  1. Issue then... How to fix what to look for. Tyres inflated to 40 psi and 18"
  2. Not happy with mine then... I wonder if something is wrong. Its harder than Mazda (hydrolic) Corsa and Merc (electric) that I have driven so far. It is uncomfortable. What to look for ... where to start from..
  3. Has anyone noticed that lexus is250 steering is too hard to turn when compared to any other car?
  4. How can I know which body shop is the best? I am not in London but am up north. Just not disclosing it here.
  5. Won't mind to pay 200 for a perfect job but will they blend it in? I think it will cost more than 200 and that worries me. Dealers are closed today so can't get a quote.
  6. Someone hit my car and there are scratches on the fender. I can see the primer... Can it be fixed without a complete spray?
  7. This is very required option. One uses it to remove old layer from thr tyre to bring the fresh one out. :)
  8. Try this guys, Get insurance quote. Put down a speeding fine in there. See what happens :) Tip: if you want to take revenge from someone (your ex or your boss), this will keep them busy for a while :)
  9. 786 pointed out just tip of the ice burgh. I had shared my last experience here. It was terrible. But summary is, soon as you do the search they keep the records and if you e.g. thought of 50 group insurance but just out of curiosity, they will file it. Now you are a potential 50 group owner and the risk can and will apply to you. This increases your insurance cost. I know it because I have been caught once. The simple search is more than a search. It took me a lot of effort to clear it and the person at other end advised out of records, never to use own details for curiosity. Insurance is a scam in my opinion.
  10. hmm... My last experience with trying out a quote was very bad... If one tries to get a quote on their name, that record is held against them... So I wanted to avoid it... I guess I should use a fake name and a fake reg, fake post code etc?
  11. Does anyone have an idea of how much insurance will cost for a group 50 car? Just a rough idea?
  12. Well, its the type of valve that doesn't like metal. I think it is galvanic corrosion. I bought these front caps from Lexus as kwikfit kept the orignals and used palstic. Maybe they knew metal will cause problems. I see now why one would always use dealer for tyres and anything else and aviod indy or kwikfit. I have not seen any problem with lexus fitted tyres on the back. The valve stem looks different. I had been using copper grease but I think water makes its way.
  13. Thanks. Tried that as well. With mix of all above and then used wise grips and nose pliar broke it free. Now why is this only happening on the fronts after kwikfit valves and tyres and doesn't happen in the back? I cannot apply grease every week...
  14. Ever since I have replaced tyres by kwikfit, the front ones, I had noticed corrosion in the cap. I used to check air regularly so used to use copper grease. Being busy for a month, didn't do this now one of the cap is seized. How do I unseize it? I tried hot water, wd40 and used a 10mm ratchet but it won't move.
  15. Try castrol's website. Navigate to oil selector option and put your car reg in there. It will tell you which oil to use.
  16. I would call it gimmick. It is like remove top coat from your car body work and then applying some wax to protect.
  17. Also damp cloth is bad for leather. The paint on leather is also water based. To prove it, take some damp cloth and rub it on the seat. Rub it a few times and you will see the leather cleaning. Check the cloth and you will see paint on it. At this point you have already ruined the paint job. That's how low quality paint is on the lexus. Newer might be better... Don't know.
  18. Guys you will ruin the leather with harsh chemicals. The top clear coat is very easy to rub off which makes the leather look cleaner but in long term there is no protection. Hence auto glym and other expensive products seem not to work. If you really want to see the difference and want to rub of the top coat, use some detergent or soap. And if you want to the really protect it, spray the clear top coat.
  19. Have a stone chip on one of my car. It was repaired by Autoglass. Always wonder how long will it keep? I don't have windscreen insurance and neither want to claim any to damage my records...
  20. When you guys do a full lock steering wheel? Does it come back to its place when you start to drive?
  21. Can you check thread on both tyres ? I have a theory that the tyre might have excess wear on the side opposite to the failing shockabsorber.
  22. urgg... I went with Michelin last night. Price was too low so got concerned. National tyres listed them mid range. I had Khumo tyres and they are bald after 7000 miles. So I am staying away from mid range now... But if they were premium...
