  1. Not the same one then, it was only recently. Enjoy it :)
  2. Steve, how did you find them as they are my nearest dealers? Bet they don't see many IS-Fs!
  3. Wondering about the service plan if the stealers are becoming less receptive to a bit of haggling.
  4. Congrats, best colour if you have the time to keep it clean, get some better pics up ;) One question though, how long did the previous owner have it? As the reg is very similar to one that was advertised by a trader a little while ago, when I saw the car you eventually bought on sale privately on Autotrader I thought is that the same car? I may well be wrong though.
  5. Very nice Peter, you didn't mention my favourite of your mods (I know you have a separate thread about it though) - the FBMFSW :)
  6. I don't have that exclusion in my paperwork. From what I can gather, there are two approved used warranties, a manufacturer's equivalent (almost like, but not the same as, that provided with a new car) and the 5+ for older vehicles. Although my car was six years old when I bought it in July I have the former. The two year extension which starts when that runs out is also the former.
  7. Looks stunning, the first photo really shows off the pearl in the paint.
  8. Thanks - confirms my understanding of the feature :)
  9. Hello and welcome :) I'm new too having bought an ISF last month but there is another member from Cheshire on here (I may be wrong but his might be red too) - we now have enough local members for a mini meet ;)
  10. Who are you insured with if you don't mind me asking Dave? I didn't think any i surers offered track day cover as standard!
  11. Awesome, thanks for the track day clips, if anyone has anymore please post them up :)
  12. Half the photos are cropped off - is it my resolution or do I need to re-size them? ETA: Resizing them now...
  13. Hi Kevin - how was it on track days and how did it compare to the usual track day suspects? Thanks for all the replies everyone. Here are a few pics, no comments about my (lack of) photography skills please ;)
  14. I will try that over the weekend Dave. Dealer has confirmed new OEM pads and discs were fitted by Lexus in Feb this year, the car has done 3,000 miles since then. Also confirmed pad wear was 30% front and 20% rear at inspection/service immediately prior to me purchasing. Looks like nothing major to worry about, other than the irritation. I'm going to try what Dave suggested to see if it improves things. The noise does reduce once they are warmed up.
  15. Agreed Peter, I would normally rather put the cash towards a fund for servicing, repairs etc the two years for the price of one offer swayed me.
  16. I think the motion sensor is disabled by the 'satellite switch' by the steering wheel. See section 1.6 It's on page 81 of my early manual. It says don't use this function when leaving people in the car for obvious reasons. I would prefer it if it deadlocked/double locked as default and the second press disabled it for when leaving people in the car.
  17. I've pm'd the previous owner to ask and will also check with the dealer. Everything else seems to have been done by the main dealer so I hope the pads are OEM too. Either way, I'll get it sorted :) Looking forward to a nice long drive in it over the weekend.
  18. Does anybody use this function? Apparently, you need to press the lock button a second time within 2.5 seconds of locking the car. Or do UK cars not have this? I can hear the central locking motor doing something when I press the button a second time. If a window was broken to gain access the door still cannot be unlocked from the inside so there is a security benefit I guess.
  19. Hi Stuart, yes it was a nice surprise for me too!
  20. Thanks Peter. Nothing planned in the short term although I would consider the H & S rear exhaust mod later on. I see you have made some very nice improvements to yours :)
  21. Hi Peter, I will take a look tomorrow. No vibrations though, the brakes and pads were replaced recently and are good condition. Hopefully an easy fix. Thanks for the warm welcome everyone :)
