  1. it just got worse. my renewal premium starting next week, just got increased by £151 for newly reported accident
  2. I was involved in an accident today. Sideswiped by an ambulance who was trying to get out of the way of a blue light police car. Minor ding and scuff on front wheel arch but when i spoke to my insurers they were quick to say 09 reg, old car, could be a right off. Is there is no end to the insurance companies greed. I see a battle looming.
  3. I just got my insurance renewal which has gone up £185 from last year so went on go compare to see what was on offer. Mine is a 82000 mile 2009 facelift is250 SE-L with ml, sunroof, and all toys originally owned by a surgeon who could afford all toys. Go compare value the car at £2300, but decline to say where i can get one for that little money.
  4. one frosty winter my wife got up to take the car out early only to return to tell me the can of deicer was rubbish. i went to see and found that she had sprayed plenty of WD40 on every window and especially on the 2 wiper blades. took more than 10 minutes to clear up!!!!!!!
  5. My outside indicators are all working and the green lights on the dash flash as expected but the clicking noise to accompany that has almost gone. Is there a way to control/increase that volume or is it faulty? Or am I getting progressively deafer?
  6. Just found a topic by andynorman dated Dec 12 2009 "steering full lock clunk" which discusses same problem and describes tyres "stepping out"
  7. Yes it sounds mechanical like you say as though something was reseating itself. It sounds like a hammer hitting a bar.
  8. When i reverse and apply full lock the car makes a clunk noise, quite loud. First time i thought i had backed into something. Cannot see anything loose and it is no problem going forward, neither straight nor turning. Any ideas where to look?
  9. my 2009 facelift looks like that without add on. So what does it look like before add on?
  10. Not only are thegrills different, they are differentfacelift and prefacelift. Mine has 24 slats some have 32 slats, some have 26. the outer siczes vary also. difficult to match unless you have the part number.
  11. Halfords do about a dozen different sizes, stick on. You could be lucky about £8 each. Or try Lexus breakers https://lexusbreakers.co.uk/lexus-spare-parts/?gclid=CjwKCAjwue6hBhBVEiwA9YTx8KNRhL4oe-V86a0c2cz9Mg1WbNhkPfH7hMRINVGRL_ynsFze4jZlFBoCXDkQAvD_BwE https://lexusbreakers.co.uk/lexus-used-parts-search/
  12. I had the exact same thing, but with a RAC man and a Honda Accord. Exactly the same story!
  13. I am about to change my energy supplier. Going from Red Bull to Lucozade.
  14. Seems well stuck and you need to get it open to fix/oil. I would be tempted to put the motor into tilt up position and gently encourage it to move from below.
  15. I had a problem with LV in the past and said i would never use them again. When i was self employed i had 2 vehicles. one for private and a van for work. Both had over several years earned their own NCB. When the van was involved in a minor car park scuffle and a claim was filed against it, LV removed NCB from both policies which annoyed me and never made sense to me. Never say never. Price made me return to LV 2 years ago and they are efficient but just bumped my premium by £100 this time although having no claims so trying RAC for a change.
