Would the car throw a CEL or something when they fail? I've noticed my car is getting slower and consumption is going through the roof - I've used nearly half a tank of Optimax doing 80 miles (I was a bit above the speed limit) but should have thought the car would be doing more than that?! Would this be a sympton of Pre CAT failure?

Masterbait.... I dunno Mat, I don't do that anymore...... Moved on to that tantric stuff now, it's more fun when you don't touch it for hours on end (makes a change for me too!!!) You know the weird thing, my car is fiddled with as you've all seen, but they tend to leave me alone!!!! I'll just usually get the kids drooling and giving me thumbs up - I think I've blipped it twice when I've been sat at the lights just for a grin when I was trying to show my passenger what a supercharger sounded like - lets just say a few heads turned..... I tend to get the repmobiles getting the closest to me, if that happens I just drop it a couple of gears as soon as the speed limit goes up and floor it if it's safe just to open up a bit of space - they don't normally catch up either and that really seems to catch them off guard :) The foglights trick also works nicely if I want a bit of space opening behind me!!! Can't remember who said that but it works well!

What sort of budget do you have and what sort of power gains are you looking for? If you speak to Prolex-UK or TDI they should both be able to help you out with a location in your neck of the woods.

Depends what you want mate, supercharger kits are proven and give 53bhp extra, if you don't want to have that outlay then you could go down the route of upgrading the exhaust, intake, remove the precats and maybe go for an aftermarket ECU but they are all more beneficial when used in conjunction with forced induction.......

Only if it's an uncompressed bitmap mate, what I mean is that why don't you introduce a limit say of 25kb per signature while you're at it? Just thinking that it could help the dial up users if JPEG compression was more heavily used?

Guys, time for one of my stupid questions again.... I guess one of the reasons for this is that it will reduce the size of a page that is loaded? If you are making these changes would it not also make sense to introduce a limit on the byte size of the image as well? That's probably the major bugbear for users on dial up? Or are these changes being introduced for other reasons?

I think the unit has to go either to TTE or you should be able to take it to anywhere that Eaton recommends. To be honest I don't really know where abouts you are in regards to Cologne?

Cheeky git!!! I have neither! I guess I have to go for the dual as that's what I've got but the TTE quads do look excellent, shame they never produced the IS430 like that as an option, would be nice to see that on the road!

We use the Altiris Xpress imaging software on our kit running HP hardware RAID - HP actually wrapper this up and offer a solution called Rapid Deployment Pack which is good for imaging server kit.... Basically it works with anything, and you also get nice tools to take a snapshot of the hardware RAID config so you can blast that out across as many servers as you like! Works great really.

Not impressed here to be honest, Colin nailed it on the head when he said it's a watered down GS - this is the poor man's GS now to be honest, the GS is the car to get out of the two now IMHO. The original IS struck me the first time I saw it, I knew I wanted one straight away - this one didn't

Interesting, those alloys look very much like the one's in the pics we saw, but, in the pic above they have a straight face, whereas in the CAR pics they were slightly angled.... Plus look at the body crease to the left hand side of the alloy in the top picture, where the side skirt fits on the current IS's, that's not present on the CAR pics so they could be just another interpretation (albeit very close to the real deal...) The alloy's look good though, they'd look nice on the current IS too :winky: Less than 24 hours to go
