  1. Don't know your particular model but it sounds as if the shift lock mechanism is kicking in when it should not. It is to stop you shifting out of park without your foot on the brake. If you have your foot on the brake does that help? Some models also have a manual shift lock over ride switch - try that.
  2. My only concern would be that it was just on one side. The air con discharges water on both sides, and it can be quite a lot, but if you were stopped on a slope that would explain it. The position you say is about right.
  3. My LS400 has only done 40K and is sagging too. I am taking it up with Lexus. Initial answer is well upholstery is not covered by warranty but my view is under sale of goods act it must be fit for the purpose it is intended. A car at this price should have a sagging seat at 100K let alone 40K. If any one else has taken this up keep us posted . I will let you know how I get on. My dealer now has new foam for the seat and the car is booked in next month when I get back from holiday. I thought it a bit risky having it done before I go as the dealer says they have never done anything like this before and don't quite know how long it will take nor I suspect how to do it. I hold my breath.
  4. My mate had it on his Audi TT. He's a real car freak who has to have every thing immaculate and his car always looks superb. BUT the supaguard was a real pain when he had to have a small repair done if the coating is not removed properly you get finger prints etc in the coating. He's just getting a new car from audi after they could not after 4 attempts get the finish right again! And yes he still polishes and waxes it every week!
  5. Would have been good to be there but I shall be at the Game Fair in Hampshire that weekend - I got an offer of tickets in the grandstand for Lords too on Saturday! It all comes at once!
  6. Another one not in IT! I'm a partner in a firm of accountants based in Oxfordshire. I'm also a qualified arbitrator so when you lot start arguing???http://www.critchleys.co.uk/lit.html
  7. Reeeeeally old. The LS has everything? Why can't I find the slot for my 8 track!
  8. When you're as old as me you remember driving all sorts of cars but the highlights must be: I had a series of XJS, still got one rusting away on the drive, - they were about the only thing as quiet and quick as my LS. I had one of the first Golf GTi's in the country back in 1979 and that was great cause no one expected a little hatchback to go that quick - didn't even have alloy wheels and only a 4 speed box. Q-cars are great and have built a few over the years but the best was a mark 2 escort with a 3litre cosworth v8! v.quick but worse than the XJS's for petrol stations! Best memory though is the old Metro 6R4 I know it held the world record for fastest 0-100-0 for years - on the road they were incredible off the road even better. A mate of mine used to build then up for rally cross but also built one for some Arab complete with white leather interior, airconditioning and electric everything - you still could not hear the radio over the engine though!
  9. Lexus customer care agreed having spoken to the dealer and they are just agreeing what is best to be done about it.:saint:
  10. I talked to my dealer about cd's and the sat nav. I was trying to find out who's data they used for the sat nav and the workshop manager told me that the dics just have lexus plastered all over them and he had had many ocassions when he had had to remove discs that had been burnt cause they jammed in the drive. His advice is only use the genuine and from past experience if he knows of an alternative he will freely tell you.
  11. I am after a cd for France (and Spain but I am told their isn't one) but I dont like the idea of shelling out nearly £160 per disc. Does anyone know a cheaper source? You mention about hiring them from Lexus - who do I talk too? My dealer does not Know.
