  1. Not true!! wim loves ya :P ...... Maybe you was there after one of our club days?..... For some clubs it's a "free-for-all" stickers, paint off the wall even a bollard outside went last meet. Not the LOC meet though, everyone acted with decorum :D
  2. Many thanks Tony, you have and still are being very helpful. I will take you up on your offer if needed. A very grateful novice, Tommy Team LOC, that's what a good forum's all about :) ...and WIM of course go home you have a pm.... So i have...... Sorry Dad
  3. Actually i have one of those biblical tummy bugs.... Nothing a four pack of Andrex can't sort but i do have an ulterior motive for not being at work? If i give them the bug then when i'm better they will be off sick and i'll be on me own Time to snuggle under the duvet now methinks.

  5. Thank you.... It's good to read the team maintaining standards in my absence...... I'm off sick at the mo
  6. I'm pleased you have found somewhere.... Mend the joint first and remember i am just a call away if they have problems during the calibration or they need the data converted to different increments.
  7. Always sad to see a fallen solder but you have valid reasons we all feel for and understand..... Good luck with the new car Keith and please stay with us...... Just between you and me i don't own a Lexus, in fact i drive a Citroen but i still enjoy LOC and it's good natured members :)
  8. my sticker rides around the midlands tony :winky: but went to newcastle on tyne at weekend so it was up there as well :winky: all best neil Your a star..... do i owe you any money :) .... Funnily enough i had some images of cars at the ring with wim decal on them, nothing amazing about that other than one of them was a DB9 B)
  9. Hi Matty welcome to LOC... The mirror is an easy purchase, even the likes of Halfrauds should be able to help you there.
  10. A stunning example, you must feel very proud.................. I would :)
  11. But this is all wrong, i feel really sorry for you! Yes the handling is better since the Geo has been recovered to the OEM positions but those settings will historically wear the tyres... If my math is correct the front cambers should be (decimal) -0.2d
  12. Let a younger driver have your car for a while Wise words indeed
  13. That's a good honest setup but they have followed the OEM settings not mine so the tyres will wear the inners "sorry". I think the issue they had is numerical language and their inability to convert decimal degrees and minutes to degrees and minutes. Does the car drift left now?
  14. Was this before being WIM'd? Suspension does seem to get a bit too soft at high speeds on my car too. Hopefully the WIM treatment will sort it. Getting close to being able to get it done now... I can answer that. The Geometry calibration on the IS moves the vertical lean of the wheel and the fore/aft position, effectively the migration of the wheels radii on compression changes as the un-sprung chassis and sprung chassis compresses "on bump". What we have is a more effective relationship between the coil/oil and the tyres contact patch, many members have commented on how much better the brakes work after a calibration..... fact is the brakes are the same it's the tyres contact patch and how efficient it is that's changed.
  15. I'm really pleased she is driving well Chris, i really hate it when i cannot adjust an angle but i'm my worst enemy by over analyzing things....... or am i :duh: Anyhoo you have the handling back now that's the main thing..... Love the color by the way as you know, yours is only the second red IS i've seen in 100's i have calibrated.
  16. RF= Reinforced XL= extra load (same as RF) TL= Tubeless All the tyres you list are the same other than the sellers descriptions
  17. Thanks for the kind words guys... As some know over the years i have tried to find trusted centres so that people don't have to travel 100's of miles to me... Problem i had was policing the trusted centres since they are not under my wing so to speak. I have targeted three areas at the moment mid's, north and Ireland, mid's being the first. Anyhoo this isn't helping Tommy.... The best i have so far is> http://www.nigellangsgarage.co.uk/profile.htm and no they are not the franchise.
  18. OOHH where abouts mate or would that be telling at the moment :D i'd still come down to see you anyway Still in the prelimarary stages but this will cover the midlands.
  19. I sent tommy20165 the settings but i don't know of a centre that far north, although i have a franchise pending in the midlands B)
  20. I admire their honesty..... I don't think they'll be running a TV ad with it though
  21. The tyre condition won't affect the Geometry readings.... I think the wear you can see now was done before the Geometry was set.
  22. Nice one...... welcome to the world of Lexus :) as for the error code, i think you may find the code is in error since they all do that In fact the Director of Lexus GB said in a statement recently that his entire team of experts which is Dave, Dave's mate Bob, Bob's wife and the lady she walks the dog with but not on Sundays, unless Dave wife is ill and Bob walks the dog and then Dave's wife does walk the dog on a Sunday ..... That when the error code appears it suggests that it's broke. On the bright side they said any future use whilst broken will not be detrimental to the experience you already have :)
  23. After dealing with the tyre wear on 100's of IS's the only patten of repetitive wear was under-inflation, so we upped the normal pressure to 35psi.
