  1. Mine from the original Lexus/Toyota subscription service / online tech resource but mine not updated for a number of years as I only need my '15 plate covered. As stated you might want to find something more recent and validated for an '18 plate.
  2. Hello again! So if you are trickle charging, you can connect to the battery without disconnecting it from the car. You can do this direct via the boot or under the bonnet connect negative to the metal strip on the engine block and positive to the jump start terminal in the fuse box. I changed my 12v last year. When you disconnect you lose all your radio presets and sat nav settings.
  3. Not sure if my service material covers your vehicle model (you have a 18 plate?). There is no date range specified for the upper arm so I've attached and for the lower arm there is a date range as below only, so I've selected oct 2016 onwards (but does that go far enough....?).
  4. There doesn't seem to be any difference F-Sport versus Standard, but others can opine if they know different. There is a difference it seems based on manufacture date (but I am not sure what exactly is different). Below is for LH side (assume you only clipped the one side?) and for the June 2014 to Oct 2016 manufacturimg period. Might be worth reconciling any part numbers printed on your vehicle suspension versus what you are buying. Unfortunately seems my resource only includes torques and no part numbers as I first thought ☹️
  5. I went for a harder compound tyres (Nexen N'Fera) to slow the rate of wear, and so far have lasted well, without resorting to more major modifications to suspension bushes or setup.
  6. James, let us know which age bracket below your vehicle is in and we can share image and part numbers.
  7. Hi Colin, this is very interesting, appreciate the info as it saves me a job trying to add protection/ deterrent behind the wheel liner. Curious how you determined this? I tend to agree looking at the wiring diagrams below. Note there are other wiring diagrams that do show canbus linkages related other parts of the vehicle, which for obvious reasons I won't be sharing on an open forum... However, reality check is that an 8 year old is300h not going to be on a crooks shopping list anyway, plus unlikely any effort will be put in by canbus hackers to develop methods to compromise any Canbus vulnerabilities of this model.
  8. Good advice from Blue marlin. This time of year, when temperatures are not sub-zero, good practice to lance jet wash wheel arches, wheels and underside. Get all that salt off. On the rear arches wear a glove run your finger around the lip of the arch to get the crud off. In the longer term will reduce the chances of any dreaded arch bubbling, if you plan to run your is300h for the long term. I may recheck the underside next summer, if there are any new spots I see showing signs of rust, will add to this thread.
  9. As if Catalytic Converter theft, and keyless relay theft were not enough, now this: https://www.asahi.com/ajw/articles/14753409 There are videos on YouTube of crooks pulling out the front left hand side wheel arch liner, cutting a canbus cable, then using a device to unlock and start the car in under 2 minutes. So after switching off my keyless entry, installing a catloc, I now need to reinforce my inner LH wheel arch, never ends, buying a tank next time! Up until this point been trying to defend without the need for a cumbersome wheel lock, maybe finally give in (although an old IS300H probably not on the top of the wish list, they'll be going for nearly new SUV models for best resale/return on their ill gotten gains).
  10. Codes for 2015 is300h from Euro Car Parts not sure if same for 2019...
  11. Had to go ahead and buy full replacements as MOT is on Thursday. As per Euro Car Parts:
  12. What I see on the rubbers at the moment. Should be factory originals
  13. Hi Barry. How did you get on and if successful let us know where you ordered from / provide links? Same thing as you the ends of mine slightly gone so will glue for MOT next week. Also, to save the planet (and a few quid) makes sense to replace just the rubbers if the rest of the arms are still in good and working condition.
  14. Nice one Rich. I think I will use the vacuum first and any stubborn bits dislodge with a paintbrush or similar.
  15. Per the topic title, does anyone have experience or tips for removing the leaves and debris from between the condensor and radiator? I can add a photo tomorrow but looking through the lower mesh, the condensor sits slightly higher than the rad, so all the rubbish collects along this gap and appears to get forced up inbetween too. Happy to do some disassembly upto a point but without the requirement to move or remove condensor or rad to avoid damage or need to drain coolant/refridgerant. I will use a vacuum with a brush end (so not to damage fins) to suck out the visible bits right at the bottom, it's the stuff in between that is the problem to get out. Thanks!
  16. Looks like 3 screws and some clips to remove the trim, then you can loosen and adjust the striker.
  17. Hi all, Cautionary tale, which is put simply is, always book your service directly with the dealership and not the Lexus online service booking system. I booked online, for a date within a year of my previous service. However, about a week before this date I received a call from the dealership, stating they could not honour the date, with the next available date just after the last service anniversary. An issue with the condensor was identified and initially there was some resistance to agreeing that it would be replaced under the Relax warranty. However, the aftersales representative did kindly eventually agree to honour the warranty claim, after I provided evidence of the original online booking confirmation. It was not the best initial customer experience but obviously I am happy with the final outcome. Ideally Lexus need to firstly fix their online booking system to correctly align with the dealerships calendar, but when there are "system issues", if the customer can only make a date then slightly outside the anniversary date, either notify the Relax warranty will not apply or better yet, clearly state it will still be honoured given the issue is on Lexus' side. Keep it simple and old school, book by calling the dealership direct or pop in!
  18. Good spot on the air filter part. The cost of parts and labour of an air filter vs. full set of sparkplugs fitted, clearly one is better value at £550 as part of a full service than the other!
  19. Just to update, Lexus changed their pricing, so that a 60k service cost is now £75 less at £550 and an 80k £75 more, so also now at £550. So may sound mad, but you might as well go for a 60k instead of an 80k each time, get a brand new set of sparks "for free", as it costs the exact same as a full service without them! Check all the items included 60k versus 80k on the Lexus website and let me know if I have got this wrong? 🤔
  20. It is good for checking when the battery voltage (the 12v aux) is too low and needs recharging.
  21. Only use the official Toyota grease as below. I had dealer do it a few years ago, was £100 for all slide pins.
  22. Some new small cracks found today, thought I would recheck as winter is coming. This time there is one behind the right light cluster too. Both now silicone sealed.
  23. Hi, there is a previous post on this somewhere with more details but condensation on the rear screen, most common reason is a cracked boot weld seam. The boot lid is light to save weight, people tend to slam it too hard. If you remove the inner boot trim, then the lights, then the trim above the number plate, you can see the cracks. In the previous post some owners had significant cracks, mine are relatively small but you still get water ingress. I just re-siliconed mine (and around the boot key hole) as winter is coming...
  24. Agree on the warranty part, they will likely insist on the full service being booked. I will ask about Essential Care as had that 2 years ago, but I expect they will state no Relax warranty comes with it. Given the age of the vehicle and the lack of transparency + faff + rigidity of dealer servicing, I will likely make this my last Lexus service (bar doing an annual hybrid check for the battery warranty). Highly rigid and limited option servicing structures just don't work well, for something that people drive a variable number of miles, where certain parts (eg spark plugs) are not due based on age.
