  1. It's been a "hot/ cold" year for many this year.... Let's be positive for 09 ;)
  2. Oh dear..... still it could have been worse.
  3. Abouy £100 mate. You should wait till the next LOC day at WIM and make a whole day & night of it :winky: And dose anyone know when this will be, Tony ??? Blimey, no not yet, i've got so much going on early next year i don't know how i'm going to manage..... I would think mid to late summer.
  4. Welcome back Fargo... I thought you had defected not banned
  5. If the wear is even then the reason for the low mileage is either a poor silica compound in the tyre or a heavy foot...... it's nothing to do with the chassis or Geometry... Personally i think it's the compound.
  6. Hello James.... Welcome to LOC :)
  7. "Blackbetty"........ that wouldn't be you would it "Mike"?
  8. Nice one Stav...... keep the tools bit quite for now though mate
  9. I would like to express the same message :hohoho:
  10. "Good time".... I was healing the world, ye old brain went to pasture for the evening.... come to think of it so did the guts in the morning so maybe i did find a "kebabery"...
  11. No idea where i had gone to till 2.30am?...... i think i wanted a kebab :)
  12. I think you did :winky: "I give up, I'll do anything you like so long as you get me away from that shirt" Not sure what i was doing there..... I think i was protecting my ears from Dave's "loud" shirt .... Scary thing is i thought it looked ok
  13. Are you near to me?... I'll measure it for free just to give you piece of mind!! Failing that here is how i would test-drive the chassis. 1: Does it pull left? 2: Does the steering return the same after a left/ right turn 3: "Difficult one" are the visible threads on the steering arms the same? If these rules are met then i feel the set-back is cosmetic.
  14. What a night..... Easy trip for me until we got to MK and the prat-nav kept saying "turn left, then left, next left, and left again" anyhoo we found the hotel in the end. Then the "funny jokes began".... At reception i'm given a "key card" and a card displaying the room number.... 217, at the door the card didn't work?.... maybe it's a badly written 2 so it's 717, so off we go to room 717, did the card work?..... no. Back down to reception they gave us another room, 404.... so off we goes but it's a "non smoking" room, whereas we was paid to be in a smoking room..... so back down to reception and we was given another room 304, got there, got in (yay) but no lights?.... we hit all the switches "nothing".... By now it's no longer funny so we headed back down to reception only to meet wozza and aido who kindly explained we need to put the key card into a pod inside the room to "activate" the lights..... what they failed to say is we have leave it in so they stay on ...... the wife was "perfecting her lippy" then blackout, "nice smudge". The team gathering was superb, a "hoot" to say the least (according to Mr's Mole's" language), meal was fantastic so what more could we ask?...... other than loads more tinnies. After that things got "vaig", Mr's wim got "rat arsed".... I recall walking the streets of MK looking for a "Kebabary" at early o'clock but failed, although in the room this morning there was two pizza hut boxes which is kinda odd since i don't like pizza nor do i recall eating one or two? All-in-all a superb meet, thank you everyone that made this happen.... Special thanks to bazza for his "insistence" wim attended this event, but "top of the tree" thanks to johnboy!!
  15. A compelling watch.... I didn't want to nor did i like it for the start but some lessons are meant to be painful.... It worked for me!
  16. ive seen that too It's clever stuff and it has to be because of the diverse types of cars we work on, domestic, modified, fast road, track, Drift and so on. Then there's collision diagnostics with added trigonometry and some triangulation for good measure :duh:
  17. If there is a pull you will need to compensate by holding the wheel RHD..... Fact is you need to drive the car and see if there is a pull.... If there is see how well she comes out of a left turn (rate of steering return) compared to a right turn. If there's no pull..... forget about it :)
  18. Sorry to read this and like the others say at least no one was hurt.... other than some pride.
  19. Thanks Adrian, this is a merry Christmas indeed. What's very rewarding about everyone's generosity is the surplus cash goes to cancer research which is a topic that touches all our hearts.
