  1. Killing time waiting for my the RCF to have the fuel pump recall work done, so I thought I’d start a quiz called “Spot the Lexus and name the model”. When it’s your turn to be bored waiting for your pumps to be replaced, feel free to contribute to the thread. Here’s an easy one -
  2. I’d have given £15k after an extensive (and satisfactory) test drive. 😜 @Warrington guy, you see, my flippant post will prevent anyone else complaining about why you didn’t sell it on the forum! 😀
  3. It annoys me. Why didn’t the owner offer it to forum members?
  4. Cheltenham are bumping some customers up the list. Yipeeeeee. Friday
  5. Very good question. In the IS-F it was a case of 'Look - somebody is looking at the car'. In the RC-F it's a case of 'Ooooo, that person isn't looking at the car'. I think mainly good attention. Kids will video the car, people will slow down on the motorway and on the rare occasion that I park up in a busy place, people will engage in conversation about the car. I suspect that a lot of the looks are along the lines of 'What is that!?' - in a positive way! Boxster is a great car. Like my RC-F my Boxster was a second car, so it was a special occasion every time I drove it. The engine in the Boxster was great - especially when it came on song and made that special noise (which I can't describe). F cars are totally different beasts to a Boxster. The V8 is central to the package. You'll get refinement and performance in one package. You'll also get utterly ridiculous reliability - no RMS or bore scoring issues. Stuff like that is unheard of. In the RC-F the car will get the recognition that ALL F cars deserve. Finally, you won't see many on the roads!
  6. Great shot, but a bit WRX for me. The RC-F shouldn't be doing jumps!!!
  7. Still haven't touched a camera since my last wedding in October. My kit hasn't moved since I got home that night.
  8. I understand that. Just as a warning (from an x Boster S owner), the RC-F (carbon, or indeed the base model ) will generate lots more attention than the Boxster.
  9. Don’t forget TVD is configurable. I was recently told by a much more talented driver than I, that in race mode, when pushed, the rear is very loose. As for having fun at low speeds, all F cars fall short - tricky diff or not.
  10. That was a bit boring actually Ratty. 😀
  11. When I was looking, TVD was a must. Only ever heard good things about it.
  12. ^ This. We already see IS-Fs with a mechanical LSD being more attractive to many buyers. Does the LSD make that much difference to the average driver..... does it heck. But, many will feel they have to have an LSD. Not sure. All I will say is that I've had a rolling drag with an RCF which had the (old fashioned entry level ) mechanical diff, and the results...... not bad
  13. @antspants welcome to the forum. I am going to be honest. From a pure driving perspective I don't know. You'd need to drive both back to back in an environment that would allow you to explore the two types of diff. I don't think any RC-F owner I know has been fortunate enough to carry out such an experiment. Until you get to speak to somebody who has - or manage it yourself, it's still an unanswered question.
  14. @ThebigC good luck with your new job. Great that you want to make Lexus Stoke the best Lexus dealer in the UK. I bought my car from Lexus Stoke and there’s definitely room for improvement. Anyway, exciting times for you 👍
  15. That's all I can see Paul!!!!! V O L V O Yummy!!!
  16. Bless her!!! The XC90 has been out in the snow today, Gets so much attention..................when opposite locked
  17. @C.B here she is https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=1&v=9LPX1ecGPEo The best sounding IS-F I've heard - and I've heard quite a few. As has already been said, the car is pretty much spotless. The only thing you might pick up on (from a point of negotiation) is the paintwork on the wings. @Mark G can tell you more.
