  1. Sorry guys, i've been laid up with a bad back If the wheel is Geometrically "visibility" set back the car would definitely pull left, additionally the steering will be down to the right. If the car has been involved in an accident but doesn't pull then the reason is the body line (sprung chassis) In the event the car is pulling then the logical reason would be a bent tie-rod not a bent cross-member, obviously this is an opinion until the chassis is measured.
  2. Thanks everyone.... As said before i am truly humbled by this team effort... I love you all :P
  3. It's so, so cruel....... But fun at the same time, bless those "apprentices" ;)
  4. This reads like "National Lampoons xmas vacation"...... you don't sell buttons do you
  5. I can say without a shadow of doubt i have two lead feet.... Apparently i dance like i've got a wasp down me pants  must remember my video camera then I'm still under the impression the wife and i will be alone in some hotel in Milton Keynes on CCTV whilst everyone else is cracking up at the real meet in Glasgow or somewhere
  6. I can say without a shadow of doubt i have two lead feet.... Apparently i dance like i've got a wasp down me pants
  7. All in good jest, here's a compalation sent to me of the wim team..... I'm the good looking fella on the right http://elfyourself.jibjab.com/view/qfrFC2FOt0RgDAsQOznn
  8. I'm so humbled by this thread... ..... Cancer research will get an injection from this so hopefully others out there less fortunate will have a chance in life, plus the wife and i have our first night out in........ five or six years I have a sneaky feeling there's going to be some "fail" images of me upside down in a blender arriving here anytime soon In preparation i've cleaned me best underpants. "Dance anyone" :D
  9. This is where i express a word of caution..... I have every respect for DL but question the sudden change in fee's... As a result i contacted Paul and questioned the rise but he couldn't offer a reasonable explanation. DL in my opinion are one of the best in the UK for domestic calibration but "get an up-front price", that way no one's disappointed/ surprised.
  10. They are very good and they use the wim settings but please try to get an up front price from them... Recently their prices have gone through the roof, which i'm not happy with and i expressed this to Paul the owner who could not explain why the prices have changed. I feel a national average fair price to calibrate the IS200/300 is £120, there's no reason why it should cost more.
  11. It's nothing to do with Geometry.... More like pressure, point to remember about pressure is the suggested pressure is exactly that, a "suggestion", you have to adapt this to suit you and your driving environment. "Suggested" is not the law.
  12. The fact you have visible tyre wear has nothing to do with the current repairs... The OEM settings has "errors" which i re-wrote some years ago and is available in the LOC knowledge bank for free :)
  13. Understand music's not my thing.... nor are phones but i have some tone that starts from a recent song "I was standing in line and couldn't get in"....... Reads a little submissive if i analise this thread
  14. Nice touch..... Be sure it's off in any important meetings though "grumpy bar steward" ringing wouldn't go down well
  15. Do you think the tone is a reflection of the owners personality... I mean if you were with some lady on a date and her phone range heavy metal would that make you think.... or maybe the lady's if the mans phone rang some romantic, sedate tone? We all have personal tastes in music but most times this is in private, the ring tone is for everyone to hear.... What do you think?
  16. Oh dear things haven't been good for you have they, nevertheless it reads like you still have a "chin up" attitude which will serve you well during these difficult times....
  17. Yes, it is. And it's just the front passenger side tyre that's worn on its outside edge. Of the total tyre width what percentage do you think is worn? also is the wear smooth or feathered.
  18. Unusual to wear the outsides..... Is the car drifting left?
  19. Nice one Jay...... It was a pleasure to meet you both on Saturday :)
  20. By volume of comments i feel very comfortable i did more than required to resolve the complaint.... Those in business understand my conundrum, on the one hand we did damage his damper (cosmetically) on the other hand we was given permission to work outside of the box.... when this went wrong the blame was laid at my table. I'm still not sure this owner was either an opportunist, a fanatic or just plain ignorant?... I feel the later is apt. Dealing with this complaint or any complaint opens conflict, i thought he was wrong and i still do but it's a hard call to satisfy someone who's line of sight is so trained on past experiences with other company's.... The only satisfying element in the whole situation is that i can say "you are not welcome back"..... That's long hand for "P-off :)
  21. It's good to read all is well...... Nice one with the keep fit by the why.
  22. I think Tony used to much "leverage", hence the bend... and yes heating it up again would have worked fine..... Or even rotating the damper shaft to centre the top nut in the mount would have worked.... But the owner wouldn't have it?
