  1. Fitment was fine, had the car up to high speeds and no vibration. Think they are 60.1mm as it’s a standard size and it’s a website issue. I didn’t notice I had a colour choice, silver is fine as it doesn’t stand out. I did see some black ones for one of the sizes but not the other and wanted them all to match.

  3. It’s early days for me but the change in track isn’t noticeable. I suppose changing both the front and rear the same amount would be best practice but in reality I’m not noticing it. If I was the first person doing it I’d be more cautious but so many people have now done it in America that I’m more relaxed about it now. I would certainly recommend the Eibach units, really good quality and do feel it’s worth spending the money on something that’s safety critical.
  4. Damn you’re fast! I’ve read from a couple of sources that the Eibach and H&R spacers are made at the same place, guess that’s why people like to use them.
  5. No, that’s why I went spacers. Quite like them, though I may get painted black. Still undecided as quite like the OEM+ look!

  7. Yea, it’s certainly a consideration though I probably wouldn’t have bought the RCF if I was that serious about all out performance. Not worried about it as I’m so irregularly pushing the car really hard. When I bought the car it’s styling and interior were high on the list and they still are. I’ve done the super light weight handling monster thing, after refinement, comfort and ‘feel’ now.
  8. All, Got a few mods going onto the car over the next month or so and thought I would put a thread tracking these for anyone that is interested. Todays post will be wheel spacers!! As many of you may be aware, the RCF OEM wheel offset does leave the wheels tucked into the arches by some way, particularly at the front. As its a relatively easy fix I decided to do a little research online and found a number of different people recommending spacers to fix the issue. Now, spacers can at times be a topic that creates quite polarizing views due to things like quality and reliability so did go into it with an open mind. Ultimately, I came to the conclusion that as long as they are engineered well and installed correctly, the chances of them failing are no greater than any other component of the car and as such, was happy to go ahead. Due to the aforementioned reliability issues some have experienced I decided that I wanted to go with either Eibach or H&R hubcentric bolt on spacers and so ordered the below at 20mm for the front and 15mm for the rear. Got them from https://www.autodoc.co.uk/spares-search?keyword=S90-4-15-009 and https://www.autodoc.co.uk/spares-search?keyword=S90-4-20-013 respectively on sale and paid around £180 for the lot. Arrived in around 10 days. I must say that the quality is second to none, really well made aluminum construction with what looks like an anodized finish. They bolted on really well and OEM wheels fitted without any fouling. Now they are on there is a noticeable difference in wheel position within the arch and stance is much improved. Please see below pics of after they were installed. The wheels fit flush with the arch and sit in what I would now consider the perfect position. Also doesn't look like lowering 30-35mm will cause any ill effects. Took around an hour to fit and test drive and really easy to do with only a few simple tools and a jack/axle stands required.   9. Yea I’m on there, though just tend to lurk and use it as a library rather than contribute. As with all forums, there is a lot of conflicting info however so just use it to inform my decisions.

Had a bit of a dig online at https://www.wheel-size.com/size/lexus/rc-f/2018/ and it seems that standard offsets for 19" RCF wheels are as below. 9Jx19 ET50 10Jx19 ET41 Adding spacers reduces offset so looks like I'm going to end up something around the below. Looking on the US forums this brings the wheel almost flush and allows for lowering on springs without rubbing. 9Jx19 ET30 10Jx19 ET26 I think the offset is the critical number when considering the position of the wheel relative to the hub and wheelarch, though the width of the rim will also play a part when it comes to rubbing etc.

  12. Interesting you mention this, my Eibach spacers arrived today so will be fitting them over the next few days. I’ve went +15mm rear and +20mm front so will have flush wheels when I fit the springs! Looks like it’s certainly doable with Swift Springs but guess time will tell. What offset are you running?
  13. I’ve ended up buying the Swift springs so will try to get a review of them done once they arrive and I go to fit them. ’He who dares,wins Rodney’ as they say!

  15. How has rear tyre wear been relative to the stock ride height? Any noticeable changes to inside wear or increased camber? I like the look of the swift springs as they seem to be the only ones specifically designed to be matched to standard shocks. I've still got a good few years of warranty to be had from Lexus so don't want to be needlessly damaging shocks then struggling to claim due to the springs. I have AVS too so cant imagine it would be cheap to buy a pair if they were to fail! Cant have my cake and eat it I suppose, soon as the car gets any mods its going to give Lexus an 'out'.
  16. Hi, although I’ve had the RCF for a relatively short period of time, I’ve already got a list of a few things I’m tackling to improve my ownership experience. One of these is ride height and more specifically wheel arch gap, particularly at the front. I’m currently looking at options to lower the car and can see that many use Swift springs in the US to achieve this? A see a few on here have also done it, what’s your recommendations? I don’t particularly want to change the ride much and am not after any performance so they aren’t a priority. I’m also looking to install wheel spacers, exhaust, window tints and de-chrome so may update a separate thread but just wanted to get thoughts before pulling the trigger on springs.
  17. I’m sure I read somewhere about it being used for track time or spirited driving. I’ll see if I can dig out the literature. It’s certainly designed to de removed so Lexus has intended it to be taken off and put back on multiple times.
  18. Interesting the bonnet vent cover is off, are there many on here running with it removed? I’ve left mine on thinking water will get in.
  19. Perhaps I’m just taken aback by the white colour and just how clean they are. Makes them look fake! I personally like the orange more but I’m slightly biased!

  22. I didn’t realise you didn’t even have it yet! Buying exhaust before you even have the car! Spoke to Ian at H&S today, mentioned that you had ordered one, seems he’s sold 3 in 3 days!
  23. They look like those caliper covers. Those wheels are very 90’s JDM, can imagine them coming over on a supra or something! i love 90’s JDM!
  24. I tend to use 99ron Tesco 75% of the time and Shell the other 25%. I remember watching a programme that showed Vpower cleaning cylinders and inlet valves better than the rest due to the additives used in it. Locally it’s 10p dearer that Tesco so also feel they are charging a bit too much. If it was 2-3p I would use it more but it just ‘feels’ like I’m being bummed every time I go.
