  1. Anyone tried this? http://www.logjamelectronics.com/soundauxlex.html Looks good Tango but it would appear that it has to be ordered from the States and before doing that I would like to hear from someone who has fitted one, to see how easy it is etc. Anyone tried this? http://www.logjamelectronics.com/soundauxlex.html Looks good Tango but it would appear that it has to be ordered from the States and before doing that I would like to hear from someone who has fitted one, to see how easy it is etc. Going out again tomorrow so will see what I can find :winky:

  3. No problem, but I will say it still looks better than the photos show as I couldn't capture the depth very well due to reflection B) Also still working on removing the swirls left by the original polishing from the dealership...should have requested a minimum preparation before I picked it up. In the US it's called 'Dark Granite Mica' which I believe is a better description of the finish than Cadoxton Slate.
  4. Is anyone who knows going to answer this? I'm having a problem uploading decent quality photos for Nicnac to view. Tells me I have a 70.43 kb limit on attachments, but if I reduce a photo file to this size it won't be worth looking at. I'm sure this has been answered numerous times before, but here goes. Click My Controls, top right. In the left hand column on my controls, under Invision Gallery click Your albums. You should then be able to change gallery names and upload photos. Not sure if this is only for Gold members tho. Or else use Imagecave and then link to the images in here. Thanks for your advice...it works!!
  5. Hope this works...my album on image cave: http://usera.imagecave.com/TangoC/IS250Cadoxton/
  6. Managed to dodge the rain and shot some before the light went! A couple more...

  8. Sorry, but you know what the weather's been like As it's covered in salt and crud I may wash it today and take some piccies before the rain sets in later! Really need some sunshine to show up that deep mica sparkle B)
  9. Yeah arent tdi the offical uk distubutors for lextasy stuff, Marcus i know its only my veiw and please dont bite my head off but thats the worst body kit (maybe just front bumper) ive ever seen, youve got such a nice car just think u you could do a lot better (in my mind) sorry Personal choice, but have to agree it does nothing at all for the (still) good looks of the IS200. It's
  10. My other half asked why there was an elephant hiding in the driveway I just use it to stop the usual dust and bird doo-doo that seems to appear by magic as soon as I've spent a couple of hours washing and polishing! Actually I cover it when I'm away on business for a couple of weeks or more...one day I'll manage to clear the garage of junk!!!!
  11. My SE-L is in the same colour, and yes it's a metallic. I'm surprised it wasn't obvious in the showroom lights. In the States I believe they call it Smoky Granite Mica which I think is a better description. I don't think you'll be disappointed as it really suits the car, but guess it's personal preference as to what looks goo d.
  12. Well guys, it was the Hilton Hotel car park in central Leeds and I don't think the Porsche driver was carrying kids, and that time of night he wasn't shopping. I just put it down to carelessness on his part as I thought I'd given him plenty of room. Local bodyshop recomended a man and a van who apparently does a good job providing the paint isn't broken (it isn't). Only worry is that he reckons the guy uses a wedge between the glass and the rubber seal to get a body tool inside the panel. Sounds a bit risky
  13. Those dealers are talking out the wrong oriface! The 18" fit all the models. The tyre takes care of the difference in diameter. The wheels on the rear are wider than the front, so they can't be switched diagonally except for the 250 AWD available in the USA which has of course the same size all round (and I think 16" as standard.
  14. Washed and polished the 250 (again) and noticed a small indentation in the offside rear passenger door with a small area of silver paint dead centre :tsktsk: . Looks like the forecast problem with not having protection strips on the new model is correct, and my once immaculate bodywork now has it's first dint. The silver paint polished off (perhaps from corner of the door on the silver Boxster I parked next to on Thursday night), and the good news is the Cadoxton Slate hasn't even scratched. The bad news is I can see the shallow indent in that otherwise large flat area of the door. Anyone know how to pop it back out without removing the inside trim?
  15. Gloucestershire to Leeds and return last week. Journey out was Thursday so M5/M42/M1 reasonably clear which returned an average speed for the journey of 72 mph (sorry officer), but returned Friday with the usual chaos :tsktsk: and even with the satnav re-routing to avoid the real blockages the average speed came down to 34 mph. Guess what? Both journeys gave me an average of 28 mpg.
  16. Figures posted by Toyota in the USA for February sales: Lexus Division Lexus passenger cars experienced February sales of 10,615 units, an increase of 11.4 percent. The all-new IS luxury sports sedans, which debuted in October, reported best-ever February sales of 3,882 units, an 807-percent increase over last February. The IS 250 reported sales of 2,710, with the IS 350 recording 1,172 units.
  17. Still have my !S200 Sportnav as well as my IS250 SE-LMM and driving both so as a gut feel: 1. 250 80% more comfortable than 200 2. 90% smoother to drive 3. Performance feels 50% better, but handling I'd rate 20% improvement. 4. 250 100% improvement on the 200. No comparison really 5. The 200 is still more fun to drive, but I don't throw the 250 around as much so??? Bit unfair to compare at all really, they're totally different cars except for the badge!
  18. Bristol are having to put more peeps on. Just had an invitation to go and meet them/have a Danish pastry/browse the Saturday papers/have the car valeted :) . Hey Tango...where did you get the fancy car cover? Purchased from Lexus Houston, along with a cargo net for the boot. It's made of a light weather resistant, but breathable material and rolls up into a bag about 6" Dia by 24" long. It has heat resistant material around the back end for the exhaust pipes. Needed it to stop all the dust and crap settling on my paintwork as I'm over there more than here at the moment,
