  1. I have an Is300h & wouldn't move to an ES, too big.
  2. Have you informed your insurance company, I bet it's classed as a modification in their eyes.
  3. My brother in law has a 2 year old I Pace bought new & it has been back twice with issues.
  4. Welcome to the forum, great choice of car. This is my first Lexus after owning a couple of Volvo's, it is now 2 1/2 years old & still perfect. I love driving it, so relaxing. I hope you have many years of happy trouble free motoring.
  5. It was my Brother in law who spotted it as he used to work for Audi & he said it was common not to bother changing them on low mileage cars as most people wouldn't notice. Seems he was right as Lexus Maidstone told me it was an oversight.
  6. On the first service then never bothered to change the pollen filter until I questioned it & they said it was an oversight. On the second service they didn't stamp the service book or change the diff oil when the service schedule said it should be changed. Hopefully T/Wells will be an improvement.
  7. I have been using Maidstone Lexus for the last 2 years & I must say I wasn't totally happy with the service they provided, it will be interesting to see how well Tunbridge Wells perform with my next service in Nov.
  8. I deal with a few lawnmowers that use E10 petrol & I can tell you it definitely goes off. You can use a fuel additive to preserve it or use E5 petrol if you are going to leave it in the tank for a while.
  9. Just to confirm, I had to have this enabled by the Dealer on my 2020 model when I picked it up.
  10. I bought it second hand of F/B marketplace.
  11. I was under the impression they all come with 3 years as standard, my IS300h certainly did.
  12. I wouldn't go anywhere without my space saver , bought it a few days after I got the car.
  13. I have had two Volvo's previous to my getting IS300h comfort & my wife tells me the IS is quiter & smoother than both. I must say it rides potholes a lot quiter without the clanks. Mine has standard suspension & 17" tyres.
  14. I personally would want quite a sizeable refund given the difference in mileage no matter how nice the car is, that is a lot of extra miles.
  15. I do drive quite calmy & roll up to red lights etc, I also don't really go over 75mph on the motorways.
  16. Who knows, could make slight difference, but I like them. I also have a space saver & a boot protector to add extra weight.🤣 Mine is just over 7k miles. I could probably get a few more MPG if I used ECO mode?😀
  17. I regularly get between 46-50mpg out on my 2020 IS.
  18. I bought a second hand space saver & it sits nicely in the boot under a mesh cover. I don't like the idea of being stranded.
  19. Its a shame you can't get to your Dealer as it only takes an hour to change & should be covered under warranty. Maybe book it in for when you are free so that at least they know you have an issue with the battery & don't try & fob you off. Hopefully it will last until such time you can get it in there.
  20. Mine has only covered 7,000 miles, that's why they said not necessary.
  21. Not good is it, I had my car serviced last year as well 1st service & they didn't bother changing the cabin filter, so I had to take it back to get them to do it.. They still tell me the diff oil change is not due yet as mileage is so low & it is only due at 4 years not 2, I did point out its in the service guide & they said it is a guide for all models in different countries. Just out of curiosity I see you are from Kent, what dealership do you use? I use Maidstone Lexus.
  22. Maybe a bad batch of batteries from that year? My problems started before it turned cold, plus it is parked in the garage most of the time so I don't think cold is the issue.
  23. It sounds like a very similar problem to myself, when my battery went flat it was saying shift into P even though it was in P already, also all the lights were flashing inside & outside the car. I was lucky enough to have a spare battery from my wife's VW Polo that I used to connect up to my battery & start my car. I had no symptoms at all as it was discharging only when it finally went flat which was less than week. I would push you dealer to change the battery while it is still under warranty if I was you. You could buy a cheap volt meter just to check the voltage & record it to show the dealer, luckily I already had a Fluke multi meter from work that I used to confirm my fears.
  24. Been having an issue with my 12v battery the last 6 weeks or so, it has been discharging over the course of a week & on a couple of occasions has actually got so low the car wouldn't start & I had to jump it. I mentioned it at my service a month ago that it had gone flat & they said they would charge it & asked me see how it performs. I also decided to keep a check on it myself with my volt meter. Fully charged & after the charger was taken off it was only showing a voltage of 12.5v, this dropped to 12.2v 24hrs later, 2 days after that it was reading 11.93v, although the car did start at this voltage. Well after it going flat again last week I asked them to change it as the car is only 2 years old, this was done today under warranty with no argument. The cost to Lexus on the invoice was £225 which seems quite expensive for a 12v battery to me? I noticed it has a Toyota branded battery 12v 45ah fitted so hopefully all will be ok now for a few years.
