  1. That sounds brilliant!! I’ve just ordered my RCF Hayward and Scott exhaust today, if it sounds half as good as this I will be pleased!
  2. That is quite a change though at the moment quite worthwhile. I was a submariner and lived in Gosport for some time as a marine engineer too! Small world.
  3. Congratulations on the purchase, Welcome to civvie street. Its not as scary as you are lead to believe when you put your notice in on JPA!
  4. +1 this, though there are now some good quality at home products that will last. No getting away from the fact that there is hours in the prep however and once it’s on, it’s a pain to get off.
  5. I too have noticed an increase using super unleaded. Had been getting around 24mpg but currently at approx 26.5mpg using super. Possibly works out cheaper to use it.
  6. Sounds like we are after something similar. I too want loads of noise! Thanks for the info. I’ll let you know how I get on.
  7. I might just give them a ring on Monday in that case. You mention tailoring, what options are there? I’m not after the black tips.
  8. How interesting, did you just buy it in the online shop? Probably going to order mine this weekend. I did send them an email but they never got back to me, did you manage to talk to anyone?
  9. Was mentioned above I would expect that if a valeter has had a go and failed it might not be on the surface. As windscreens are laminated it could be something internally. The chances of glass having reacted to a product are almost nil, glass is a particularly non-reactive material and is also mega hard so does take some scratching! you can get dedicated glass polishes that are fine abrasives, if they don’t touch it then you’re probably going to struggle.
  10. Just out of interest, what are you looking to run the ISF discs on? What calliper are you using?
  11. As an engineer I appreciate this reply!! Doesn’t get better than that!
  12. Congratulations! I assume you are the new owner then? Welcome to the club, looks like you got a beauty!
  13. Thanks for this. I must admit, unless I can find a reasonably priced used exhaust someone is willing to sell then the H+S option is probably my preffered. My man maths accepts £1k+ but I struggle to stomach £2k+ for an exhaust system. I have enquired with them regarding an option to install a mid pipe also but as its the bank holiday I guess it may be next week before I hear anything. Addtionally, I live in Scotland so really want something I can install myself, Im an engineer so am pretty handy but anything that requires me to visit a manufacturer probably isnt going to work for me.
  14. I’m not too fussed about a switchable system, I’d end up driving with valves open all the time so seems to not fit my needs. Similarly, the commute I have is on back roads so don’t tend to sit at a constant RPM for any length of time and drone becomes less of an issue. Not sure how I feel about the quicksilver carbon tips to be honest and looks to be twice the cost of the Hayward and Scott exhaust.
  15. Anyone with any experience of the Hayward and Scott exhaust system available for the RCF. Looks to be an axle back system but as I’m after noise rather than performance, not too fussed about this. There is a YouTube video of one and it sounds nice! Am also open to installing a 2nd hand exhaust from a different brand should anyone have one they are willing to sell. Marcus
  16. Sounds good. The RCF is probably one of the better cars I've had for wheel cleanliness - perhaps its the colour but the wheels stay clean for longer!
  17. As title suggests, after an aftermarket exhaust for the RCF. Can be hard to find so thought I would put something up here. Get in touch if you have anything. Marcus
  18. Will be interesting to see how it gets on with a good clean at the weekend, will give them a snow foam and rinse then check for dirt. One of the principle reasons I went for a ceramic coat was because I try not to touch the car at all when cleaning and the coating makes such a difference when contactless washing. Hopefully the ceramic will allow me to use a wheel cleaner intermittently to get rid or iron etc without having to use a brush!
  19. Sounds really good, though depends on the format. If it’s a long weekend thing I’d be up for it though if it’s just a day trip, probably too far.
  20. Anyone with any experience of doing this? Had a go at the weekend with good results but reading conflicting reports online regarding its effectiveness.
  21. That’ looks like a right bargain! Shame it’s not for RCF. Even do it in orange….
  22. Yea, although the end result is fine, I do feel that Clansman could of done a little better with the applicators and instructions. Even something as simple as a youtube tutorial would of took some of the guesswork out of it. Starting to use the Ceramic Quick Detailer and its doing a good job, also refreshed with wife's coating on her car also! Thanks
  23. Yup, ISF and RCF have it! I quite like it actually.
  24. Wow, seen the date but didn’t notice the year!! Has very much been resurrected!
