  1. Are you still looking for a car
  2. No not covered under relax, as they don’t cover seals as they are classed as degrading / wearing parts but they did only charge me £860 including Vat could have been thousands. But they charged me enough that I didn’t mind and kick up a fuss. As even if out of warranty seals/grommets should not deteriorate like that
  3. After 20 hours investigating they have traced leak to the seals around the clips that hold the chrome strip across the roof that follows the b pillar. all fixed now hopefully and car dried out
  4. Just found out that the rear passenger footwell is soaking wet should have check proper before Going into Lexus Wednesday.FYI 5he charge 3 hours to strip and investigate leaks at £180 per hour. Ouch
  5. Yes air con on permanently and I have no wet clothing or anything thing like that in the car, I know it’s probably from temperature variation, but it is very wet seems more than is normal. Is there and air vents into the vehicle that may not be clear and cause moisture buildup.
  6. Hi I have been having a problem with condensation lately on my windscreen more on the N/S but all across windscreen Anyone have any ideas on possible cause, or have had the problem on there crar Winston
  7. Cheaper than a small service on an Aston or 911 it’s a bargain for this type of vehicle
  8. I pay mine monthly, a 2 year deal is £43.75 a month
  9. I took mine in for fault and never asked what the fix was, but has been trouble free since
  10. That’s a minor service on a 911 if your lucky
  11. Hi DD I’ve had a Vantage 911 etc etc Trying to retire and don’t want silly running cost so for reliability my only choice was the 911 to LC500 if the Porsche is over 3 years old, you have warranty at over £1000 per year and servicing at about £1000-1500 with the LC you have a service about £450 and that includes a warranty OK the car doesn’t quite have the Kudos of the Vantage or 911 but it is a much better car . And the interior is on the level of a Bentley.
  12. Hi I have a 69 Sport plus you can definitely notice rear wheel steer , as a longish car it is very easy backing in and out of spaces. not sure about the other things as I have only driven mine. Winston
  13. Hi Neil the Hillman Imp was a great little car, my girlfriend at the time had one and i was just happy to be picked up and taken somewhere, where I could drink. But you have to man up and admit it is not the most manly of choices ( I knothat is unacceptable in this day and age, but he didn’t buy it in this day and age 😂) saying that I would have driven a Hairdryer as any transport was the greatest thing in the world if you were the first one out of your group to have transport 👍🏻
  14. Yes, the timing of vehicles in your younger years has the most impact the opel manta was an epic car when I was younger also my cousin bought an SD1 V 8 rover, the engine was magnificent those cars with power and looks had a more emotional impact than the much more powerful cars now. A while ago (17) plate I bought my wife an Audi Q2 it is only about a 1.4/5 engine, and it does 0-6 in around 8 seconds that’s about the same as A Peugeot 405 MI16 I bought that was the fastest car I had had at the time 0-60 is becoming meaningless, as there is no where you can really use it and anything under 5 seconds is no slower around town than A Porsche 911 Turbo (
  15. Not easy to answer sorry I can’t name one but will have to say 3 Triumph Herald convertible was my first car and having that freedom at 18 is hard to beat Second the Mercedes 2.3 CLK convertible, my first new car and my first car of that sort of value and I loved it Third the Aston Martin Vantage, the car I regret selling the most And no matter What else I’ve had An Aston is what always draws me back Hopefully my next car will be the ne shape Vantage Thanks for asking Theo86 , What have been you favourite cars?
  16. in order Triumph Herald convertible Lancia beta spyder Matra simca bagherera MG Maestro Turbo (not sure if this counts, burst seemed very quick at the time) BMW 323i Bauer convertible Peugeot 206GTI Peugeot 405 MI16 MG roadster 1800 BMW 2002 Nissan 1800 Turbo Mercedes 190 Cosworth Jaguar XKR Saab 900 Convertible Mercedes CLK 2300 convertible Porsche Boxster 3.2S Aston Martin Vantage Mercedes SL 400 Porsche 911 Lexus LC500 I missed out all the boring stuff These are just the cars that I remember that gave me pleasure and excitement at the time Thats all that sticks out there must have been more fun stuff. It takes me back just rewriting this out. great memories
  17. I think he said sports cars ?
  18. My LC is on 12,400 miles and tyres about due for a change they are big fat tyres and scrub out easily
  19. I do like the DB 11 but think the vantage is better looking, I love the DB 11 when it came out but put them side by side and the Vantage just looks perfect. if I didn’t go Aston I would go 911 S the new S is all you need actually the base Carrera is enough but the S gives that bit extra anything more is unusable My friend and neighbournhas a new 911 Turbo S convertible it’s lovely but he pootles about at 20-30 miles an hour and Even when he puts his foot down I can keep up in the LC because he has to ease up after a couple of seconds
  20. I love my LC 500, and I know that it’s the best sports car in its category for running cost reliability warranty etc. etc. but my heart is still with the new Aston Vantage, I use to have the old shape, and love the new model and Merc engine may help reliability and costs
  21. This is my absolute favourite piece of music ever ❤️
  22. I find Brillo works with the scoured much better than fairy liquid
