my first miles with my new lexus is200 today! this morning i collected my lex from the dealer. all very well cleaned and 80k service done incl. the stemp in the service book. :D

hi, from memphis of the german loc i found this: how to get your diagnostic data of your is200 on the navigator screen? with the audio unit off and the navigator screen open, press and hold the following keys with your (left hand) thumb and finger: key 1 and 6 of the audio unit and press cd key with your other finger (hand) 3 times fast. now you will see the menu system check on the navigator screen. not sure how this works since i don't have a navigator in my car but wanted to share this info. original text: Hab auch gleich was dazu gelernt und zwar wie man sämtliche Fehlerdaten vom IS auslesen kann und sein System checken kann und alles ohne Zusatzgerät einsehbar auf dem eigenen Navi-Bildschirm. Haltet folgende Tasten mit Daumen und Zeigefinger(der re Hand)gedrückt: Taste 1 und 6 der Audio-Anlage und mit der anderen Hand gleichzeitig 3x schnell die CD Taste drücken dann erscheint bei ausgeschaltener Audioanlage und hochgeklapptem Bildschirm das Systemcheck-Menü. i am with them from last october. i arranged this whole setup via internet when i was still in belgium for work. the only problem i had was some weeks ago when they did some hardware changes on their network. we had to lower the mtu value for about 2 days. some people had more problems but by the end of the day i think it's a good package. in belgium i had 4m down and 512k up no limits for 34 eurpo per month! but on this (old) island the fasted speed i could find is 256k up! i personally don't care about download speeds since i use my own servers and vpn connections. then the upload speed is more important as the download speed. the support of efh is very good, even around christmas some people got replies... the biggesed problem i find is that in the uk still bt is the master of the lines :duh: around london there are some others but nationwide nothing. in belgium / holland / portugal / germany / italy etc you have more big vendors to keep the prices low! well not here, broadband is still very expensive for the quallity you get. hope this will change in some time. on my efh adsl i have a whole (linux) network connected with firewall / dmz / lan bear in mind that you only get broadband and no extra's like web space / email etc etc. i pay with my maestro card every month, they have a kind of control panel to manages your payments. the contract is min 3 months and all goes by email. i don't know if they are keeping those prices. i am on 512-50 unlimited traffic (cheapest one since all upload speeds are the same :tsktsk: 256k) hope you can use this information, if you take efh mention my id efh569 then i get a fiver :winky:

that can be a mtu settings problem with that adsl line... try google on: mtu adsl etc

have a look at http://efhbroadband.com i use this provider. comes with no standard email and web space so fine for broadband use only. i run my own web server at home and soon email srv too.

had contact with the dvla today about the v5c registration certificate of the merc. since i never received the full v5c registration certificate. (bought the merc 27/12/04) dvla told me that they never received any notification for change of owership. i want to px this car this saturday for the is200 but being told that is not possible... i am being told by the dvla i have to fill in a v62 plus the v5c/2 and sended to them. does anybody else had this before? can the dealer do anything?

well quite simple no. your workplace door slammer has to pay what isn't your problem. and the other thing wasn't your fault either so. whats your problem?

i have 6% apr on the is200 i just bought... so if lexus tells us that 7.9% is low... than i live in the netherlands again and speak italaan!

my merc has the same colour setup and i really like it too. strange because my wife likes red and the most previous cars i had before were blue... but it's true when you see it in real it's nice. lexus bristol wanted to sell me an blue with dark interior. no. i don't like dark interior cars. they like your last taxi in life. :winky: well the lex will never drink more petrol than my 1967 land rover!

today i bought my first lexus is200 se auto. will collect this car on the 29th of jan. the car will be get a service, cleaned etc etc. the merc 190e will be p/x. :D i can't wait to pick it up! so now i am a full member...
