  1. Issue is the cabin is cold, the air coming out of the vents isn't particularly warm.
  2. Hi all, Thank you for your responses. I took a few photos today but they all came out blury! More tomorrow I think. @Thackeray - What I mean is that the temperature gauge for the engine gets up to temperature (middle of the gauge) fairly quickly. This morning the outside temperature was 0, and on the way home it was 11. It did feel a little warmer in the cabin, but i'm not sure if that was just me. The main reason I'm asking is that I have read on some of the newer cars (especially electric) the heat pump heaters are not that great in the depths of winter, in that they don't go anywhere near as hot as a conventional engine radiator would, therefore I was wondering if this was the same for the hybrid system. My first IS250 was awesome, it would heat up quickly and If I put it up anywhere close to 23, it was like having a furnace on the go. My wife's Tiguan is the same, when set at 24 the air coming out of the vents is very hot. There's only four settings in the climate control: Dual - SET TO OFF A/C - SET TO OFF S Flow - SET TO ON (I thought this would pull more heat to the front) Polen Filter - SET TO OFF
  3. @royoftherovers I haven't informed them, I was just wondering what others thought about it. My IS250 was different, so I was just wondering what experience people had. @DanD - It's interesting you are finding that. I have turned the mode to manual as I find the car mists up, therefore I have the windscreen and footwell mode on.
  4. @royoftherovers easier said than done. The dealer is 200 miles away, my nearest dealer is 50 miles, i've already been in once this month with the dodgey sensors 😪 I was just wondering if this is an 'NX' thing.
  5. Dear all, After getting rid of my beloved IS250, I have bought my 2018 NX. After four months of ownership this is the first cold snap we have had. Although on the test drive I thought the Air Con was not as Powerful as my IS (which was awesome) I put this down to just being a different car. The heating system is also 'weak'. The heated seats get lovely and warm, however the heater, doesn't really blow out piping warm air. My daily commute is only 15-20 minutes, but in that time, the car does get up to temperature quickly, however setting the temperature to 25 still renders luke warm air. I have turned off the rear vents using 's flow' and made sure I am in Normal driving mode rather than 'Eco' but these don't seem to do anything. Am I missing any other setting somewhere? The heated seats and steering wheel are lovely, with the seats being much warmer than the IS, its just the heating system feels underpowered for the size of car.
  6. ANy idea why the Mark Levinson is not available on the top spec 450h?
  7. update - The car has been returned. Cardiff said that there was a software update available, therefore they did it. I didn't have any paper work accompanying when the car was returned. I hope this does solve the problem.
  8. No. The car is just over 3 months old (bought approved used) and has a full Lexus warranty. If it was out of warranty, then i'd consider doing it.
  9. My 3 year old (68 plate) NX is going into Cardiff this week. It was in for a service at the end of October when a message appeared telling me that the parking system was unavailable. Cardiff stated that no log was triggered and I should be fine. One day after the service and we were driving on the motorway, the fault appeared again. Turned the car off and back on (when we were in a services) and wiped the sensor and the fault disappeared, however twice in one week it appeared when I pulled off my drive. I hate the phrase 'common fault', as in my mind if it's common, the manufacturer should be doing something about it, not waiting. I spoke with Lexus Cardiff to book it in, they said that it could need a software update; I don't think it's software, rather hardware related as it always seems to happen to the same sensor (middle left) and only happens when it's wet/ damp/ been raining.
  10. That looks very nice, I prefer it to the Ioniq 5. What's it like to drive?
  11. This is such a strange thing for them to forgo. You'd think a premium car would have a premium sound system.
  12. Dear all, Soon, I will be the owner of an NX. When I bought my IS they gave me a lovely leather bound file to put my service documents and associated paperwork. Do the NX still have these? Also, with the IS, there was an accessory kit which consisted of a few tools etc, is this the same with the NX? thanks in advance.
  13. Unfortunately, it's one of those things, without proof you have no way of knowing. Many years ago I took my Passat to have discs and pads done. I picked the car up, took it home. Later on that day I noticed a large scratch on the passenger side bumper which had been touched up with silver paint. When I returned to the garage, they said they would investigate, but ultimately, it was my word against theirs. Luckily, a young mechanic admitted that he had scuffed it earlier, but it was 'alright as he used touch up paint'. Needless to say, the garage were apologetic and sorted it.
  14. Is it worth ripping out the loom of your working car, to put something in, which may or may not work for the sake of a larger screen? Only you can answer that, but if it was me, I would look at selling the larger screen on eBay, along with any other bits, and put the proceeds towards one of those Android head units.
  15. I’m pretty sure they Sid. I remember having an early NX in loan and then a newer shape and distinctly remember feeling it was less ‘drones’ when pushed.
  16. it might fit, will it work is another matter. Recently, whilst browsing on AutoTrader I did see a 2014 NX with a larger screen. I don't think it was the official Lexus one, rather an Android clone. Have you taken the screen off to look at the connections?
  17. Ahh makes sense. One was a van, one was a 4x4 type car (not sure which one as the photo only showed underneath the others were Volvo and Ford.
  18. From the Lexus blog / website, they state that any car with a Cat is at risk. Specifically they mention the RX400h, RX450h and the CT200h.
  19. Thank you all. It's just so annoying that this cannot be stopped. Locally, five have been stolen within the last month or so.
  20. What’s different about it? Is it harder to get at? Is the cat less visible?
