  1. I forgot to say we do tyres (ooops)... Don't be to worried about the disc's yet, KF have a habit of being, lets say "over keen" to exaggerate
  2. I broke both my arms as a kid so i can sympathise.....
  3. Look good.... Are these out of the box or refurb?
  4. Oh dear.... see you soon. This is a good independent site> http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/ We do sell tyres and for LOC members we sell at internet buying prices?
  5. wim was involved in this acting as an arbitrator. I wrote a factual report regarding the tyre wear and the reason for the wear. Chris was advised by his solicitor not to converse visibly (online) about the allegations since trading standards and wim supported his claim, which is fair enough to be true at that point. The last i heard from Chris was that Lexus GB had shown concerns over his claims regarding the tyre wear and they were taking his complain into "consideration?". Chris phoned me saying Lexus GB are acting on the complaint and he would contact me asap with more information once available..... He never did! My investigation into the results showed that Chris was paid off by ? and has since dissolved away from the topic.
  6. There's a Research topic on lowering a Tezza in the clubs knowledge base..... If i recall it's from stock height to -20mm 30mm 40mm 50mm and took two years to compile.
  7. One of my staff refused to test drive a car because he thinks it's an endorsable offence.... But some of the owner/ driver track cars that are fully decaled up say they have never been tugged on this. I ran the topic in wim and it never really concluded so i wonder if LOC members could answer this once and for all.
  8. I must say the balance figures were awful, how they thought they would get away with that is beyond me
  9. I have heard conflicting reports on this...... Is it legal to have number decal on a road car, say 33 on each front door?
  10. Unfortunately their machine is not up to much.... not even a printout. This was last year maybe things have changed but it would be wise to ask.
  11. wim's going..... We have one car in the event :)
  12. I would prefer 36.25942 psi but why argue Point to remember everyone is that "within reason" the tyre pressures recommended by the manufacture are "suggestions" not law.. We all need to find our perfect pressure born from a little monitoring of the tyre wear and the feel from the handling... Be warned though +- 1 or 2 psi is the range, please don't progress outside of that without absolute reason.
  13. Our study showed 35psi beneficial for the IS200/300/SC.... as for the feel yes this may change but it's hobson's choice between tyre wear and comfort.
  14. Tango's opinion is very valid people so please take heed.
  15. 35psi front and rear unless additional load parameters are suggested in the handbook. Years ago when we was testing our new calibration positions we had four regular research cars and loads of "fine-tune" cars where we monitored the tyre wear.... The only consistent pattern of adverse wear was under inflation hence the move to 35psi from 33psi.
  16. Congrats.... Nice to read the car has gone to someone passionate about the Lex.... As for the vibration i think this will disappear over time, Scorps hardly used the car so it's probable the brakes just need a good work out.
  17. Scorps car..... well your car is done with now, meaning the research is complete so other than you hitting a severe pothole or something you shouldn't have any tyre ware. Current projects are the 220/250/350
  18. Scorps car was one of our original research cars..... The chassis has been measured several times :)
  19. There was no need to superglue his arms to the door tho........ Then sell the car ...... Looks like it was a fab meet, well done everyone, especially 2D :)
  20. If they put the actual money in the holes that would help Then you'd moan you couldn't get over it :D Indeed..... Comments down the pub like... "I hit a bunch of £50 notes last night and done me wheel" would be abundant if the new revenue actually went into repairing our moon like scared roads. I can hand on heart say the second most common reason the Geometry goes wrong on "any car" is due to the pothole!!
