2. Chris, yep, I'm from Brighton! I now live about 15 miles away. Places to visit? Depends what you're after I guess - Lexus Brighton maybe?! In town there's loads of decent pubs and places to eat, the pier, shops, Brighton Marina, Pavilion etc. Out of town there's some decent countryside if you prefer the fresh air - the South Downs, Cuckmere Haven, pretty villages and so on. When you get your passport stamped give us a shout if you need more info!
  3. Gutted for you mate. I can't imagine how f**ked off you are - I know how I felt when some brainless loser kicked off my mirror, no comparison to what you've suffered. I just hope your luck changes for the better and that they're caught AND punished.
  4. An extra p? You're right. S'pose that's what happens after a few pints. Good idea tho Scarface.
  5. Very sad news mate, condolences to your family. Sadly our family suffered a similar loss earlier this year so I can empathise with you.
  6. If it's any comfort I've done 120,000 miles in my IS from new and it's still going strong and compares well to the (much newer) courtesy cars. I expect it will last me until the new IS is available!
  7. I had a similar problem after having a windscreen replaced. Took it back to Autoglass who rebonded the screen (free of charge) - apparently when it was originally replaced there wasn't enough bonding glue used, hence a litlle leak. If you can't sort it yourself it may be worth getting the screen replaced under your insurance? Most policies would cover it with only a small excess. Good luck!
  8. I've worked in Bracknell since getting my Granite Sky IS, but it's pretty std. Got the LOC stickers on display tho! Always on the lookout for other LOC'ers, but not spotted any yet!
  9. 10 Must be time for my afternoon nap....
  10. Ah-ha, thanks Colin - I got the wrong exchange rate between "movements" and "ways" and completely overlooked the headrest movements! Having seen numerous posts from you before, I did think it odd that I could answer a Lexus related query where you were apparently stumped. Glad I did tho, 'cos I'm better informed now! Cheers!
  11. Colin, I guess the 8 way adjustment is determined by : Whole seat moves backwards/forwards (2 ways) Backrest moves backwards/forwards (2 ways) The front of the seat base adjusts up/down (2 ways) The back of the seat base adjusts up/down (2 ways) That's how it works in the IS, but I've never been in an LS to compare!
  12. Interesting, but I'm happy to say it doesn't match at all with what I've experienced with my IS 200 SE auto! The only common ground is having the CD player replaced (yep, ERR 3!) - but that was handled efficiently and free of charge under warranty. At the end of the day any car could will develop a fault and the difference is how the manufacturer deals with it. I can't help but wonder - if he disliked it so much why did he keep it for 2 years?!
  13. Yep - apart from the Dutch market! Actually, my boot sometimes doesn't open, but seems to work better after washing the car.
  14. If you park facing downhill then it'll open all the way! ;)
  15. Steve, you should've got my c/q's ages ago, but let me know if not. Cheers matey and another "well done" to the Red Baron! Paul
  16. Matey, just been to see my optician as it happens and we had a chat about this! My specs have an anti-glare coating on the lens and they recommend cleaning them with lukewarm water and special spec cleaner (that they happen to sell!) and a soft cloth. They stressed NOT to use soap or detergent 'cos it causes the coating to break down. I dunno about reapplying the coating, but I've just had to order some new lenses (probably because I used to use detergent to clean 'em - doh!). Paul
