  1. Having driven both Hybrid and V8 LCs I would say that the V8 feels so much better to drive. The Hybrid might be quite fast but is super bland with no fast car noise or sensation.
  2. I have considered this point and have come to the conclusion that I will just keep my LC. 😀 A lot of the apparent competitors have various issues (as per above) and massive pricing. At least in the LC you can actually use it to pop out without worrying about reliability.
  3. All working OK on our new NX350h. The new app cannot register older cars as my LC was "unknown" on the system. I have reverted to the old Lexus Link for that car.
  4. When we picked up our new NX about a month ago, the tyres were all at about 2.8bar. The recommended pressure for general driving is 2.3bar. I told the Lexus dealer about this.
  5. We did not receive anything tangible to indicate that our brand new NX (registered end July 2023) has any Lexus Assist cover. When I queried this with Lexus Hedge End, the supplying dealer, they told me that membership cards or other documents are not now being issued. you just phone the number on the sticker in the windscreen for help. I would rather know that the cover is in operation via some route. Even an e-mail would be good.
  6. We had a NX300h for over 4 years and averaged a real (actual, not car computer) fuel consumption of 37mpg on mixed driving. The range was 32mpg on short winter journeys to 40mpg on longer warmer runs. This seems typical.
  7. Yes, I can see the problem with lack of contrast. The graphite wheels look fine on the Sonic White.
  8. Picked up our new NX350h Premium Plus with Pano Roof this afternoon. Sonic White with Dark Rose inside. Ordered May 2022 so about 15 months wait. One key (well one and a half) only and no locking wheel nuts/bolts. Everything else is just excellent.
  9. Our order (now built) from May 2022 was for the Premium Plus Pack and contains all the extras you list. The special paint was an extra cost. You could not get these goodies on the FWD model, only the AWD.
  10. The LC is such a rare car that I wonder why a thief would steal one as it would be very conspicuous. A hybrid as well so a very specific car. I assume a steal to order job going overseas but RHD limits the "market". I always have mine in the garage overnight and not on the drive.
  11. Thanks again for looking at this for me. I finally gave up with my usual Chrome browser. I opened up Edge and could download the manuals fine.
  12. Thanks for testing this out. However, I have just tried to download the manuals again with the same result - a spinning "wait" symbol. The site address I have used is https://www.lexus.co.uk/content/lexus/uk/en/customer/manuals Did you try via a different routing?
  13. At last our order for a NX350h Premium Plus Pack + Pano Roof has today moved into build. Expected delivery to us is about September. We will see if all the bells and whistles come with it. On a related subject, we have just tried to download the latest 2024 Model Owners and Navigation Manuals from the Lexus site and all we get is a rotating placeholder indefinitely. Is anyone else able to get these manuals?
  14. We ordered an NX350h P Plus Pack with Pano Roof in May 22 (so, pretty much the same spec as yours). Nothing showing on the Lexux Link App yet.
  15. We have the Dark Rose interior in our existing NX300h which we have had for 4 years. However, ours is leather and not Tahara. Unless they have changed the colour dramatically, it is a very nice dull red (not like the Flare on the F-Sport). We have ordered the same interior on our new NX350h (if it ever arrives!)
  16. We see the "runaway" in our NX under certain conditions. I must admit that I cannot see why the speed is not limited to the set maximum level.
  17. @Deb We have exactly the same picture as you. Our order for the NX350h P+Pack + Pano Roof was placed in May 22.
  18. IMO, as Lexus is a premium brand, the new NX should never have been offered with manual seats. I'm not even sure that a FWD version should be in the range. If you portray yourself as premium, the product spec. should reflect this.
  19. Agreed that they should have put the 360 degree camera on the original model. The long nose makes this pretty essential. Am I bothered about anything else? Not really.
  20. Am I right in thinking that all models of the convertible have leather seats?
  21. Yes, I have read this review which says more about Clarkson than it does about the car. However, the fact that the 12V battery was flat seems to indicate that the car had not been used much and I note it was delivered to him on a trailer. I agree that you cannot lock the doors if the keys are in the car so how he managed this is mysterious.
  22. When I purchased my LC (unbelievably, over 5 years ago), I test drove a few variants and went for the "lowest" model. I couldn't tell any real difference on the road with the rear wheel steering on the Sport + and I liked the glass roof more than the carbon fibre one. The wing was another unnecessary option for me as I don't track test the car and at normal road speeds I think it does little. Mine is also fitted with Bridgestone Turanza tyres rather than the very harsh Potenzas. I had Potenzas as the OEM fir on my previous Aston DB9 and was amazed at the improvement in ride when I changed to Michelin PS4s.
  23. Reference the seat bolster and wheel corrosion issues, I have the diamond cut 20 inch wheels on my LC500 and have none of the corrosion mentioned above. I also have leather (as opposed to Alcantara) seats which are different in design and do not show the bolster sagging.
  24. How does the writer answer the point that "everyone's got a Porsche"? If you walk past and go to the Porsche dealer they will ask if you are already an owner as they couldn't sell a new model to just anyone. Then there is the problem of the profusion of models. Does anyone know a GT2 from a GT3? 🙂
