  1. I have the dealer fitted front and rear cams - no problems.
  2. Thank you. Mine can be set as automatic or changed manually. You can also set it not to change at all. Little differences.
  3. Not sure about when the headlights come on but there should be a control to the right of the steering wheel which allows you to dim the screen brightness. On mine one click sets it to automatic, its then dims when the light outside drops.
  4. Sorry to everyone it appears I have committed the crime of making a comment in this forum without owning a UX. Perhaps I misunderstood the Loc forum.
  5. Never said it was. Perhaps you should read the actual posts before making a comment.
  6. Peter, on this we agree (except the HMRC correctly deduce part), no they assume.
  7. He is entitled to his opinion, just like you are! What's your point?
  8. He cancelled because of the extra road tax price required to include the option of memory seats! Not the mirrors. Another example of our weird road tax system. The car costing 39K does not produce less pollution than the same car with options taking the price above 40K. Another example - CT registered Feb 2017 - road tax £0. CT registered April 2017 - road tax £140. Same car.
  9. Unlikely unless extra options fitted at purchase time (takumi pack).
  10. When I purchased my CT I was given the first service free. I went to pick up the car and as the mileage was 8300 they asked if I would wait a few hours and let them service the car before I left, which they did and it is recorded on the Lexus system (Service and Hybrid check). Could have been included in the purchase price but I negotiated down from the asking price and it was the best price I found on the internet. 😀
  11. So was it a Lexus dealer that gave you that quote? Who? If so look for a better dealer. Even a 2 year 20K service should be no more than £435.
  12. Unless your mileage is nearer 40000 in which case a Lexus dealer would quote for the 40K service at £435.
  13. What Lexus service was quoted for at £500 for the CT, you should have been quoted for the 30000 miles or three years at £235. (2019 car?)
  14. As you have found kits from China exist, but they are a little off putting. This has been asked a number of times and no-one has ever come up with a dealer option yet. No harm in asking.
  15. I have never driven the ES 300h but if you find the Prius okay and amply powered then you will have no problems. Are you really that worried? Car reviewers appear to (in fact they all appear to say the same thing makes you wonder if they actually drive the car they are testing) hate the Lexus CVT system and do not understand how to drive it correctly.
  16. Never seen any mention of this function on the CT. No mention in the manual, so I would say No.
  17. Barry where in Norfolk are you? Mine was fitted by Seven Eagell, they have a place in Kings Lynn.
  18. Have a look at this. https://lexuspartsdirect.co.uk/parts/lexus-ux/lexus-ux-2018-present/lexus-ux-accessories/lexus-nextbase-1080p-front-and-rear-integrated-dash-cam/
  19. Had the nextbase 380 GWX (front and rear) fitted at the dealers, very happy with it. Very tidy job front and rear no damage to trim or headlining. They are not that difficult to fit, the hardest part is hiding the power cable. Time and cost compared to self fit, your choice to make, but I would go with a front and rear system what ever you choose.
  20. Yes, new roads that was why I updated. The SD card they supply works.
  21. I updated my SD card with them, no problems at all.
  22. No maker gets the mileage claims right, but in more recent years they have been more accurate. Any online check now will show for the CT an average of around 50 to 55 mpg. 40L tank is 8.7 gallons - 8.7 x 50 = 435 miles. Yet you only seem to get 310 miles at the most to a tank, that does not make sense or reflect the large amount of real actual evidence of just about every other CT user - Why? You seem fixated on a claim made many years ago in an advert. What is different about your car or driving compared to everyone else? I only ask because you keep bringing it up in your posts.
